So it WAS a scorpion? Damn dude :/ I'm glad you went to the er though!

Yeah I wasn't sure but they told me the symptoms were that of a scorpion sting. They gave me a shot and some Vikodin. I'm gonna be having someone come over and spray the hell out of this house. I'm just glad it wasn't a black widow cuz I had an anaphylaxis reaction to that in 2005. Ahhh vicodin feels soo good:)

I gotta agree with Crest here...

I've been stung about half a dozen times (Arizona native). Just some stinging and numbness.

Perhaps it was smart to go to the ER your first time to confirm you're not allergic or something.

I'm an Arizona native, but it's the first time I been stung(by a scorpion), and for all you tuff guys out there I don't know if your familiar with an allergic reaction to nuero toxins(black widow), but it's the most pain I ever experienced and your airways get blocked and diaphrams siezes up and all your muscles in your body contract each second creating a never ending and building up of a burning sensation. I certainly didn't want a repeat of that. But anyhow i'm gonna pop more vicodin.

nah when it stung me, I flung it somewhere in the room, it was dark and I havn't captured it yet. I'm gonna spray the room and look for it.

I used to almost step on little baby scorpions in our house, we had spanish tile, hard to see them. Then there was this one time we were ditching school and were at Sabino Canyon, my friend was peeing on the side of the hill and she almost got stung by a scorpion on her vajayjay. I should go remind her of that. Funny times.

I had a climbing accident when I was 16, and I had to be rescued and carried the 2 miles to the nearest road. Needless to say I was given a rediculious amount of morphine, and felt like I was floating down a river for the hike out. I didn't care about the fractured hip and compound fracture of the leg. It's good fluff.

Should move to Tempe / Scottsdale - none of those scary critters around here.

Since moving from the 'newer' builds in Chandler 4 years ago, I haven't seen any Scorpions.

Getafix - I used to blacklight and find 3-5 every night in my backyard when I lived in the areas that were recently converted to homes from farmland/desert. These things are creatures of the devil in looks, but to most people, completely harmless aside from the numbness and stinging.

Thats cool ericowns. You know, I went to 1st grade in Scottsdale. There was one time a neighbor came over to remove a scorpion from a sock drawer. I'm sure my Mum and Dad weren't to happy to see it! I don't remember much about it all. Hopi indians right?
