Yep, seems pretty legit. That's why it's funny when people on these forums support the policies that are ruining their nation so unabashedly.

Your nation is screwed; it bothers me that it will take mine down with it when it falls.

Interesting, though not surprising; and I agree with pang, I'm concerned that the trends America sets tend to occur up here as well...

This is valid for 90% of the world, not only USA.

US has never been a democracy. The fact they use democracy and not republic makes me question how much they actually know about how our government works. However, as Alin said, you could use this for most of the world. I would note that as the years have gone by and government grows larger, the gap between rich and poor grows larger. Seems almost like less government oversight and regulations = more equality...

Edit: PS, whats with calling this account a new member...haven't posted in about a year, but why new member?

Related note, since lots of people are at least intellectually involved in politics and macroeconomics, figured I would share this. I compiled this years ago from multiple governmental databases. So piecemeal, if you want a source I can't remember them, but they were all .gov sites.

Let me know if this doesn't share, it should be for anyone online. I only just added it to my drive...

When I put this together I didn't run across it on the .gov sites. I'm just throwing out what I have cause I know there are many here who may feel inclined to analyze it themselves.

Interesting; what were your sources for that btw?

I need to find a detailed breakdown like that for Canada...
