Alliance had a gap of 24 hours. But there is a 3 day gap in Express. Why not start the next round immediately?

This is just a guess, but I would say it's because the game resets so much more often in Express. There's probably about a day's work to do to reset the server, and given how busy they are developing and such, they probably want to leave some time so that the server's maintenance doesn't become so cumbersome.

Again though, that's just a guess. Could be several other things as well...

I don't see a reason why it couldn't all be automated, but maybe i'm just straight ignant.

I think they're working towards that point - unfortunately, OMAC wasn't motivated enough to do something like that, so they'll have to build all the tools from scratch.

I'm glad there's a big gap. Just to catch up on sleep for the next round.

New rounds start automatically. I believe there is the gap so that the majority of the round takes place on the weekend.

It is all automated :) we added a gap so people wouldn't burn out lol...

and yea, it was meant to keep it on a weekly rotation approximately, though that i think got slightly altered when we extended the sets....

Yeah, weekends kill me too.....besides, I'd much rather kill my employer's time playing express than my own! :-D

Most people have things going on during the week, like school, or work, or some other fruitful endeavors besides just playing this game. :)
