It's also much more usable on a phone....

Oh, and also, try it out at different widths; if you have a really thin browser window, you get the mobile version, which is a bit more blocky, but is also much easier to read on a phone

I don't mind. Change always throws people off at first, but you'll get used to it. I guess this must be the time of the year for upgrades. I play some Kixeye games and they just changed their website and forum around too... also looks a bit more boxy like this. Has a bit of a Google feel to it.

I don't mind it. It's different, but it's also a nice and subdued grey-tone, which is easy to read with tired eyes.

I like it. Looks like we're finally leaving the 90's aesthetic :D

Only problem I've had is when I tried to log in with my mobile first thing this morning. I just got the "error1" that I get when not logged in when trying to log in. Turns out the "convert your account" process or whatever you want to call it doesn't work very well on my mobile Chrome on Galaxy Nexus android. Worked fine on Chrome on PC later.

It is just something different. People hate change at first. I am one of those people..it falls under the Taurus sign about hating change lol....

Personally, I'm not really a fan of how much space the user name section of each post takes up, and overall there's a lot of space taken up on the screen that seems to be excessive whitespace
Also I can't tell easily when there's a new post on a forum

But I think the worst part of it is that now I think we're going to have to update the wiki, and I'll have to actually *do* something for a change :( damn you qz and pang :P

Edit: This sure sounds more negative than I wanted. Not hating the forums so much as some minor styling that I might just fix on my own with a custom local .css :P Yay for progress etc

My personal grievance is that I hate signatures. They just get in the way of the simplicity that was great in the original forums. If the blocks on the left are so huge, is there a way to use them for sigs? I hardly use mobiles so I have no idea how the changes affect that experience.

I use Chrome because Earth Empires looks like fluff on IE lately.

Seems there are still a few bugs here to be worked out (see thread titles)

Maybe this will grow on me but right now, not a huge fan. Would be nice if we could have avatars again since there is so much room under our names :)

I like it better, but here's a few changes:

The post count and timestamp should be moved either up next to the name or below the body textbox, and font should be smaller on both.

The textbox should be extended on the right-side so that it is symetrical with the left side, or the container should be decreased in size, and the whole thing centered.
