Very very impressed that ebert has changed his gameplay from 8-10 topfeeds a set to some nice hard working bottom feeding!

Is it working better or worse?

well probably a bit worse as it is less efficient - but it's more gentlemanly
it's nearly impossible to have the same land by turn 800 from intensive bottom feeding as you would from topfeeding

all in all it was a very noble move on ebert's part imo and it should be noticed.
we all complained, ebert changed.

LOL this set he got retalled like 6-7 times LOL.

The irony is that it's a lot harder to mid-top feed because the retals are more easily done.

lol crest that probably played a factor in ebert's changes. but tbh from my private dealings with ebert i've found him to be a very rational thinker and an all around gentleman

i suspect he realized that not only was he getting retalled often, but he was also pissing a lot of sound players off and i dont think anyone sensible would want to do that because:
1. good way to get owned every reset
2. mean people suck!

the victim has opportunity to not only recoup his land but also to recoup much more than what was lost, with a successful retal.

making bottomfeeding both more gentlemanly and more noble

bottom feed is just a sorry,lazy,bully way to get your land..Why not mid feed and expect retal?

Where's the sense in that? The idea is get AND keep the land. Not get and then maybe keep it.

I have to throw a secondary mention out to the owner of Oaktown.

He has changed his style similarly, and has been rewarded handsomely so far this set.

I just started playing earth again from back in the 2025 days...so was a learning curve. Also I was a techer. From 2025 days you had to grab big or you ate all your turns grabbing...this is different. Learn and get better. Not saying I wont hit larger targets but I realize the benefit in smaller ones.

That's cuz Ghost Acres are pretty ass.

Hit someone for 100 acres, get 350.

Midfeed is like hit someone for 600 get 1000.
