Tbh tech should be $3000 for the first part of every round. It would balance out EVERYONE. Techers suddenly have a chance to win. Cashers are finally slowed down! Farmers are likely to get a nice boost on account of the rich techers. Yeah, that's what we need.

I read somewhere, thought it was last set that someone was stealing money via spy ops, but when I read the help it says that you can destroy money, but you can take it. The only beneficial spy op is the steal tech op. (I forget he proper name)

I can't seem to predict this market. Didn't we all think this was a horrible set for cashers for a second? Doesn't seem like it anymore!

Yea, I think there was a small number of guys who do 1 topfeed a day and tech 30+ turns early set this set, so tech looked good. But there were actually a few players who really know how to play techer so once they got larger and started really teching, tech looks much worse.

Now I'm trying to figure out what food will do heh=)

There are only 2 farmers above 20k land, and you have to figure out what food would do?!?

I was going to play a farmer this reset, but decided not to because Rob was also going to play a farmer, so me playing farmer would be 4 large farmers - a bad life choice. Rob then quit a week in, so that leaves the current 2 large farmers - an equally bad life choice not to have played a farmer LOL!

There are some mitigating factors though - Herbs and metgyl both quit as well - they were both cashers. Tech/food/oil/military would all be higher than they currently are otherwise.

I think 2 large farmers=good farm set. 3 large farmers=normal. 4 or more=bad farm set.

Now, the set we have 1 farmer...that will be interesting=) But still the large farmers are maybe 1/3 of total food market I think.

We need to drop some indies! After everyone avoiding Indy like the plague last set, it ended up being decent. Now we're flooded with indies. I'm going on an Indy farming spree. Oh, guess not, oil is $5 biggillion per barrel ATM. Lol

There were tons of good size indies earlier compared to last set. I think the market is slowly killing off the lesser ones now.

They'll go up from that in the last week or so but only get to $150+ on the last day or two. Bushels will crash under $40, probably down to $37 or so.

Bushels crash whenever the first techer decides to jump. That's when the military prices will push back up as well.

Will there be enough units on market for a jump? Doesn't seem like the game is as big as it used to be (Primary used to have 5K + when 'mehul' was running things).

There are currently no jets on market for example.

So how does this work?

Almost usually yes. All the top players will have over 50k land and can jump fully from their PM in under 1-2 days. Public prices rarely go past $280/NW at EoS (i.e still cheaper to buy turrets from PM).

Last set was unusual and it went to about $350/NW because there was just so little indies last set.

Refreshes with turns given, but existing goods decay with turns given as well

The private market refreshes every turn.
3 x land for troops
2.5 x land for jets/turrets
1 x land for tanks

With every passing turn it decays at a rate of 1.5%.

Heh, bobby. It's almost 50/50 if you can even sell goods right now. And when/if you do sell, oil is $650 or $900 something. Lol. It's been several days or something where I've sold a partial order or nothing or had to recall etc. market is killing us. Especially at this point in building costs. Lmao it's pretty funny.

Military prices are making a U-turn.
The inevitable tech prices crash is about to start (or have started).
Food price is just going to continue go up.
Oil is taking a hit but should rebound soon when the demand catches up again.

Interesting set.

I don't think oil is going to go back up. I think producers and indies, etc. have adapted and we'll be consistent from here out until the crash.

I think food will hold pretty steadily as farmers grow, and, if tech prices crash, techer demand will drop somewhat. I am not sure if we will see a big tech crash, though. I haven't spied on Gogy but he's started attacking again and may have converted to farmer which would be a pretty big swing in production from tech to food.

And yep, I've noticed military sold out a few times lately. The low prices got too low and aren't holding up. The growing farmers and cashers are going to drive the prices up to something better for indies.

Does the typical topfeeder think their target shouldn't be allowed to retal more than once? Even if one hit doesn't recover their land? Or are they just daring the person to break GDI? Hoping they do and there's a war, or hoping/believing they don't have the guts?
