I think with the spiking building costs, demo casher was an interesting choice because it can stock and destock more efficiently. I think I could have won

But perhaps you're right. The person I am fighting is insisting he has never played any server before and it's his first time playing the game. Sounds like a load of fluff and a poor cover story. Maybe never played before *on that account,* LOL

He's never played before and he went direct to bomb structures and knows exactly how everything works. :} Heck, even if he never HAD played before, if he's that smart, he'd understand he can't hit me over and over without getting a war.

Why do you say that? Teching up and going jets was the best response for someone still trying to maximize net. Now he won't finish top 10, but that's just b/c this is a horrid set for techers.

I'm guessing because as he does the retals he'll just get fatter and fatter and then more ppl will grab him. With the building costs now, it's hard to grow your D if you're buying food/oil/jets and building up a ton of land over 25k acres.

Assuming he can afford to build all those acres at once, that retal on herbs12 will take him like 30 turns (very rough estimate, too tired to figure out actual land to build). Add 4 turns doing spy ops w/o failing, 3 turns to grab as a demo. That leaves him with about 15 turns to tech, 1 to sell - not a lot of revenue to do another big retal the next day. So he'd end up retalling every other day and hope no one else grabs him while he's getting fat but not growing his D.

It's a vicious cycle unless he beefs up D a LOT for two days before doing retals.

We'll see.. I mean if he can keep up NW while doing retals you may be right, but from my experience (never as a techer though) once you get grabbed a few times it takes awhile to get back to equilibrium w/ land with the ppl around you as you do the retals.

Depends. If you're strong enough the biggest threat comes from countries like CROATIA that will midfeed high jet countries. You won't get bottomfed if you're dangerous and strong enough.

Also I have been playing on my cell phone in the field this set. Most times I have spotty cell reception. It comes and goes and usually had very minimal time to play. So I was lazy and didn't really have time to look for bottom targets and took a shot.

I am back at home now so I can start playing again properly. But I think at this point there is far to big of a gap to catch up to the other big cashiers out there.

And this tech thief is getting me good he's really starting to piss me off. I might just farm him for the remainder of the set and war him.

Tech thieves are like mosquitos. herbs I don't think there's much of a gap for you at all. Play it smart and you could still take it.

On a side note, what happened with #180? I don't know if I've seen someone get farmed so bad by so many top guys. I see a few bad moves by him but that seems extreme

After their second hit on me I wrote a message about how topfeeding is fluffty and they apologized and dropped all turrets. Seemed like a pretty cool person. Note I didn't hit him 100 times, just enough to make up the ground I'd lost. But anyway, then other people caught on and farmed hard and that's that. The amazing thing is I incredibly escaped that jam only to have someone else pick a fight with me for no reason haha.

War in Primary is pretty boring. You can see I AB'd him a whole bunch, I had 160 turns at the time, and still hardly did much, but that's the max possible. You haven't seen him do crap, he's just hanging back and doing bomb structures but they don't kill any buildings anymore, only like 40 per op. I maxed my warfare and lob some missiles at him but now he has SDI. Even if I stocked 80 (80) and bought 4m tanks how much damage would I be able to do? Oh well, I still had to do this because he made me do it, so what can I say.

If anyone in Primary Talk doesn't know, I was set to finish with 37m in Express, which would've been one of the top 5 scores of all time and the highest by far since the building cost changes, but h2o used either a multi or a friend to 6x tap me while I was in the top 5 and had a massive break. I still won but no records were set and this guy is dirt.
