I never played in any of these, but QUEBEC, HAN and the SERBIA crews were the most entertaining bunches. Something about making alliances based on your location in the world really brought together flavourful groups.

Also m0m0 was probably the best.

You're probably right about the numbers with IX Spoonman, but you're definitely off the mark about Citadel killing Pinoy. They never recovered from that was and most of their members left, thus the remaining members had to run massive numbers of multies to make up the difference and thus Mehul got them. :)

New alliances or modern incarnations of old tags, no idea. But for the ancient pre-primetime alliances, I'd have to go with HAN Michael /OOA/ NorCal SOL / Inferno TIE and Fingolfin UCN. OOA being by far the weakest on that list, but a popular vector for emerging megalomaniacs in its earliest days.

The prime time 2k alliances went through leaders, spin-offs, tags, and stats like tree mulchers. Even in that dynamic and chaotic environment everyone was having a pretty good time; until RD came along and targeted nothing other than accomplishment.

Hope those guys are busy pumping gas somewhere cold.
