Both Candyman and Silver did their initial Private Market jump as Monarchy (by oversight obviously). They both lost ~15-20m NW as a result.

I expected BigBen to have finished about 270m btw, at rank 5. :P

A grab followed by a retal, is land trading to me. Whether it was organized or agreed upon is irrelevant - both sides gained land.

For example, Rockman getting grabbed by Evo, then him retalling is land trading, even though Rockman never agreed to be a participant and was an unwilling participant.

As another example, Candy getting ABed to the ground by KJ, followed by Candy grabbing an Evo country, and then the Evo country retalling, is also landtrading - in this case, the process is to gain 2000 built acres for free per trade, even if Candy's overall land didn't go up at all in the exchange (and the Evo country's land went up by 1-2k).

To be more specific, the act of gaining land and buildings via ghost acres is what defines land trading to me - the process of exchanging land to generate ghost acres. (So bottomfeeding is not land trading because there is no retal; there is no TRADING of land.)
