demo flipper can do that. and yes it is big for that land, but not big in the whole picture. going to need over 1 bil to break the top 10

Grackus: The most common ways to get a country up that high are:

1) Market manipulation: Place goods on sale on the market for a crazy price and use your other countries/clanmates' countries to pump money into one country.
2) Stockpiling/Selling off a stockpile: Build up a large amount of bushels and cash, sell off all the bushels at once and spend the cash.
3) Foreign Aid: This one's trickier than #2 for sure, because you can only FA countries smaller than you or ones that are moderately bigger than you. There's a ratio that someone can tell you (or that you could find on the wiki) that determines who you can and can't FA.

I'd say that pretty much every country that breaks 500M does at least 2 of the 3 above. (I'm sure there are exceptions, still, but this will certainly be true for countries with 8k acres)

Thanks ZIP. I used to know, but it's one of those things I quickly forget as soon as I don't use it for awhile.

And yes, these things don't tend to happen as much early in the set, because once you have a country that's at a very large networth (especially if the networth/land ratio is especially high), your expenses are so high that it's brutal to use turns. So people tend to basically build up as much wealth as possible and cash it in at the most opportune time, which is usually either at the very end of the set or about 2/3 the way through when the food market peaks.
