=)

It looks pretty clear by now that america has spoken. Your magical underwear cannot stop the will of the American citizen.

I'd recommend that in 2016 that you don't forget about the hispanic demographic, the homosexual demographic and also not alienating a majority of your constituents with terms like 'legitimate rape'.

Four more years starts now =)

If things change dramatically and President Obama does not get reelected then I will gladly eat my words.

At the end of the day though, we're all Americans and we are all on the same team. We need to work together to continue bettering the best country on earth.

Yes because all I could ever want is a billionaire that wants to lower tax rates on those that have plentiful money and contribute nothing while I get my taxes increased?
I want someone as a president that flip flops on every single issue?
I want someone that can't even take the time to think up a 5 point plan that is viable? Seriously the guy runs his mouth about a plan but never releases it or even can give a single detail other than cutting Planned Parenthood and PBS? yay! %.02 of the budget cut!

I want a president that ships jobs out of the country? So when I have children of working age or I lose my job I have to go to another country for work?

You know what... fluff Mitt Romney.
It's pretty hard up when a rich white guy can't beat a lazy black guy.

Actually the President represents the most powerful lobby in the country. Not to mention being able to veto any law and that especially goes for a president in their second term or who isn't interested in reelection.

Beyond that had Mitt Romney won he would have had control of the house to go along with his power. If you think Romney wouldn't have instated his will on the country, you know nothing of politics.

Yea, it's because of the precincts remaining. Cuyahoga county would be the main reason.

It was a win for Obama, but the Reps are looking to pick up seats in the house. So, no mandate either way which brings us to a stalemate for the next 4 years. Probably better than our government doing anything to cause more problems.

Out of curiosity... why would they vote in Obama but vote in a different House? Is that intentional or is it because of the districts? Maybe this is kind of a half support or...?

Most people don't.

Because the electoral college is decided by popular vote in each state, and congress is determined by popular vote in each district, someone who wins by a lot in a few districts, while losing by a little in a majority of them, will win the electoral votes from the states while losing a majority of congressional seats.

We lost the Presidency. But I have a plan to help the USA. We must embrace the fiscal cliff. Boehner must not waver. We must be willing to shut down the government for an indefinite period of time. That means no pension money for our Veterans who risked their lives for us. That means no money for anything. But it also means the deficit is gone as the government would be unable to add to the debt limit. It also means long-term we would be better off as people would realize they need to be self-sufficient and not sponge off...Fiscal Cliff

Planned Parenthood is evidently like .008% of the budget. I was being generous with rounding them both up to be .02% of the budget.

Compared to say the DoD Special Projects Fund or doing something about interest on DoD debt that is nearly as high as the DoDs annual budget(not taking into account the Special Projects Fund, DARPA, or shared budget items like nuclear weapons upkeep).

Half a trillion dollars on DoD debt interest, an undisclosed amount believed to be in the neighborhood of $350 billion going into a slush fund for a department that already gets $750 billion in budget allocation, and $2.3 trillion just gone most likely spread out to other countries used to cause the collapse of another countries economy.

So I find it odd that Romney or anyone would go after $300ish million that is actually productive when there are so many opportunities to cut much more.

I would also guess that the Special Projects slush fund is sitting with money in it. Curious why Social Security is always the first account to be plundered.

Kill PBS too!

I really don't understand how Republicans think it's going to solve anything other than score political points and kill probably the only bearable non-biased serious nightly news cast that isn't filled with bile hatred for one party of the other.

Actually that's probably a good reason for them to kill it. Keep Americans in the dark even more.

They can kill PBS a thousand times over and it won't make much of a difference.

Amusing Trife that you open with suck it and conclude with "lets work together." With that aside, four more years starts on Inauguration Day and the election was the status quo, almost to the dot.

Republicans still control the House and won in several leans D seats (Chandler, Barber, etc). The ironic part is despite voting for the status quo, the American people are actually tired of it.

So in 2014 the Rs will gain 3-5 Senate seats, 5-10 House seats and a Governorship or two. But you were keen on one key point, Obama will pursue comprehensive immigration reform and if he fails, he will then do an executive order attempting to lock down the Hispanic vote for future Ds--a very savy political move.(edit: I should add that I'm not sure you realized the extension of your Hispanic point when you said it, but I figured I would connect the dots one step further).

You're entitled to gloat about maintaining the status quo, but then so is John Boehner about doing so with the House. The person eating the most crow is probably Mitch McConnell given he really could have picked up seats if he had better candidates or at least ones who didn't say stupid things (IN,MO for commentary and candidates for MT, ND and if election went slightly better for Rs than VA and WI). Alas, nothing changes much--still have the healthcare law, still have sequestration to deal with and still the massive debt.
