I realized the other day that I haven't played this game in well over a year. I don't want to lose touch completely, so I want to play a reset.

Just to be up-front about what you'll be getting if you recruit me:

- I've forgotten everything I used to know about how to play.
- I was never any good when I did play.
- I won't be on the multiple times a day required to manage to strong finish.
- I'll rely on good advice to manage any kind of finish which isn't an embarassment.

In LaF we can get you to 140m+ nw, and all you have to do is follow some simple instructions. You won't have to play more than once a day either. And even if you can't follow instructions to the letter (very very many people, me included, can't do that), we can still advice you to get 100m+ without you or us breaking a sweat...

Does that mean that most LaFers can't follow simple instructions?
Or just fluffed up destocking? lol.

Well, if you have a strategy that has detailed turn by turn instructions for the first several 100 turns, and where it's optimized enough that you need to follow it to the letter (and not have too much bad luck with random events) to not run out of cash, it gets kinda tricky I guess. Or boring if you don't understand what you're doing and don't see the point of fiddling with building X + Y buildings where X and Y is changing every few turns :D

Also I think sometimes people are just too stubborn or lazy or bored to follow a strictly made up strat.

edit: Usually I find that inexperienced but ambitious players do better than most old timers because they listen, follow advice, and ask smart questions if they don't get it rather than just do their own thing and suck or semi-suck. (No offense to old-timers like me ;))

Wouldn't an understanding of how the game work in action as opposed to theory be good part of moderating the game?
