A Recent History of LCN

Resets V to VIII were Posted by Zuraw -- August 2000

V. August 1999 - October 1999

This would be the first full reset under Earth version 5.0. This reset would also bring many changes to the LCN.
Prior to this reset, Doctor, Sigil, Guile, and Servant all left LCN for personal reasons. Eddie came into LCN as a head to help Brink after the departure of 4 valuable heads. Eddie would fill in the gap of war preparation and coordination left by Servant's departure. Skyline was also soon promoted to fill the void of Internal Affairs, also caused by the departure of Servant. Archmage left for SoF, and Griffey joined him later in the reset.
LCN neared 50 members at the beginning of the reset, picking up members such as Annie and Lynn from the ETU, a shared RoCKFamily training grounds. After the last full reset and with growing numbers, LCN was more recognized in Earth. We took the LCN tag that reset, the first reset which included the tag system.
Near the beginning of the reset, LCN restructured internally, led by the ideas of Servant and the Norseman. The number of leaders was drastically slashed, and LCN became setup very similarly to a military hierarchy. The heads remained largely static, while 4 division leaders were chosen: MidEvil, the Nihilist, Ravioli, and Z. These four formed a solid core of division leaders for LCN.
Not long into the reset, problems with HAN began to arise. Numerous landgrabs accumulated. Despite our newly adopted retaliation policy, the grabs continued, upsetting many members. Over the course of one day, about half of LCN was spied on by HAN. Fearing a cataclysmic first strike from the 150-member powerhouse, Brink declared war on HAN. The strikes for well over the first week consisted of ABs, heavily recommended by Pez and other old-style fighters, used to the bug that resulted in the inability to kill a country. La Cosa Nostra stood no chance, and HAN quickly killed off LCN countries. When LCN restarts began to target and take down top 100 HAN countries, peace was finally agreed to.
With a host of restarts, LCN became quite bored. A few days after BOTFeds threatened LCN to destroy us with their powerful 55 member alliance over a few landgrabs, LCN took them up on that offer, killing off half of them before the end of the reset while not losing a single country.
LCN had finally fought a real war and had experienced the effects of a reset of warring. Another piece to the puzzle of becoming the top-ranked alliance fit nicely into place, despite the heavy losses to HAN.

-Z
VI. October 1999 - January 2000

The advent of this new reset brought few leadership changes. Z was promoted to handle foreign relations with the retirement of Debonair. Servant left for TIE, but the rest of the leadership remained unchanged.
Before leaving, Servant posted on the heads forum about an up and coming alliance: RED. Servant had heard that a lot of good tournament players had formed the Real Estate Developers in 1A. He encouraged the leaders to either NAP with RED or to work out a merger this reset.
However, LCN's attitude about RED quickly soured. As tournament players new to the 1A scene, RED hit anyone they pleased, including the likes of LaF, MD, HAN, LCN, Legion and any other fat country. A RED member Paulinsk quickly rose to the #1 spot in the game. Because LCNers became upset, Z opted to beef up jet production and concentrate fully on RED retals. He and a Legion player both broke Paulinsk that night, only to receive two and three retals, respectively, from Paulinsk the next day. LCN quickly mobolized for war, calling upon any other alliance to hit RED as well.
During 11th hour negotiations, SpicyBeef (for all intents and purposes the leader of RED) satisfied Brink's demands, and the gangbang was called off.
During the upcoming weeks, excessive landgrabbing of other alliances caused problems for LCN, as Brink turned away possible wars with Arrow and BoA. Tensions continued to escalate with CWG, leading to a first strike by the Clowns on LCN. With superior networth and numbers, LCN fought defensively, eliminating AB threats to its netgainers by ABing tank-heavy Clowns but killing limited numbers. After a little more than a week, 25% of LCN could not participate in the war because of humanitarians, and Z and Banks called a truce.
In the week preceding the CWG war, Brink, Z, and Osloos talked to SpicyBeef about the possibility of a merger. It so happened that the timeline of the merger called for it to happen just a few days after the start of the war with CWG. As such, CWG was overwhelmed by sheer numbers and net.
During the course of the reset, Something left LCN for TIE, opening a heads spot which Maggots then filled. Griffey was also re-promoted to heads level access part way through the reset.
The reset after the Clowns war, aside from the resignation of Pez and a scuffle between Brink and UCN, finished smoothly, with the exception of the 2^32 tech bug. D Man, one of the top netgainers in all of 1A, had already lost 2.6B bushels on the market while trying to juggle more than 2B at different prices (which no longer worked). Nevertheless, he had secured an easy top 5 spot. However, after showing off the tech bug in FFA with country names similar to his own, he was deleted by Mehul, along with a host of other players all over earth.
Despite his deletion, LCN secured a 3rd place average networth finish (discounting the Avengers 11-man Protest tag and Monks 10-member tag). Brink also finished in the top 10.

VII. January 2000 - March 2000

After the impressive netgaining reset, LCN looked to increase its power in 1A. With the addition of RED last reset, LCN had grown into a 100-member alliance and had lost little quality in its netgaining prowess. Prior to this reset, a group of players, including Dyce and Kaz, had formed the Mystikal Knightz. Talks between Brink and MKZ quickly led to talks of a merger. Talks with the 20-member NATO alliance led by Silver also resulted in a merger, putting LCN over 150 members. Soon after the start of the reset, LCN had 140+ tagged countries.
The start of the reset brought some leadership changes. Servant returned to LCN as a head. Eddie, who had been largely inactive the reset before, resigned. As such, Z assumed 2nd-in-command in LCN with Servant 3rd-in-command. KAIN and Tiggerai left for the clan Retals, assuming leadership roles in their new alliance. Griffey also admitted Ronnie to LCN as a member under an alias: Dr. Evil.
Despite the large number of inexperienced players garnered from MKZ and NATO, RED helped pull LCN along to impressive showings in netgaining. However, the newbies caused headaches for the leaders, resulting in the deletion of nearly 30 members and 20+ countries within just a few weeks. Inexperienced players also caused friction with some allies, most notably MD. However, those problems aside, LCN continued to netgain impressively, being touted as a top 5 alliance in many rankings on AT.
On January 24, Brink posted a State of the Nostra address on the members forum, in which he praised LCN for its dedication and hard work. He also announced his retirement from the position of President, effective January 26. Servant was then appointed President of the La Cosa Nostra.
This reset, Fingolfin challenged SOL to a 1:1 duel. Brink and Z talked to Norcal, arranging for LCN to police for SOL during this war. At the last minute, it appeared war would be averted, but as attacks slowly started, the battle began. Because of the sheer number of questionable countries hitting SOL, LCN could not keep up with all the required kills, prompting TSA to take a more active role in helping to police. Even then, kills did not come easily.
Meanwhile, within a few weeks of the start of the reset, a leader in LCN noticed some oddities with Dr. Evil's grabbing methods. Ronnie was on trial in the leaders forum for running multies when Mentar approached Z. After Omega had received a landgrab from an untagged top 100 country, he called out his spy team to investigate that country's allies. Mentar presented Z and the AT community with conclusive proof that Ronnie was running multiple tech allies. By the end of the night, leadership had voted unanimously to boot Ronnie.
The rest of the reset brought more excitement. After heeding Griffey's advice from the previous reset and dropping Surfer as a DNH/NAP, LCN started to become entangled in a slew of heavy landgrab exchanges with Surfer's descendant Elitez. Very limited contact between the leaders of the two alliances led to a significant number of retals on retals, with both sides deliberately grabbing the other incessantly. Servant, Startiger, and Louis, together with Snoopy as mediator, finally attempted diplomacy despite the cries for war from LCN members. Elitez offered to let all past actions drop for the opportunity of a free-for-all day in which both sides would grab the other as much as possible before a NAP was signed. Finding this offer outrageous, Servant prepped LCN for war.
Further negotiations between LCN and Elitez proved futile, as LCN launched a massive first strike on Elitez, expending over 1200 attacks the first night alone. Three to four days of ABs from LCN leveled many Elitez countries. However, Elitez immediately started killing LCN countries. Despite receiving a horrible first blow, Elitez slowly pulled even with LCN. Then, in a matter of just a few days, showed incredible coordination and cemented their victory only part-way through the war. LCN attacks gained better coordination and effectiveness throughout the war, but it was too late. Despite an impressive showing the last week or so, LCN lost. Elitez killed nearly 100 countries in the 4 week war, while LCN mustered about 50 kills.
Because of attacks by a few multies early on in the war, Z immediately began to look into multies within Elitez. Countless hours of work concluded in the most definitive proof of wide-spread cheating in Elitez, recognized by a number of other alliances. However, reaction on AT was mixed, some condemning Elitez, and some questioning LCN's reasons for posting when it was clear Elitez was starting to beat them hands-down.
As planned, Servant resigned the Presidency just before the conclusion of the reset, handing control of LCN over to Z.

VIII. March 2000 - June 2000

During the war the previous reset, inactivity had plagued LCN's war efforts. RED also had reorganized and decided to leave LCN in order to become a division within SOL. With the departure of additional members, LCN had barely 80 members. However, this group of 80 was largely composed of the same group of core members who fought HAN. This established a solid base upon which Z could rebuild LCN.
Prior to the reset, DIStopia approached Z about an offer from Ragnarok and CWG. The idea was to create a circle of friends to protect one another. As talks continued, NoN, a former member of The Family, entered the circle of friends. Z also arranged friend status with SOL and TIE. KAIN and Tiggerai also returned just before the reset. KAIN was soon promoted to head status to lead the mentoring program. SpicyBeef remained a head, helping KAIN in his duties. Griffey left LCN for SL.
With a solid structure of friends in place, LCN started the reset, quickly moving to the top 5 in average networth. As the reset wore on, excessive hits on Mercs Inc prompted them to approach Griffey for temporary relations. However, Griffey told them to leave him alone. Apparently, MI took this as approval of a 72 hour DNH with LCN. As LCN continued to randomly landgrab MI, Mercs Inc gathered their ally UC and did a first assault on LCN. Within 24 hours, Ragnarok and CWG entered the war, both hitting UC. Again, LCN slaughtered Mercs Inc, killing a number of countries while losing only 1 country to the combined forces of MI/UC. After approximately 5 days of war, Souldealer approached Z and worked out a pact between LCN, MI, and UC for the rest of the reset, ending this skirmish.
The 5-day war put LCN at a disadvantage in netgaining, trailing SL and SoF by a fair margin. KAIN and SpicyBeef continued to utilize the mentoring program, helping LCN to slowly move back up the ranks. However, this would not become a netgaining reset for LCN.
A UCN-Boot country began to suicide on Z and another LCN member. Fingolfin refused responsibility for the country. LCN heads talked of war against UCN. However, a peaceful resolution was reached, and the country was killed.
Shortly thereafter, Ruth, now leader of Rag, had found out that Lady G had put Camelot spies into Rag, among other alliances, including LCN. Ruth and Rag intended to exact revenge, and Ragnarok struck Camelot. In fulfillment of their TSA obligation, Omega countered, hitting Ragnarok in defense of Camelot. CWG, who had planned to hit UCN the same night, switched targets to hit Omega instead. LCN was to be called in within the next 48 hours, for CWG was to be hit by others in TSA. Meanwhile, SOL had been hit by RAGE over some landgrabs. SOL easily overwhelmed RAGE, but talk of Arrow entering the war in defense of RAGE circulated. As such, Omega and CWG worked out a cease-fire, allowing Rag to destroy Camelot. Indeed, Arrow hit SOL. Swift reaction from TSA brought alliance upon alliance onto Arrow. Talk of UCN and/or Armageddon entering against TSA also abounded. CWG planned on hitting UCN with NoN. In defense of both their friends in CWG and in SOL, LCN joined the fight against UCN. Armageddon opted to hit LCN instead of TSA. LCN continued hitting UCN until IX pulled out of WWIV to also hit UCN. Two days after being hit by Arm, LCN began hitting back. Early success against high-ranking Arm countries prompted Arm to begin killing low-ranked LCNers in an attempt to catch up on kills. Despite being outnumbered nearly 2:1, LCN fought to a draw, killing 23 Arm countries while losing 28.
The reset ended with a talk of a merger with a division that was breaking off from Armageddon, but that never panned out. Despite the reset of war, LCN finished 23rd in total networth with 63 members, a far cry from normal resets.

IX. June 2000 - August 2000

Weary from two full resets of warring and wanting to re-establish LCN as a premier netgaining alliance, Z set out to keep LCN out of war for the entire reset. The number of NAPs and DNHs climbed to over 40.

This reset brought many changes in leadership. Near the end of the war with Armageddon, Akula, who at the time was running almost all of LCN's war chats, disappeared without warning. Servant also stepped down to veteran's status because of real-life time constraints. Griffey again returned to LCN as a member. Fandango and Ravi were promoted to head status to work on recruiting and Internal Affairs, respectively.

Very early on in the reset, LCN captured the first spot in average networth, as per our usual fast start. As the reset wore on into boredom, LCN maintained a top 5 average net ranking, despite the erroneous rankings ingame. Over the course of several days, LCN landgrabbed TGA pretty badly. However, through the diplomatic work of Lynn with Peanut and Z with Digtek, a reasonable solution was found, satisfying TGA for the excessive landgrabs and avoiding the possibility of war. Because of her great work dating back a reset, Lynn was promoted to heads level to continue heading up LCN's Foreign Relations.

Nearing the end of the reset, more leadership changes occurred, with the resignation of SpicyBeef due to real-life constraints. And Akula also suddenly reappeared from a 6-week business overseas. Finally, Brink began to participate more actively in LCN after a much-needed break from the game.

Toward of the reset as well, war started to break out on the server. Elitez and SOL were going at it for a while, called a truce only to have Elitez break the truce 2 days later with fully-saved turns. In an effort to compromise and help our friends in SOL while at the same time preserving our netgaining reset, we sent the Dirty Dozen to SOL to help them fight Elitez.

Because of the bug with the tag (it was counting our tag country multiple times and lowering our networth), we retagged from LCNostra to xLCNx with just a few days left in the reset. However, that tag also had the same problem, adding 8 "countries" to our tag by the time the reset was over.

That reset, LCN finished 2nd in average net and 6th in total net, having the highest net for any alliance under 100 members. Perhaps the best indicator of success for the reset was Jonah's division. Las Vegas was a 20-member division with only 4-5 vets in it. It finished with an average networth of $62 million, beating out other more "experienced" divisions. :)

After a reset of tightly hugging trees, the attention of LCN members quickly turned to wreaking havoc in war the following reset.

X. August 2000 - November 2000

After a full reset of netgaining, the membership of the LCN was hungry for war: the transition from pansy netgainers to netgaining fighters was nearing completion. As such, LCN leadership did not set out to expressly avoid war this reset, limiting the number of pacts given out.

As per the norm, LCN got out the gate quickly in netgaining. With total membership topping 100, landgrabbing problems quickly arose. Z, Lynn, and Ravi often handled the major issues that arose that reset.

An issue unrelated to LCN occurred when a group of 10 multies suicided on NM. Various theories were thrown around as to the origin of these multies. LCN, in concert with a number of other alliances in 1A, changed targets in a war drill to help to dispense with these multies before NM sustained even higher losses. Thus, LCNers had already had their first taste of blood for the reset.

One of the first FA issues that arose was with Dragons. Dragons came to LCN complaining about being farmed, but not until a few Dragons had suicided on an LCNer. As such, LCN was taking its due retals on the suiciders. Because Z, Lynn, and Ravi caught the Dragons FA in a number of lies, LCN was unwilling to reduce the retals or to grant a DNH. Because the Dragons FA could not get a good solution, he quit Dragons, who was already missing its two leaders (Blackjack and Cardonia). Peanut (who was now in TGA but had been in Dragons recently) came into negotiate for Dragons. The situation ended with LCN granting Dragons a 24-hour DNH. Dragons later fell apart because of a lack of leadership.

Landgrabbing issues also arose with POW and AoD. POW was around 150 members at the time, and attempted to throw its weight around onto LCN in chats. Z would have none of that, holding firm on demands despite POW’s much larger size. The conflict ended peacefully, with the signing of a DNH. Likewise, grabbing issues arose with AoD, with both sides having made a few mistakes. We had double-retalled one of their retals on a retal, most likely due to the news bug. An LCN country then sustained heavy damage as a result of the AoDer not being too happy. Neither side was really willing to compromise. Fortunately and surprisingly, Ascendant came to the rescue, willing to compromise for the good of both alliances.

For part of the reset, Annie had been in talks with Judge, Speedz, and Karatz from Legion. Legion was having significant leadership problems and was looking to merge into another alliance. The two alliances ended up talking at length about a merger, but were unable to agree because neither was willing to compromise on a name for the alliance, with some old-timer RoCKers blocking the idea of merging into and becoming a part of LCN. Legion ended up merging with Armageddon to form Legacy.

Soon after that fell through, things began to heat up with TIE. Despite good relations in the past, the departure of Patience together with LCN’s dislike of Fingolfin and the new TIE leader (Croaker, former VP of Fin) caused relations to sour. TIE’s FA approached Lynn concerning excessive LCN grabbing. Before long, the TIE FA posted the issue on AT. This put LCN in a tough position because in order to save face, LCN could not back down and accept what TIE wanted. Z approached Croaker about the problems and was unable to reach an agreement. During the course of the next few days, LCN caught TIE doing multiple spy ops, prompting LCN to also spy TIE. Further discussions were fruitless except for a TIE FA calling Lynn a “fluff.” The standoff continued with Z finally deciding to end the standoff and to first strike TIE. LCN planned a 1am gametime strike and was able to reel off over 3500 attacks in the first 24 hours, severely crippling TIE. The war continued with complete LCN dominance. Z finally approached Croaker about ending the war. Terms were agreed to that setup a DNH for the remainder of the reset. As per the terms of the agreement, LCN agreed to basically let TIE

===================
RD & earlier History
===================

Elitez was founded by Jeocity. It was called SkySky at first named after thu cybercafe that most of the members played called SkySurf at Subang(I think). However, shortly afterwards, alot of their countries got deleted as most CyberCafes have the same IP address, and Earth 2025 has an auto deletion of cimiliar IP addresses. Jeocity left after his country was deleted(I can't remember the exact reasons) and Jackmin took over. SkySky was renamed Sky Elites, and finished quite well that reset.

The next reset, Elitez joined TSA(The Soverign Alliances), a teaching(supposedly) coalition formed by SOL. That reset, SOL went to war with HAN for some reason that I can't remember, and Elitez joined in on SOL's side to fulfil its FDP. Elitez killed alot of HAN countries, suffering minor or no casualties. However, NLS and some other alliances threatened to step in if Elitez did not withdraw. But it was an unfair fight, HAN declaring war and getting the first strike, with superior numbers compared to SOL. Elitez declared war on NLS and did successfully defeated them. It was then that SOL asked Elitez to pull out, stating an unknown super-power would step in and tilt the balance if Elitez did not. That alliance was RD, and they really had a few hundred bots. Within the first day(I tell you, I'm really gewting blur here), alot of Elitez's top 200 countries were getting hit by untagged countries, and(it was hard to get 6 hours without getting hit. The public were calling Elitez mad people to go up against a force like RD, by Elitez weren't just about to be pushed around. Soon, the HAN/SOL conflict stopped, and allies like BoA and SOL entered the war and started killing RD countries. By the end of the reset, there was no tagged RD country left standing.

=================
October '99 reset
=================

This reset, Elitez started of 70+ countries strong, going under the tag Sky. This was the reset that we ended with 2 top 100, with GeO ending $104,842,314 and Vi~ce ending $79,638,239. We started of with a d2fl site, before eventually getting a Gamerstown one and abandoning the former. Elitez ended 9th rank in average networth and 25th rank in total.

This was arguably Elitez's worst reset, ending only with a few active accounts and less than 30 countries tagged. Only a couple ended above the average networth. Jackmin left half way through to make way for Vince and GeO to take over leadership. Generally a quiet reset, there was no risk of wars, being under the protection of TSA, and with few countries. GeO still reached reached 55,000 Acres (impressive at this point in Earth History) at less than 40 million networth.

==================
January 2000 reset
==================

This reset, GeO retired, and Louis took over full leadership with Startiger, VeLDrane, and later Chiao, being the Heads. Jackmin and Jeocity returned shortly as well. This time we went by the tag ELITEZ. Starting out with around 45-50 members, the reset appeared to be much better. Despite getting do a slow start, slowly climbing(in the networth ranks, a merger with AutoMP propelled Elitez membership to 80-90 and the average networth slowly rose to around the 10th rank. The alliance produced from the merger was named the Ultimate Surfers Alliance, going by the tag SURFER.

Midway through the reset, a new alliance, Cryptic MoNKs, began to perform major landfarming on Surfers. Retaliations were done in the form of 30 big PS on what was called 'Happy MoNKs Day'. The next day, MoNKs declared war on something that appeared to be more than reasonable retaliations for Surfer to get their land back. Their first strike was haphazard as they were not given anytime to prepare. Random ABs were handed out without any coordination. Soon, TSA started to question the move of the 60 PS on MoNKs and why they were not consulted on such a drastic move that would affect their reputation. After a while, a 20 member alliance tagged xZoDx joined up Surfers to help them out in their war. This was in fulfilment in the FDP that was signed at the beginning of the reset. MoNKs started groundless multi accusations started regarding the sudden jump of 20 members, in which they were actually xZoDx members. This caused Surfer to be temporarily suspended from TSA. However, ZoD leaders managed to convince TSA that they were not multies and eventually SOL began policing in the war.

Around the 10-18th of December, TIE negotiated a ceasefire between Surfers and MoNKs. This was to much protest to the Surfer members, whose accounts had already been turned into parking lots, and could no longer netgain. What happened soon after was controversial. After storing turns for a few days, Surfer re-entered the war and resigned from TSA despite their protest. They who were only interested in their reputation. Talk was going on that TSA protected Surfer for the few days that allowed them to store turns and strike MoNKs. However, Surfer was not affected by these trash talk on the AT and carried on the war. It was at this juncture that TIE entered the war on MoNK's side, stating that we broke a ceasefire agreement. This was a total crap, as TIE was just looking for a war, finding Surfer already partially disabled by earlier strikes, they decided to pick on us. Their hundred members with stored turns began making hits on Surfer. Before TIE entered, the war was even, and it could have gone either side. But when TIE struck, they killed 5 of Surfer's top players in the first strike. And soon after, the outcome of the war was becoming clear. Even though they pulled out 24hrs after the war due to the quick response time by the diplomats, the damage was done. But despite that, we never gave up, wreaking havoc among MoNK's ranks and killing their top player, Riverbend. The war came to a close on Christmas Day, allowing members on both sides to enjoy their holiday.

That's all for this reset, but the main implications were the fall of Elitez's reputation, its merger with AutoMP and its resignation from TSA.

================
March 2000 reset
================

We began this reset strong, with 90+ members. The tag was switched from SURFER back to ElitezTF to get rid of the things that happened last reset as well as to let people remember that Elitez had fought with the powerful multi-bot king Reservoir Dogs in the past regardless of the odds, and would not condone multies themselves. We joined The Family(TF) after leaving TSA, and hence the TF in the tag. Louis was still leader, the Heads were roughly the same, but Jackmin left due to some internal problems. This was indeed supposed to be our best netgaining reset, but it was screwed up by war.

Midway through the reset(yes, its midway again), the alliance La Cosa Nostra decided to cause trouble for Elitez. They were blinded by the motivation to prove that they could not only netgain by fight as well. How wrong they were to mess with Elitez this reset. Everyone was netgaining extremely well, and we did not want any war. So when LCN declared war and got the first strike over some minor landgrab problems, the Elitez members were extremely pissed and they were motivated to give LCN a good ass-kicking. Legion and TIE began policing for Elitez and LCN respectively. Out of goodwill, and being a member of TF, Armageddon did Foreign Aid some Elitez members in need even though we did not ask for it.

As everyone knows, LCN was completely trashed. The entire time, it was kept one on one, even though TIE did try to intervene(yes, the same TIE yet again), Legion gave them a warning, and as the cowards they are, they backed out. With no intervention this time, LCN had 100 of their countries totally killed(yes, LCN started the war with 120, 40 more than Elitez), whereas Elitez had hardly over more than 50 killed. By the end of the reset, there was not even a LCN country alive in the top 2000. Once again, the regular mud-slinging on AT was put into practice by the obvious losers, saying that we were logging to our accounts in the middle of their strikes. Yes this was true, but it was because that they always hit at 9am M'sia/S'pore time, and everyone who could login at that time would. LCN was just trying to cover up their extremely low rate of participation the war chats and inferior coordination to the seasoned Elitez. They even tried to create multi accusations out of nothing, with Zuzaw spending God knows how long drying to gather evidence. The evidence that he found was entirely circumstancial, and could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Elitez had multies. At least 90% if not all of his supposed 'multies' were false. They also whined about the FA that we received from ArM, even though this was minimal, and the superiority of their numbers and the first strike that they got far out-weighed the FA from ArM.

Oh well, with this being the second consecutive war in 2 resets, it really makes netgaining a drag. LCN definitely regretted ever messing with Elitez, and despite the mud-slinging that LCN tried so hard to do, our reputation grew, and until now, few dare to mess with us.

June 2000 reset
===============

The first netgaining reset in 5 months - we started off with 75-80 members, and we are having our best netgaining performance to date. Tags remained the same as last reset. Leadership still similar.

There were a few minor problems this reset, namely, Dragons refusing to acknowledge the NAP that was signed at the beginning of the reset, the top Omega country top-feeding an Elitez top ranker twice, ARR0W threatening war and counter grabbing our fattest countries for a few landgrabs by thin Elitez on top ARR0W members.

We managed to win the reset, despite failing to clinch the total and average networth titles.

August 2000 reset
===============

This reset was one of the bloodiest but eventually we became the household name for every alliance in 1a. We first started the reset with netgaining in mind, but somewhere in the middle Mr Tarpau and another leader from SOL started to exchange lg. Eventually this caused a heated argument between Elitez & SOL.

JackMin were asked to help settle the problem with SOL as he was the person previously establish relationship with SOL. Somehow Al-Man decided to challenged Startiger to FS SOL in AT. Startiger did what Al-Man asked...and so a big war has started. We wanted this war to be a 1 on 1, but as everyone know SOL doesn't like to fight war alone...so they threw in all sorts of clans/alliance at Elitez, which includes alliances like Legion, Cult and many more others. Elitez were outnumbered to like 8:1.

Everyone starts to flame SOL for being such a bully, and eventually other alliances like Rage, Sof, Laf and others came to our help. With the helps of our allies, we manage to turn the tide and destroyed SOL & Allies. This chapter marks Elitez's first step to be one of the new alliance make it to the top alongside with Sof. What makes us so proud of this reset was, everyone was betting heavily on SOL as we were outnumbered badly and also SOL was one of the top dogs in war.

October 2000 reset
===============

After the big Sol war, we became the infamous war heroes in 1a and AT. Almost every alliance in 1a wanted pact from us and we have established a good friendship bond with the 2 top alliance Laf and Sof. This reset we show the world we are not only good in fighting and so does netgaining!

No 1 in Average Networth :
116 members with $35,481,000 NW

January 2001 reset

The Oct 2000 reset was a total domination of Sky Elitez, we ruled the scorelist. This time, we have done the impossible again by not just winning triple 1 again but by surpassing all our old networth title.

Our 2nd triple no 1 in history :

We have 5 countries in top10 :
M U S I C (#7699) 40,142 Lands / 260,749,354 NW (no1)
Marc Elitez (#607) 45,228 Lands / 257,288,535 (no2)
PLAM aCiD (#457) 37,619 Lands / 138,888,888 (no5)
IWontUseMyNickAsCountryName (#6953) 81,818 lands /
137,912,242 NW (no6)
PaTr1ciA iS a G0dDeSs (#7268) 50,268 Lands / 135,888,888 NW (no 7)

No 1 in Total Networth :
119 members with $6,195,797,000 NW
(UCN is 2nd this round with 215 members but only $4,157,641,000 NW!! This is the reason they treated us as their main enemy till now)

No 1 in Average Networth :
119 members with $52,065,000 NW
(Laf is 2nd again with only 89 members and $$45,754,000 NW)

So doesn't this prove Elitez ROCKS in netgaining or what?

In this reset, Elitez was in the alert mode, preparing for the possibility of war. At the beginning, there was a bunch of multies, tagged Newbies; they began to hit Elitez with AB's. A massive amount of Elitez countries got crippled from the attacks. However, we managed to fight the threat by killing most of their countries and leaving the rest of them crippled.

At the same time, there was another multi clan tagged Britney, they were hitting UCN. UCN claimed that those multies belonged to us....the accusations were generally baseless. There was absolutely no reason for us to run a multi clan on UCN, or on any other alliance. Using that as a reason, UCN declared war on Elitez with the first strike. Their unimpressive first strike only succeeded in scratching Elitez with only 1k hits, mostly consisting AB's. Elitez managed to counter their attacks, with a retaliatory strike of 1.5K attacks, killing many UCN members in the process. This war lasted for the rest of the reset, in the end, most of the UCN top rankers were dead while the Elitez top rankers remained alive, we even managed to get 3 countries in the top 100.

SElitez - 141 countries
UCN4EVER - 272 countries

SElitez ---> UCN4EVER 30054
UCN4EVER ---> SElitez 39415

No. of countries alive in the top 100:
SElitez - 3
UCN4EVER - 0

No. of countries alive in the top 500:
SElitez - 14
UCN4EVER - 0

No. of countries alive in the top 1000:
SElitez - 17
UCN4EVER - 0

No. of countries alive in the top 2000:
SElitez - 18
UCN4EVER - 3

June 2001 Reset
===============

In this reset, Elitez began to implement the notorious equal land policy retal system, we STRESS that this equal land policy only applied to any pacts that we signed, NOT neutral alliances. This policy was implemented to prevent top feeds from allies. The conflict began when one of the MD countries committed an intentional landgrab on Elitez, taking away 6k land acres. Following the exact terms signed with MD's FA with the equal land policy inside, we carried out the appropriate retals, in which we would take back at least 80% of the raw land acres lost. MD apparently didn't take that retal very well, and they scolded Louis, who owned the country that got grabbed. Louis's got his retals retaled on, and some MD countries proceeded to topfeed Elitez high rankers. That was apparently the last straw, Elitez declared war on MD, killing many of their top rankers in the first strike. MD did initially put up some resistance, but after sensing that they would not be able to win alone, they decided to call in Omega. Omega agreed, but they knew that IX would be against them if they joined entered the war. One week later, Omega is then officially called in to the war by MD. However, IX was one step ahead of them, sending in a pre-emptive strike. Despite that, Omega decided to ignore the IX threat and hit Elitez. That action placed Omega in a dilemma, of whether to continue the war with Elitez or concentrate on IX. Within a few days, MD called in yet another alliance super power - Rage, for help. Rage did declare war on Elitez and get the first strike, however, they did negligible damage, managing only 900 attacks in their first strike - pathetic considering that had 400 countries. Up to that point, the war was Elitez/IX fighting against MD/Rage/Omega. This lasted for roughly a week, and Omega finally decided it was a better option to impede IX's tremendous influence in this war. IX gave incredible help, they actually managed to overtake the amount of hits MD made in a week, even though MD was in the war roughly 5 days earlier. Eventually, more allies from both sides got involved. With the membership odds against us, we called in TKS and Unknown to deal with the Omega threat. SoF and Ragnarok then declare war on IX, with Clowns declaring war on an Elitez ally FBI, claiming landfarming. That was rubbish, MD called in CWG to prevent the 90 country FBI from getting involved. Soon, RED entered to assist FBI against CWG. NoN then declared war on RED. Prior to that, some Elitez allies entered the war against MD, namely IRONic, TSE and Camelot. This was in response to MD's gangbanging. Up to this point, MD & company still had an advantage of 313 countries. Amidst the massive hit, a few Elitez top rankers are allowed to gain an insane amount of land from Rage and MD. Apparently both alliances had all their top rankers killed, and they were unable to prevent themselves from losing land. MD and Omega has ALL their top rankers knocked out, they had close to zero countries in the top 1000. This was in contrast to Elitez, we had almost all our top 1000 countries alive. This situation went on till the end of the reset.

The amazing thing was, at the end of the reset, Marc and Mr Tarpau managed to get to farm of an incredible amount of land, each of them with roughly 200,000 acres. This breaks the entire Earth 2025 land-fattiness record, and it was also the first time a player could ever get to that high amount of land. Elitez also takes first, second, and third spot: -

1 Marcs Empire (#2205) 200,000 213,088,888
2 New Baby (#1481) 66,490 177,727,061
3 Mr Tarpau (#2148) 202,462 177,727,060

Some war stats (Elitez and MD began with almost even members):

SElitez --> MD - 13008
SElitez --> TheOmega - 1015
SElitez --> RAGE - 182
Total: 14205

MD --> SElitez - 9293
MD --> Camelot - 244
Total: 9537

This proves that Elitez can outhit enemies and netgain amazingly well at the same time.

Also another note for June 2001 reset :

Despite we were outnumbered and warring for 3 weeks, we still manage to capture 3rd spot in total networth with $3,903,575,000 NW and of course setting the biggest land record ever by Mr Tarpau with 202452k lands and Marc followed closely from behind 200,000k lands!!

The Formation of the BIG 6

This reset Startiger and Louis decided to take a break from the leadership, so they asked me to come back and temporarily lead Sky Elitez. But after the huge insult we gave to MD (they were considered one of the best figthing alliance in 1a that time), they decided to gang-up with some of our old enemies, namely UCN, TIE and together with their close allies Omega, Rival and Rage (supposedly our old 'friend') to destroy the Sky Elitez. This was supposed to be a secret among their leaders but somehow one of my old friends manage to get hold of this news and let me know about it.

But because of the good cooperation of these 6 big alliances, they managed to lie to everyone about it and even majority of alliances in 1a didn't believe that they were planning revenge on Sky Elitez. Finally on that fateful morning they decided to launch their attack, with well over 1.3k countries hitting us; Sky Elitez was utterly destroyed in 2 days.

Once again, this created a big havoc over AT. We managed to get a lot of support again with a lot of unknown clans offering their help to strike back. Close friends like SOF couldn't help this time because they were tricked into signing a UNAP with the 6 alliances. Many of our members must have been asking why we didn't call our allies in or start a server war which of course we could have easily done. But after taking a lot of things in consideration we decided not to bring in any allies in this war, because we do not want to owe 30+ clans favors and not to mention organizing a big war together with 30+ clans is not easy as it sounds. We'd rather fight this war alone than dragging all our friends and owing them favors in the future. That would have probably been one big debt we would never able to return.

And thus these 6 allia

The History of the Devil's Advocates

By King@Republic

DA was founded in Feburary of 2000, by a group of iterant Strategy Board posters: Kaz (he counts as a group all by himself), and a bunch of his friends: Corlocka, Dr. Dre (AT name Scappy), and others.

After a massive AT and SR recruitment blitz, a membership of some twenty people was gathered. Very few of those are still around, I'm one of them. Membership slowly rose to around 40 members by the end of the reset. During this reset, a large quanity of farming occured, but that tapered off as we enforced our retal policy.

In the next reset, DA continued to netgain peacefully, without as much farming as the reset before. The addition of another 40 members might have something to do with that. By the end of it, however, DA's first war would bring DA to the AT public's eyes for the first time. I refer, of course, to the war with SWORD.

Calling the slaughter of SWORD a war gives it a dignity it does not deserve. If ever there was a more ripe case of utter mismanagement, lack of activity, and sheer stupidity on the part of anybody in a war, I would like to hear it. Not even RED's loss in the RED-TGA war can compare.

SWORD, which was orginally ranked higher than DA in all 3 categories, was massacred, their leader inclusive, and ended below DA in all three rankings. DA got respect, and we went from there.

Our next reset was an interesting one, as we went to war with LaF over overgrabbing. At the time, I was away on summer vacation, and so I missed all the fun =(. This war truly boosted DA's profile on AT, and our next reset would be extremely successful. Oh yeah, and we lost the war but ruined LaF's gaining set.

Another reset, another war. This time it happend near the end of the 'set, with Camelot over reparations that were not paid. This one I participated in, and died twice. [I'm dangerous when I get mad. =) ]. DA emerged from the war with a slight edge in kills, hit #s, and a large advantage in Avg NW.

Y'know...For a putatively netgaining, peaceful clan, we fight an awful lot of wars. This reset, a lot of clans and alliances were at war with each other. SoF was fighting with Quebec, IX, RAGE, Legacy, S0L, CWG, and eventually DA were all fighting. DA joined the war after many of the other participants had made peace, with RAGE against S0L. Despite having a numerical advantage, DA was ill-prepared for war and got hammered.

Woohoo! For the first time in DA's history, we netgained, and we did well. In a reset where nearly everyone else (Even NMonsters and LaF[!]) went to war, we managed to stay out. The only other major alliances that managed to do so were Titans (new this reset, but one of the best in the game already) and RAGE(!?). RAGE took TNW, Titans placed 2nd in Avg NW and TNW. DA's accomplishments were overshadowed by Titans astronomical reset and all the wars, but it was DA's best set thus far, netgaining wise.

This reset was a sad one internally. Due to some personal disagreements, DA lost some of it's longserving vets, and there is bitterness yet. As well, we had to deal with a multie clan, and the boredom sown by spending 3 weeks hitting a target that can't hit back made things worse. Our netgaining was shot to hell as well, but plans were made for the next 'set to rectify things.

Fun reset, netgained, got in a fight with a clan called IRON. No biggie. Elitez collapses.

The RED History:
A compilation by Shinigami and qz-jul
-#1 thru #10 are written by Shinigami
-#11 thru #15 are written by qz-jul
- Editing throughout by qz-jul

The Beginning (The Beginnings and Reset #1 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

An elite alliance Short Fuse, had been created from Veteran Tournament players by Smart Liberal. Their first reset out, SFuse was so good that they were even accused of being nothing more then multies. The reset ended with SFuse warring with The Great Alliance (TGA), in what would oddly foreshadow the future.

Short Fuse would then undergone a series of mutinies and power shifts. With SL retired, there were a number of people that were unsatisfied with the person left holding the power, and many key members left. However, the dream of creating an elite netgaining alliance remained, and two separate parties went out and formed new alliances, Arete, led by Ripper, and the Real Estate Developers, led by Paulinsk and SpicyBeef.

Birth of Real Estate Developers

While Ripper somehow became inactive due to ICQ problems, Federalist took over the rein temporarily himself and continued recruiting former Short Fuse members in the name of Ripper. Meanwhile, Paulinsk told SpicyBeef that he would join any alliance that was named Real Estate Developers, and they recruited a few Short Fuse members for their alliance.

In the interest of preserving Short Fuse, the two sides quickly got together to negotiate a merger. Since Paulinsk and SpicyBeef were only asking for the alliance's name to stay RED, the merger was passed very quickly, and the new RED still had most of the old Short Fuse core intact.

Pull a Higgs; Pull a Paulinsk; Pull a Ripper...

At the start of the reset, the wind blew smoothly for the RED ship. After the original top average networth clan was caught cheating, RED even got to replace it for a while, for many RED members of the time preferred Commie Indies.

Indies, however, are not a durable strategy, especially in a world populated by all-jetters. Paulinsk himself got PSed by all-jetter Zuraw and a few others but was still able to hold his rank until his temper flared. He went out and LGed several all-jetters that either grabbed or retaliated on him and almost got the entire RED alliance into a war, in which the odds would be about 500 FoG:40 RED. SpicyBeef, unable to stop Paulinsk, detagged him to save RED.

At about the same time, the warhawk Higgs was bored by a peaceful reset that was marred by faltering defenses. He decided to go out on a bang and made his tag lCNxDBD (small "l" instead of capital "I") and PSed several SoFers. Federalist, however, revealed the secret to SoF. He somehow thought that Higgs just wanted tag protection.

Ripper, meanwhile, also could not stand the reset anymore, grabbed lots of land, and dropped his defense for his fellow RED members.

The only remaining hope for the Real Estate Developers for a great reset vanished when Federalist, doing retaliations, hit a HAN member twice. He got 3 bombing runs and one failed attempt the following day, and a few days later received 14 ABs, and RED was unable to get rep, an estimated $600 mil damage for a theo techer/reseller. Now the only top rankers at the moment, Paulinsk, Higgs, and Federalist, were all practically finished.

The Next Step: LCNostra (End of Reset #1 + Reset #2 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

With Paulinsk and Ripper both out of commission, SpicyBeef was the only functional head, and the potential new leaders, asdf, Intrepid, and Federalist, did not have the time to pitch in. Tumi, a RED member, stepped in to help out in Foreign Affairs, and soon the burden of carrying the entire alliance dawned on the two functional heads.

Then, LCNostra offered to take in RED. SpicyBeef and Tumi, overburdened, naturally welcomed the merger. Federalist was more unsure about his stance, but decided he would follow the other RED members, for this, like Tumi, was his first reset in 1A. asdf, however, voiced the sole voice of opposition but said he would follow the others. Thus, the merger was approved, and RED was in time to kill some Clowns with the rest of the gang. kaede, now with better alliance protection, was able to get land fast enough to finish 23rd. As always, however, such major changes in an alliance mean losses of some members, but with the core remaining.

The Next Reset

With the recommendation of SpicyBeef and several other leaders of La Cosa Nostra, Federalist took control of the RED division during the reset. Most of this reset was peaceful until Elitez started to retaliate on retaliations made by NOSTRAs, possibly in an effort to force a NAP. Eager to unify the entire alliance, the heads decided that it was time for the entire alliance to fight against a common enemy. The Real Estate Developers, in the first few days, became the most active in the war until several of them became the first targets of Elitez. Due to the lack of participation in the war, however, LCN lost.

The Sudden Departure

Servant mentioned to Federalist that he had expected that Real Estate Developers would break away in the last days of the reset, and he had prepared us for our future in the politics of 1A. How he did this only he could tell, but RED's rebirth was inevitable. Led by the malcontent asdf, whose ambition was to make RED the greatest alliance in 1A, most of RED followed their new leaders, he and Tbody. SpicyBeef, however, decided to stay in LCN as a head.

This time the new leaders learned from RED's first reset, which was organized in a week or so, and decided to instead join an existing alliance to organize for the reset after. Moral Decay was the clear top choice, but they hinted that they were going to war, which was later testified by an incredible number of dictators and tyrannies and MD's willingness to settle any dispute with war. Instead, RED joined Sons Of Liberty, and asdf and Tbody's goal was to give SOL 2 billion in total networth.

The SOL Days (Reset #3 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

Everything was well, and RED was showing its netgaining prowess in SOL. Most things were going fine, except for a few early suicides, one of which was against Federalist with his then- top commie indy.

Some things, however, just had to happen. At first RED gave SOL plenty of headaches as asdf recruited a bunch of people new to 1A. Rule violations were piling up as people played as though they were playing other non-alliance-based games.

asdf, an all-jetter, then got farmed by someone outside of a known alliance tag, and LaF subsequently farmed the country. SOL leadership, upset, went ahead and did their own retaliations, probably after negotiations w/ LaF failed. SOL killed a country and did massive amount of retals against some top LaF republics that farmed the country that farmed asdf. Out of enthusiasm, two RED started their mini-war w/ LaF, thinking that a war was to commence because a war chat was called, and a slight miscommunication ensued.

Everything becomes much calmer later. Federalist, working on RED's site, decided to tweak RED GT site's DB a bit to make it easier to LG, as SOL's DB at the time showed mostly targets from alliances surely to retaliate. But then the netgaining reset did not last long. With about 3 weeks left in the reset, RAGE jumped SOL, much to the pleasure of the bored SOL netgainers.

That was a war probably no RED from SOL would ever forget. Within 3 days, it was pretty obvious RAGE had been overwhelmed. That was certainly refreshing for the RED players who were more used to getting beaten up, first by TGA in the debut as Short Fuse and then by Elitez as part of LCN. Then, M4D jumped in, but it was obvious they could not help RAGE much. Soon Arrow came in and promptly killed OverAchiever's country, the first in SOL to get killed by Arrow. The Supreme Alliance (TSA) then jumped in to help SOL, and a massive war was started. On one side we have SOL/AoD/ICN/MD v. Arrow/PoW/RAGE/M4D plus some other alliances. For the most part, SOL easily kept its composure throughout the war, and it looked more like a gangbang on Arrow later into the reset.

After this reset, RED was ready for its second debut.

The Second Debut (Resets #4 + #5 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

First resets doesn't have much to say. What happened was that RED was basically able to show off its netgaining muscles at the start with a decent # of pacts. At one point, RED even had #1 average networth but at a later date into the reset than our very first RED reset. We only held it for a week or so though.

However, not everything was rosy. Lack of pacts started to kick in, and RED stockpilers got the top-feeding treatment from, overwhelmingly, two alliances that will not be named here. Aside from that, a few other top players got the suicide treatment (Federalist, again...he just attracts suiciders). When our only potential top-10 finisher, Aqua, got ABed, it was pretty obvious we should try to do something else other than netgaining, namely, war. Opportunity presented itself when Sky Elitez got into a war, and RED joined the war first against Yale2K and then against their ally, ICNxDBD. W/ about a week or fewer days left, RED, twice the average nw, and ICNxDBD, double the members, fought to practically a draw.

The Following Reset

The second reset got into an even more commanding lead. Federalist, this time w/ a much slower bpt-heavy start, had to catch up in rank to provide RED most of its tag protection. RED soon blossomed under most of its Theocracy Techers. RED's netgaining performance was so dominant that ONE FIFTH of its members got into top 100! (At one point, 12 out of 50), in a move that would foreshadow RED greatness many sets down the road. However, just w/ 2 weeks left before the reset we got ourselves into trouble. JJ:23, actually quite an enthusiastic new member (to RED), told TGA, when they were talking to him, that RED would war TGA if TGA attacked RED, which was total BS, as anyone with an IQ over 10 could see. TGA, afraid of the repeat of SoF v. TGA, in which TGA was quite embarrassed, decided to attack RED, and RED was thoroughly unprepared. MD then decided to come to RED's aid, or else RED would probably be totally wiped out. 50 members v. 250 or so (w/ stored turns) was pretty hopeless.

The Problem was complicated when people tried to organize a war chat next day, but that just added to the early kill counts for TGA, and some members were posting some stupid stuff on AT. Also, asdf, our President, was utterly inactive at the point, and he handed the President job to Federalist, but Federalist asked not to have this announced as that could lower morale when RED most needed it. As RED was practically down to 15 to 20 members in 2 days (A very nice FS by TGA), Federalist simply called off kill runs and simply sticked with ABs and GDI. Killing one out of 200 wouldn't put much of a damp into TGA, but ABing 10 instead could have more of an effect when the opponents don't really have much stockpiled. At the end, Federalist, simon, Aqua, and Rowl survived the reset. Federalist and simon ran TTR-tured -tyrannies, and Aqua and Rowl ran republics.

The Reset of the Cult (Reset #6 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

The new reset found RED in sad shape. Moral was low due to the 50 vs 250 fight they had delt with at the hands of TGA the reset before. Activity was also hurt, as the RED leadership decided to move from their usual haunts at Gamers Town over to Ezclan. Despite the change of scenery, the move was one of the worse things RED had ever done, as previously active members were turned off by the move.

Matters were not helped any when one of RED's Division Leaders, Soldier of Doom posted a number of hits on him by IX that he knew were valid retals. Most of the retals were picked up by one of RED's top countries, ran by long time Earth Veteran and Omega and LCN Co-Founder Castejon. The end result was IX hitting Caste's country badly in an effort to overcome the improper retals, and costing him over half his land, and causing him to retire from Earth. SoD was detaged, kicked, and briefly tried to suicide on IX before they killed him off.

Then President Federalist was having serious time problems at the moment, which has hightened when his IA Master Taka ended up resigning. To make maters worse, Mehul made the boneheaded decision to delete countries that were played by people in both 1A and 1B. Among the top REDers counght up in this deletion were Aqua, Fro, and Federalist himself, who had RED's top ranked country at the time.

Federalist ended up stepping down in favor of one of his VP's, Dundundun Brian. Shortly thereafter, the decision was made to move the alliance back home to Gamers Town, where it remains to this day. With a number of Leaders leaving to spend some time else where, such as Aqua, Downsay, and Eric, the need for new leaders became apparent. Rowl stepped up and took over as Head of Internal Affairs, and Remex took over as RED's Recruiter and Welcomer.

Throughout the move back, RED had been having a problem with hits by members of Legacy. When talks broke down, RED decided to take maters in there own hands. In a war chat soon after, members of RED began kill runs on the offending members, but when it came time to hit the third target, it was found to be dead already. That same night, IX had declared on Legacy, setting off one of the largest wars in recent memory.

RED was soon drawn into a portion of that war when one of its defensive allies, The League, asked RED to come in and help them against The Cult. This touched off a war that saw RED do very well in the first part, but slowly loose ground as Cult's larger membership and higher net drove them under. One week after Cult and League signed a ceasefire so did RED and Cult. LCN at the time was waring with TGA. Seeking to both help relations and get some revenge on TGA, a large portion of RED taged up in LCN to aid them in fighting. TGA saw this as a continuation of the earlier war, and quickly turned to killing REDers that had retaged, starting with DIVINE Retribution ADL Shinigami, who had picked off two TGA kills the first night.

With the end of the reset nearing, it was time for elections again. DDDB ran for, and won, re-election as president. Rowl and Remex both ran for VP and also won. As ADL of RED's top division that set (DIVINE), Shinigami, was chosen to take over as Head of Internal Affairs, a job he dived into with gusto, as RED prepared itself for the future.

A Gala Day for RED (Reset #7 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

The new reset began with things on a high note for RED, as activity soared and the members prepared to netgain. However, trouble, as always, was just around the corner. A multi runner named Alvar decided to run Tank multies on all of RED, badly hurting its top players and sending RED down to a miserable 67th ANW ranking only two weeks into the reset. His reason for doing so, as it came out, was because of then President DDDB's activity among a tourney group called Safari, which had messed up a number of peoples games. [Alvar, btw, wasn't one of the ones who got messed up by the group]

Between this, and real life time problems, DDDB decided to step down as President, leaving RED founder asdf in charge. However, asdf himself had serious problems from an injury at a ski trip, and a need to take a break from the game caused him to go inactive. One of RED's VP's, Rowl, was already gone due to Computer problems, leaving the remaining VP, Remex, technically in charge. Here DDDB stepped back in long enough to set up a 3 man council: Long time strat master, and all around top player Dr Cichlid, RED's last VP, Remex, and RED's Head of Internal Affairs, Shinigami. Remex, not wanting the responsibility and wanting a break from leadership, stepped down to take over as ADL of DIVINE Retribution, leaving Dr Cichlid and Shinigami behind as Co-Leaders.

The return of former RED leaders Downsay and Aqua, gave RED's some much-needed FA's. Long time Earth Vet Dabooz took over the long vacated Recruiting spot left be Remex, and life looked good. Then, as usual, trouble struck with out warning.

Dabooz, then a head in RED, had been given DDDB's country to play after his was hit hardest by the multies. He decided to make a number of illegal hits on TIE's top ten ranker, Manipulated Maniac, then proceed to do the FA work for the very same hits. In addition to the reps due, he agreed to 3 hits on RED's own top ten ranker, Dr Cichlid. When TIE's FA, Joe! went to Shinigami for him to authorize the hits Dabooz had worked out, he refused, believing that a person doing the hits is the last person that should do the FA work, and also because he did not want to see Dr Cichlid hit. This would cause both a separation between Dabooz and the other RED heads and a two-sided dislike between Joe! and Shinigami.

The plot would continue to thicken, as Dr Cichlid, upset over MM's stance on the retals due, decides to hit him once, knowing full well that he would be retaled. However, once again Dabooz strikes, GSing the fish badly in an effort to diminish the returns so MM's retal would take very little land back. The enrages both TIE heads and RED heads, and leads to Dr Cichlid and Downsay getting upset at Dabooz, and temporarily removing him from GT until he cooled down. However, Dabooz, in a sudden fit of anger, suicides on RED, knocking Dr Cichlid from his top ten spot (he would still finish 38th, 2nd highest in RED). Then, just to top things off, he has Nick, a GT site Admin, delete RED's GT site, tossing out resets of hard work. This was the end of Dabooz's membership in RED.

Still, RED continued to play its heart out, rising above all the problems of the reset. The 67th ANW that RED had after the multi hits rose to a lofty 3rd in ANW, behind two now defunct alliances, SveaRike and Titans. RED had 6 top 100 rankers, starting with BRAINLESS's 29th ranked brainwashed, Dr Cichlid's 38th ranked giantREDfishbowl, Teesang's 74th ranked Vote Teesang for RED President, qwert's 85th ranked Blood is REDder than water, Jello's 89th ranked JELLO, and Pyro's 91st ranked Rusty Elephants of Doom.

In the elections that set, Head FA Downsay and Co-Leader/IA Shinigami squared off for the job of President. In a tight election, Shinigami pulled out a victory and stepped up as the full time one and only head of RED. Deciding to get things rolling for the next reset, Shinigami decided to skip having elections for VP and simply took the two people he thought most capable of doing the job, Downsay and Aqua, and made them his VP's. As the reset closed, things for RED had never looked better.

Note: A number of RED leaders joined this set, notably Liono and Jester and Babykaruk

Where are the Clowns? (Reset #8 ~ as determined by qzjul through information from Shinigami)

The next set would begin quietly for RED. They put in a solid netgaining performance, remaining in the top 10 in ANW and top 15 in TNW all reset. There were a few typical shakeups in the internal set up and leadership, but nothing out of the ordinary for a typical 1A alliance. The reset would close, however, with RED going back into war

As Red DP Elitez fought MD, sides began to form as allies of the two giants began to feel blood lust. Omega, a long time ally of MD, sat awaiting the order to strike, with turns stored up. IX, believing Omega was about to declare on Elitez, decides to preemptively strike Omega. Omega, instead of turning and facing IX, decides to go ahead and hit Elitez.

Knowing that this can only mean that Omega has called in one of there allies to hit IX, two of Elitez's remaining DP's, RED and FBI, decided to jump into the fray, in hopes of forcing Omega off there target. FBI had just come back to the 1A world, and was Co-Led by FBI founder ZEN and long time FBI head and former RED WAR minister 007. Shinigami, tending to enjoy war work himself, had simply run the few kill runs RED had has that set, and had never picked a War minister (Though he would shortly, giving the job to long time REDer and former VP Rowl). FBI, on the other hand, was newly out, and untested in war. Between this, and a wish to make the most out of the FS while giving Omega two targets, in addition to IX and Elitez, led 007 and Shinigami to agreeing to joint organize and strike. The time was set, and both alliances went to RED alert.

The next afternoon at 4PM or so, Shinigami got on to do some preliminary research for the war chat, set at 8 the following night. However, upon getting on ICQ, he found 007 awaiting him with important news. Someone had t

The Founding of La Famiglia and Early History

LaF was formed by El Paco and Daniel, two revolutionary strategists and renowned players. First starting as a small alliance in game B, LaF was established as a tight, elite group of players intent on ruling the top 25 spots in the game.

LaF had two major groups that comprised, one was known as "the Dons" the other was "SHIELD", which formed into the core of what LaF became. Part of their early dominance was that they were one of the only alliances (along with RoCK) that used specialized strategies (aka casher, techer, indy, etc.) while most ppl at the time played some rainbow strat. Another factor was due the fact that La Famiglia was comprised of primarily Swedish people (RoCK (Rise of Chinese Kingdoms was mainly Chinese, and HAN (Huge Alliance of Nations) was made up of Koreans). Another factor of this is that LaF was one of the few that had an alliance website, hosted by LaF co-founder Daniel on everywhere.se

-

The Emergence of La Famiglia in 1A (Summer 1998 Reset aka Reset 1 of La Famiglia)

LaF first came to be a real power when, known as the Dons, they solidly defeated RoCK in the summer of 1998, ending with a virtual stranglehold on the top positions.

-

November 1998 Reset

LaF came under the leadership of Gramberto, who had come to the alliance after winning game B. Due to his tyrannical diplomacy and aggressive policies, LaF quickly became despised by many alliances, eventually leading to the Coalition vs. LaF war and ending in the sound defeat of LaF.

-

February 1999 Reset

Viper and El Paco started off as the leaders of La Famiglia. Gramberto resigned from political pressure from the previous reset (made a lot of enemies during the previous reset), and shortly afterwards after disputes and a nasty email between Gramberto and El Paco, Gramberto was booted from LaF. Gramberto bitterly left with a few LaF members and joined EoS (Enforcers of Scarface). Shortly after this happened, El Paco resigned from real life constraints, leaving Viper as the de facto leader with the aid of Patience. Another problem LaF ran into was the alliance website, which was falling behind from the more advanced website of our archrival RoCK. Viper somehow got us on RoCK's secondary server (earth.rockcorps.com) which was basically like their main server (http://www.rockfamily.com) but with less features (this evolved into Gamerstown as we know today).

Needless to say, this website was one the reason for RoCK's virtual dominance of 1A during this time due to the site's database. Although RoCK said bb/brian took the admin thing seriously, we always wondered why the site crashed so conveniently when RoCK and LaF were at war, but anyways that might just be LaF propaganda to silly members like me at the time (although the site did crash when we warred RoCK I remember) :P This was still before Mehul Patel implemented tags in the game (yes Mehul did things back then), so we had to put the alliance numbers of member and pacted alliance manually from country lists onto the database.

Viper was attempting to rebuild the public perception of LaF which was a disaster from the previous reset under Gramberto. LaF aided its ally TIE in their war against HAN, and later assisted MD in fighting RoCK. While fighting RoCK, LaF was targetted by the RoCK Family, specifically by TGA and Omega, who inflicted substantial damage to LaF. This was a world war reset, with the only major alliance not in war SG (Solarian Guard) occupying a lot of the top 100 spots, along with HAN. LaF had some controversies regarding to them this reset, one was the delay of our assistant to our ally MD, the second was the Gaurdian program, which was a program which an LaF all-jetter would go and grab an alliance and our netgainers would farm him off (which kinda pissed ppl off heh).

-

May 1999 Reset

This is probably one of LaF's best resets ever, and we were ranked #1 by many at this time. It wasn't so peachy in the beginning however due to the less than dominant showings the previous resets and what was viewed as unstable leadership. The unstable leadership part was because Viper and Patience, our leaders from the past reset left for TIE. Ronnie and Lassemaja took over this reset as the main leaders, however and shaped an extremely successful reset.

Mehul Patel incorporated a major change this reset with the use of alliance tags. We started off strong, with many people in the top 100. We had a landgrab dispute with Ragnarok, which ended up with us FSing Ragnarok, with them surrendering the next day. We suffered a loss of only one country, and our netgaining reset was intact, so our hopes were still high. Ronnie tooled our pacts (plus no one wanted to be our FDP because we kinda were bad allies from last reset), into what is now known as the "isolationist" approach, where we just a bunch of NAPs and no DPs.

Later on RAGE and Ragnarok started a war which ingnited into World War III, eventually bringing in the rest of earth into another RoCK coaltion vs the anti-coalition war, with LaF sitting out this time (as opposed to being the leader of the anti-coalition side in previous resets). The only problems LaF faced was multi suiciders (which was dealt with quickly, it took only 90-120 attacks to kill ppl with 25C/GS as opposed to 5C/GS today), but otherwise it was a netgaining reset, which ended up with LaF taking 8 of top 10 (record broken more recently by LaF in summer 2002 with 9), 53 of top 100 (still a record), and the TNW/ANW titles. The only threat to our spots was China, which was later found out to be run by bb and top RoCKers, who at the end of the reset tagged up RoCK.

-

July 1999 Reset

This was another dominating reset for LaF although it ended on a sour note. We had 120 members, which marked us as one of the largest alliances in the game at the time (alliances were smaller that time in general). Our leader was still Ronnie, with the aid of a few others such as Blubb, Trotskiy, Lassemaja, Papafunk, Oden, Haldor, ACCI, etc. which was good, because we actually kept the same leader for two resets in a row for once :P I remembered the old joke that some old earth vet sat on AT (forgot who it was exactly) said LaF changed its Don more often than he changed underwear.

Anyways, LaF followed basically the same isolationist approach as the previous reset which worked well for us. We were dominating the top spots and everything was okay at first. We even had a "secret" (didn't know how secret it was supposed to be heh) LDP with RoCK. There were a few problems that surfaced, the first was the RoCK training tag ETU (Earth Training University) which was protected by RoCK. The problem was RoCK never notified us that they were protected by RoCK and many LaFfers grabbed ETU, which resulted in huge retals by RoCK from puny grabs by us. This peeved many LaFfers off, but Ronnie and Papafunk reminded that "RoCK was jealous of our netgaining dominance and wanted us to war them to ruin it by making us war them", and thus we netgained on.

The second major problem of the reset (and actually it was one of the major turning points of earth) was a new "FDP" of RoCK, called Tiger. Omega, being the "we must eradicate all cheaters" they are, started investigating Tiger and RoCK and there was a damning evidence that Tiger was a bot run by members of RoCK leadership. Omega posted this board, and a few days later Tiger FSed Omega. With all of this, LaF and RoCK cancelled their LDP and LaF assisted Omega, among many other alliances, helped eradicate Tiger.

Omega was outraged by this of course, and many of its members wanted to declare war on RoCK directly, but they were split on whether to wait for more evidence or attack now. This caused an internal conflict with many leaving under a Omega Division Leader (known as Helmet) and forming a new alliance called SoF. Eventually Omega went and declared war on RoCK, and another round of anti-coalition vs. RoCKfamily coalition ensued. We stayed out again because we followed our isolationist approach and didn't sign any FDPs. We had a problem of multies being run and killing and ABing many of our top rankers (later also tied to RoCK), but because of the rest of 1A being in a state of war, we eventually won TNW/ANW and took 48 of top 100 spots (still the second best record, behind the reset before this), although our rank 1 (Corleone) was later found out to be abusing a bug.

Near the end of one of the craziest reset until the recent TIL vs anti-TIL reset last reset, something (a former member of RoCK) exposed RoCK's cheating publically (of the multi hits on LaF and Omega), which eventually led to the collapse of RoCK as we know it after this reset. We were thought by many to take the throne as the sole top alliance from RoCK after this reset, except there was one problem, a few LaF members ran multies on Gramberto's "top 5" MD country, causing Gramberto to be infuriated and promising a three reset "death sentence" of bot running on LaF.

Along with the downfall of Omega (who were the other top tier alliance), it marked the downfall of the top alliances of the game at this time (especially the dominant RoCK and LaF), paving the way for MD's dominance for the next few resets (actually I rememeber talking to Samoan that reset about how MD got #2 TNW after us in this reset (with RoCK at #3) which was the first time that RoCK didn't take #1 or #2 in TNW (it was traditionally LaF and RoCK's domain).

-

August 2 Week Test Reset

This was the reset when Oil and Theocracy was introduced and it wasn't a real reset. But I just posted it here because Mehul was actually doing something in earth at the time =) Not all of LaF played, and some of us played for fun (being a 2 week reset, most of us went commie indies because it was a short reset), and we had a fun little war with an alliance called Dragon.

-

October 1999 Reset

Ronnie "retired" (later found to be in TIE with ACCI, with them two taking #1 and #2 ranks this reset under the TIE tag). Many leaders and members left because of Gramberto's 3-reset bot sentence, and we were only 90 members. As promised, Gramberto ABed the crapola out of most of our countries, and it was devastating. We weren't doing so well this reset because of this =( There was also the infamous P&Q hacking incident where you can decode the pws of ppl's logins with a piece of code, and many of our countries were hacked and deleted from it. Many LaFfers had to restart as many as 6 times.

A new alliance called Aramada (which was named among the top because it was formed of a merger of two decent alliances at the time FBI and BoA) with their top 100 countries (while we had none from our problems earlier) started to grab us like crazy. We were pretty ticked already considering what our reset was turning out to be, and declared war on Armada. We utterly destroyed them, which led them to disband later on this reset. We nearly placed a few countries in top 100 but we ended up with none in the end.

-

January 2000 Reset

Most of LaF's top netgainers fled this reset (hao2, Ichitaka, among others) to an new alliance Cryptic Monks (which was led by ACCI and Chump and Marty) due to this being reset 2 of 3 of Gramberto's sentence. Papafunk stepped down as leader (again the rotating leadership ;P) with Blubb and Town Drunk taking place as Co-Dons.

This reset was the FoG reset, where old RoCKfamily alliances (and the new incarnation of RoCK, Legion) forming one fatty FoG tag. Anyways, because most of us knew we were going to smacked by bots, we played a low CS indy start, and after gramberto ABed us, we proceeded to rebuild CS and did our switch (hehe hurray for LaF strategists). We weren't hurt as bad as last reset because of this, and was looking at another impressive netgaining reset. Due to real life constraints however, Blubb and TD stepped down with Haldor eventually taking their place.

We had a dispute with TGA who were retaling off the news (and news was constantly broken at the time) causing TGA to retal one of our retals. We got into a dispute with TGA because of this, with one of our members retalling for a TGA hit that wasn't shown in the news and promptly 2:1ed for it (TGA practiced a 2:1 policy at the time on everyone). We showed TGA's FR Mello the html news saved by our member indicating the hit on him, but Mello said to us "If it doesn't show up in the ingame news, it doesn't exist".

Well we weren't the only alliance that were offended by TGA's way of retalling, and LaF and RAGE declared war on TGA. Well, we withdrew after a week of war from to ceasefire, which was basically from DigTek from TGA telling us "Gramberto is only 1 person, think of what 60 people can do". Well anyways, we left the war leaving RAGE and TGA fighting, and were labeled as wussies and treehuggers by the 1A community, which kinda stuck for a while heh. TGA was losing this war however, and they eventualy dragged in all of FoG. This led MD into kicking all of their asses (heheh go MD :P) and being the de-facto #1 alliance of the game at this time.

This was a world-war reset again, and the only major alliances that weren't warring in the end was Avengers and us, and despite the bots running on us, we dominated most of the top 10 and top 100 (37 spots) and was #2 in ANW behind the Protest tag of Avengers who dropped all put 11 of their members because of Mehul's deletion of Rauch. A "new member" named Samson from the Lynbrook division won this reset, but he was later found out to be Ronnie.

-

March 2000 Reset

Papafunk was our symbolic leader in a way this reset, but the brunt of the work was done by Duque (who emerged as one of our main leaders last reset) and Haldor. We signed a FDP with Avengers (our first FDP in a long while) this reset. Avengers eventually became one of our closest friends for a long time. This was reset 3 of 3 of Gramberto's sentence, except with the help of many alliances we were hiding in many alliances (one division per alliance).

Anyways, this was one of the funnest war resets ever for LaF, and old SoF and Avengers can testify to this ;P What basically happened was SoF and Avengers were embroiled in war, and being our FDPs and outnumbered, we jumped in to help them). We had joined warchats with Avengers (and those were hella fun *waves hi to old avengers* :P) SoF called in Armageddon to hit LaF and RAGE to hit Avengers, but despite this it was a very close war, although SoF won it in the end.

-

June 2000 Reset

Duque became our Don (with help of Haldor leading also) and without Gramberto's bots (yay!) and at a good size of 120 (most of our old members came back because of the end of the bot sentence). It was a traditional netgaining reset for LaF and relatively quiet (i think we fought a minor war with Syndicate (?)) and also SOL was starting to farm us for no reason. When we retaled, they retaled on retaled and things got ugly =( We eventually solved this problem between our leaders and continued to netgain.

This reset had another major war stemming from SOL getting into a major conflict vs. RAGE and ARROW which resulted in a TSA vs TF showdown (reminiscent of RoCKfamily, FoG, and TIL wars). While everyone was at war, we dominated top 100 with people not at war, primarily SoF (yes SoF netgained back then lol) and SL. We got #2 in ANW (losing to SL) and #1 in TNW (barely edging out SoF) and got the majority of the top 100 spots (35+ again) and a few top 10ers.

-

August 2000 Reset

Well, Duque was our Don again, and being a warmonger he said "this will be our war reset". Well one of my rl friends from my hs (named Lynbrook HS hence Lynbrook division hehe) Jin, farmed some DA country because he was quitting, let Physco (another rl friend from Lynbrook) farm him, and then told other Lynbrook members to GS Physco in DR so DA couldn't get their land back. Well Beltzshumeltz of DA was talking to our FR Neal (also from my HS hehe) about this situation, and Neal kinda blew him off and told him to contact Duque (since he was the Don).

This didn't go so well with DA and they declared war and FSed us. DA called in Pirates to assist them after a few days of warring us. We killed 100+ of their 125 members and eventually reached a ceasefire. We had 3 FDPs (Avengers, Elitez, and SoF) this reset and with not much of a netgaining reset left (although we still had some top ranking countries), and with Elitez FSing SOL and SOL calling in every single one of their allies (like 6-7 of them), we joined SoF into assisting Elitez on SOL. SoF/LaF combined warchats (damn those were fun *hugs old-timer SoFties* killed off SOL, and LaF finished finished the reset with one top 10er (hao2) and 6 top 100s (blubb, hanlong, joe among them). Well, we climbed back to one of the powerhouses of the game after this reset, which we haven't enjoyed for a long time =)

-

October 2000 Reset

Duque led us again (last reset for him though), and it was more of less a netgaining reset. We had a minor setback in a small war with FBI, but standing at only 30-40 members, we annihilated them quickly and continued to netgain. There wasn't much problems afterwards and we rolled onto a second place tnw and anw showing (behind Elitez, who clinched #1 in both categories). However, we placed a decent amount (~30) in top 100 and it was a relatively good reset, a typical LaF netgaining reset.

-

January 2001 Reset

Duque left us to IX =( (he promised a short break and he'll be back, but that wanker never did), and left ACCI to become the Don of LaF. To make up the holes in head positions, h4x0r and hanlong became heads in LaF by the end of this reset, both being the key shapers of the next dominant LaF reset (in sept 2001). Well other than a little skirmish on this crap clan called HARDCORE, it was peaceful for us and we placed another decent netgaining showing at #3 in TNW (we were only 89 members, so we were behind 215 member UCN and 119 member Elitez) and #2 in ANW (behind Elitez). This was a quiet treehugging reset for us basically =)

-

March 2001 Reset

Blubb was placed as our Don again this reset, but he didn't do that much, so the other heads (namely h4x0r and me) took the brunt of the work. It was a reset long warring reset for us, with us "controversially" FSing SOL with our FDP Genesis (carried from Avengers who merged with SL to form Genesis). Well reasons are still disclosed (because Norcal is still bitter about this hehehe ;P) Well all I can say, is that we got to join warchat again with our good buddies in Avengers (since they merged to form Genesis). That aspect was fun, but after SOL called in Arrow on Genesis and TGA on us it obviously tipped the scales towards SOL, and we lost the war eventually but put up a decent showing.

This was the "Titans" reset, which they dominated the rankings, and being in a reset long war with SOL (and yes, SOL are good fighters) they kept us from any top spots (although we kept them from any, but not like they cared, since SOL doesn't partcularly care about those things hehe). We ended up with one top 100, a tagjumper from Avalon (fishy) which TGA promptly killed, even though we signed a ceasefire with them.

-

June 2001 Reset

The Super Genius aka Oafijev took over as Don this reset, with Heads Mischief, me, and h4x0r helping him out. It was a netgaining reset again for us (most of us were tired from the long and brutal reset long war with SOL the previous reset). We won TNW and placed #2 in ANW (behind a "mysterious" alliance named CoA). In the end though, UCN was pissed at us however, because a couple of TKS tagged up to LaF in the last minute, stealing UCN's "TNW win". Anyways we took the majority of the top 100 (30+ again) and achieved what is becoming a classic LaF tradition =)

-

September 2001 Reset

I became more active again this reset as a head and with h4x0r as our Don we led LaF to a very impressive netgaining showing. This was the big 6 gangbang reset, and with Elitez as our main ANW/TNW competition for the past few resets, we had the TNW/ANW crown pretty easily, with Chump winning 1A and us dominating 6 of top 10, and 41 out of top 100 spots. I was trying to break our old top 100 record, but the DJustice top 100 people I recruited earlier *waves to Son Goku* and SOLers who came with Chump went back to their alliances by the end of the reset. Although we dominated ANW/TNW and the rankings, people barely put us as a top 5 alliance due to us having a mediocre showing in our last war (the SOL one) and having netgained for the past two resets, we were too "pansy" to do anything =)

-

November 2001 Reset

Welps, this was LaF's worst reset. This was due to me and h4x0r being inactive, and as the two major figureheads of LaF, that wasn't good news. With h4x0r virtually ignoring what is su

Chapter: 1, ORIGINS OF THE CLAN

President:
Vice President:

The Original Federation:
The Federation Alliance was founded by a group of earth players with Orion as the first leader. As with a lot of clans it had its peak with over 50 members and real clan wars after which it was a downward slide for the clan. After approximately 2-3 rounds the clan slowly and steadily was loosing members looking for new opportunities. This was fueled even more with a half excepted clan merger in which approximately 50% of the members went to a new clan being formed know as Dark Forces Alliance.

DFA however was not so great. The main attraction was the member signatures than playing Earth. After only one round DFA collapsed with not even a handful of members returning. In its 4th round The Federation was in trouble now with only about 10 members and barely able to maintain its site. A massive recruitment effort was undertaken but with little success. The Federation was to soon collapse.

Power Struggle:
During the recruitment effort a player by the name of Marx applied and was accepted. This new member brought new ideas in the help turning the clan around. He was promoted quite quickly and he tried getting things going with radical ideas. Then there was a security breach. Someone had attempted to hack into the site. As an emergency precaution all members except for the leader were downgraded to level 2. Marx saw that his plans might not work so he had the hacker (who was a friend of his) to try and break in again this time with success.

Marx took the leadership and using the old leader's access he posted a message to make it seem as if he was given the leadership fair and square. This is when ICQ comes in as the word spread of Marx's treachery some members left (mostly the oldest ones), some remained and new ones were recruited. Attempts were made on retaking the site with little success. Attempted negotiations broke down and Marx had control with some members who remained as spies leaving. Marx now had a Star Trek clan with him running it, but the true clan did not die.

The Neo Federation:
Some members called in a few friends and managed to establish a new clan with a new site and so The Neo Federation was born. Messages were sent out to other old members and some who realized that Marx was a fraud. With Marx ignored for the time being the new goal now was to re-create what was lost with new members and new leadership except this time it would be better.

Chapter: 2, DAWN OF THE NEW LEGEND

President:
Vice President:

Neo Federation's First Round:
This was a time when everything came together. A system of government was established, people were elected and heavy recruitment was being carried out. This was a time of peace and building up the clan. The Neo Federation was starting to flourish. With several leaders and a constant flow of leaders there seemed to be nothing to could stop this new clan. But Marx was still out there in the old Federation site gathering up unsuspecting members. The Neo Federation did make some strikes but the priority was to make the new clan work.

Round 2 In Pursuit of Marx:
During this round the membership count rose sharply. Additional squads were established new positions were opened and the clan was now in full swing. However Marx was still around finding some new members trying to keep his prize alive. The Neo Federation was now powerful enough to crush Marx. Attacks were carried out on any country under the Federation tag. The Federation countries did not give heed right away though and unfortunately were still unaware of the "real" Marx. The Neo Federation started messaging the Federation countries about the events that had transpired earlier but were understandably not convinced straight away.

After constant attacks, almost all the Federation countries that had survived fled the tag, but were pursued. In the end Marx had enough and gave in, fleeing the site leaving not traces. Some of the Federation members cam eover to Neo Federation and were accepted. Most of the other members soon followed with them now aware of the truth and established their own squad known as the Dark Federation.

The Neo Federation was victorious, while gaining great members who served the clan well.

Chapter: 3, THE CHARGE TO THE TOP

President:
Vice President:

Neo Federation's Third Round
It was now the Neo Federation's third round and second full round. It was now in a growth spurt with new members constantly joining and membership records constantly being broken and broken again. The government was fully operational with refinements being constantly made. Then about mid-way into this round a fellow clan called Pinoy requested help in a war in which The Neo Federation confronted Rage and Ragnorak. IT was full blown war with Neo Federation drastically outnumbered. But the Neo Federation kept pressing while being slowly weakened. In the end Pinoy was nearly destroyed and Neo Federation reach a cease-fire with its enemies. For one of its first major wars it performed well taking on three clans and not giving in. However it did not escape with out a beating.

Spirits were not scared but instead grew as much experience and knowledge was gained. New members continued to come in by the end of the round the Neo Federation was a top ten clan in membership and maintained its position for a while before slightly slipping towards the very end of the round. It was then that a sister clan was founded in the newly established Limited Game in which many members joined straight up. Now the round was at end with a lot of experiences, ups and downs the Neo Federation was set to go higher.

Note from the writer:
I would only ask one thing to ask future members and that is to maintain this document with a new addition at least once every round.

Chapter: 4, NEORED

President: Morgon
Vice President: Duffman

Neo Federation's Fourth Round
It was now the Neo Federation's fourth round and third full round. Neofed retained its position as a top ten clan at the beginning of the set, but once again, there was dissension within the group. Morgon had been voted president once again, with Duffman as his VP. New squad leaders were picked, but one choice created a lot of tension. Some members, lead by three of Neofed?s senators (Soul Assassain, Droidekka, and Sauron) had been paired together because they ?could work together better than with other group.? The problem was that the majority of the dissidents in Neofed were in that one squad. To break up what would have been seen by anyone as a problem, Morgon picked his Director of Intelligence, Darodine, to take command of Omega Squadron. This nearly caused a riot (it was mostly just the three above named dissidents)! To ?make the peace? Darodine chose Droidekka to be his assistant, whom dutifully followed orders and acted nobly.

Finally, all seemed quiet on the western front, when Cave of RED came on the scene. Cave was the ambassador from RED to Neofed, and one of their top FA?s. He and Morgon talked a while, and an offer came up, Neofed could join RED for a reset or two and learn to net-gain, but they would have to become an outpost of RED. After a lot of lively debate both for and against it, many members signed an agreement to reform Neofed NO MATTER WHAT and the voting commenced. The vote was far from unanimous, but the majority agreed to join with RED for that reset. Passwords were gained, and the majority of members joined RED as NeoRED. A number of the members (and all the dissidents, including Droidekka) left, creating the Spectral Wolves. Morgon was gracious enough to allow the Wolves to stay and use the Neofed site until they got up on their feet, but his trust was violated when Sauron tried to hack in the site and take control! Morgon booted him, and put a restriction on his ISP, watching to see if he could access the site through another?s password. Meanwhile, the hierarchy was being set up in NeoRED for the rest of the set. Morgon was in command, but under DFL Shinigami, an altogether good guy who ran a solid fed. Other note-worthy members of RED were SmartLiberal, Qz-jul, Asdf, and Pyromaniac. In general, they tried to make NeoREDder?s feel at home, but acted a lot like parents, watching us and berating us about mistakes.

Soon, war erupted against Ragnarok, after their president, Ruth, ?declared war? on RED/NeoRED. RED/NeoRED quickly FS?d Rag, and took out their top ten, and quickly eliminating all their top 1000 members. Soon, friends of Rag started to make hits, and ICN declared war on RED/NeoRED too. RED/NeoRED then CS?d ICN, causing massive damage, and making ICN?s FS look like a vacation in Hawaii. Suddenly Paradigm attacked, quite by surprise! It was over an accusation of RED spying on Paradigm, but the situation was quickly defused, with the resignation of Qz-jul, the guilty party. RED had not sanctioned spying, and was vehemently against it. Soon, the reset was at an end, and NeoRED decided to leave RED, since a number of promises hadn?t been fulfilled. NeoRED left with a new ally, and a massive library of strats to keep its members happy for many resets to come. With the dissidents gone, and the strats that Neofed desperately needed in hand, the future never looks brighter for Neofed.

Chapter: 5, A ROAD TO RECOVERY

President: Morgon & Darodine
Vice President: Darodine & Windmach

Picking up the Scraps:
It was now the fifth round and The Neofederation broke away from RED out on its own again not as satisfied as it hoped to be. Unfortunately a good number of great members chose to remain behind with RED something that caused unnecessary problems with regards to membership and activity. A lot of reforms were made from experiences gained from RED and to prevent new potential problems to help ensure an easier climb back to where NeoFed was. There was also a visit by Orion the founder of original Federation and her remained for most of the round. But what can ahead was the last thing that was needed.

The Spectral Wolves:
This was a clan formed from anti-merger members due to the merger with RED. In the new round however relations with the former NeoFeder?s turned to the worst with hostility on both sides constantly blaming each other. Negotiations broke down with Spectral Wolves and war erupted. NeoFed although weakened by post-merger, was more powerful then Spectral Wolves and defeated them. Some members did return before and after the war, as for the rest nothing was herd up to the end of the round.

Dominoes of Problems:
With the war on Spectral Wolves over, concentration was shifted back to getting the clan up to speed and in full swing. New members started coming in it looked as if the clan was back in action but misunderstandings with Unknowns on the basis of retals caused several of NeoFed?s members to be killed and little retalling done to prevent an obviously hopeless war. An uneasy truce was reached but other clans like Reservoir Dogs had a sudden grudge against NeoFed. More members were killed, but through constant diplomatic efforts and NeoFed again minimal retals to prevent hostility with these clans in the future.

Unfortunately getting picked on was not the only problem. A sudden loose of activity from a large number of members momentarily paralysed the clan with recruitment efforts continuing to try and find more dedicated members.

With the end of the round seeing the most competition for President ever, a lot lessons from potential and unofficial wars add to that reforms on member training it wasn?t a total glorious round as many members strived for, but the lessons from the past would strength the future.

Chapter: 6, SEARCHING FOR RECOGNITION

President: Windmach/StSwf
Vice President: StSwf

The Neofederation has entered its sixth reset. Hoping to learn from the mistakes of the previous, we did as much as possible to improve the clan.

Starting Over:
Entering the reset and coming close to dropping under 35 members, the reset was not looked upon favourably by many. With summer approaching many knew that their vacations and summer jobs may force them to wuit Earth 2025 for at least a month. The only pact we had with a major alliance at the time was a Limited Defense Pact with The Infernal Council of Nations. Knowing that we were at war with them under the NeoRED tag, we realized that we would be forced to give up our alliance with RED. This proved to be a smart choice as the relations between the our two clans fell apart.

The Recruiting Drive:
The leaders of the clan watched as the membership count slowly diminished. We knew that a member drive was the only solution, but learnging from the previous reset's mistakes we knew not to simply recruit members and leave them alone. We decided that the only way to get and keep new members would be to implement a new system. We split up different squads which would represent different timezones. In addition to this we added a new "buddy system", in which if a member appeared to be inactive or not following a strategy, the squad leader would assign him or her to another member in the squad to look after them. Thanks to this method, and the valiant efforts of Squad Leaders, members, and the recruiting directors, the leaders were pleased to see the member count slowly climb and reach its peak of over 50 members, all active citizens.

The new Anti-farming policy:
During this reset we knew that in order to gain recognition from larger alliances, we needed to establish a system that would allow us to retal every hit odne on us and kill all those who farmed us. During this reset, only about 100 hits were left undone thanks to the new system. This system also allowed us to kill anyone who attacked four or more times. Three seperate times members over 20 million NW attack our great alliance over 5 times to gain land. Two of them were killed, and one was crippled so badly that his alliance forced us to stop.

The Spectral Wolves:
After having disbanded, four of their members returned to The Neofederation. One was inactive and booted, one became a high ranking and respected member, one became a justice, and the other remains a citizen.

The Presidency:
After having problems balancing Earth 2025 with his job, Windmach was forced to leave, and StSwf was made Unofficial President with roughly three weeks left in the reset.

The Final Numbers:
For the first time, The Neofederation finished in the top 25 for Total Networth. The final rank was Twenty-fourth. With a finish in the top 30 for number of civilians killed, NeoFed members could proudly state that they were protected by their tag. Every non-multi running alliance ranked above us had been invlolved in the TIL/Anti-TIL war or some other major conflict. After this reset, NeoFed members were truly protected, and the future reset is looking brighter.

Chapter: 7, YET ANOTHER ROLLER COSTER RIDE

President: Wafulz & StSwf
Vice President: StSwf & Melkor

Starting off Slow:
It was the 7th round for the Neofederation and nobody would have predicted the different troubles the clan would fall into. The start was quite peaceful with little trouble in any aspect small improvements were attempted but overall the clan stayed very much the same with the only thing changing being the membership number. Towards the early-mid part of the round Neofederationgot serious with its kills and in total destroyed 22 countries that had violated its retal policy. Maybe it was coincidence or just plain bad luck but the events that happened almost simultaneously were in the end it was a harsh test of clan integrity which thankfully the clan past.

Flick of the First Domino:
This chain of events started when Wafulz President of the Neofederation decided to retire due to real life commitments. This was well excepted until another member left, then another and yet another. In all about 5 “old” members were leaving due to real life, having enough of earth or just moving on. There were a few others that were less well known and this sudden vacuum of members caused a few to start a panic. A lot of the people held leadership positions and so there was also a temporary shortage of leaders. This passed after about a week and a half’s time during which the leaders along with other members were constantly trying to restore confidence which they did.

The End of Democracy:
Soon after elections for new leaders there was an idea being developed about re-structuring the clan to be more military like but cutting down a good portion of the democracy and people just came out of one panic and fell into yet another. There were rumours about cults, secret plans by the leaders the list went on. In the end none of the changes even reached voting in the senate.

One Last Punch in the Face:
Barely recovering from the loss of members and the later panic on the democratic front the Neofederation was called in to assist one of its allies. Rush to preparation the Neofederation responded to help in what would become a hopeless war. The opposition (AzN) called in Quebec to assist it more small allies on NeoFed’s side were brought in as response. It was down hill from there then Quebec went to war on another front and for some reason couldn’t handle two fronts so it called in IXEPinoy to police. NeoFed stood absolutely no chance now having taken a good battering it was in no condition to fight IXEPinoy so a truce was reached with AzN.

Due to the conflict the NeoFed’s finishing rank was nothing impressive but some good did come out of the bad. The clan’s integrity was tested well and past, and the war was in a sense needed since the NeoFed had not done so for a while and needed the experience. After such a tough round nobody is sure what lies ahead.

Chapter: 8, Peace

President: Marxist
Vice President: Ray

This set started off ok with little or no trouble at all. Infact it’s been quite a peacefull set with no wars (for a change). And only 6 kill runs, one on the very last day of the set. The usual elections took place and Marxist was elected Prez and Cardona as VP. Unfortunately Cardona was booted for inactivity. This left Marxist to run the clan alone for most of the set.

We lost a few members this set as usual, this does happen, but the membership is now starting to rise again. We are running a strong recruitment drive involving all members and this will go on through the next set. A couple of our new members have really proved themselves and are going from strength to strength. I feel this set the members are all pulling together in the same direction at last, and moral is good. Also we have an old member return to the fold, lets hope we get one or two more.

Towards the end of the set Marxist ran the Prez and Vp elections early. He was voted back in as Prez for the next two sets and Ray was voted in for VP.
Marxist then proceeded to plan a new beginning for the Neofederation. The squads were re-organised and the training squad will now be run from Earthstats. This will be better and give us more contact with new people. The new buddy system will also be brought back in. Any new member will be teamed up with a buddy and after coming out of training and will go to the same squad as their buddy. This should ensure a steady growth of the new member. Also being brought in is a points system. Very briefly anything you do, you will get a point and if you do anything wrong or don’t participate you will loose a point. This will ensure activity and friendly rivalry. The responsibilities of Squad Leaders is also to be expanded, they will have to keep an eye on their squads more and submit regular reports, again this will ensure activity.
We talked about changing the clan name but people were against it so the name stays.

The Vp is now in charge of all kill runs and will work closely with head FA. This will ensure that kills will be organised straight away and will not be overlooked or argued about. Retals, we will be concentrating very hard on this subject to make sure they are done. Providing of course people post all hits on them, if they don’t then they wont get done. Farming of our members will no longer be tolerated.
I have to say Coldgun gave us a great new tutorials in the form of a web page. The instructions how to do things are very good with screen shots and I think it will help people a lot. They are easy to follow.

Late in the set we closed the doors on one or two retired members. One was trying to get people to go over to his clan (no names). We later had strong suspicions that he was run

History of Nemesis from 12/1999 to 3/2001
By Time

December 1999, The Founding
Cinder, Dolrath, and I formed a tiny clan called MagicTG. Soon after I discovered another small one called MTG. Quickly I message them and met Singularity. I said "WE HAVE TO MERGE, OUR CLAN NAMES MEAN THE SAME THING." Two days later we merged. They included Singularity, Knights, Archangel, condurer, and Firecat. Then we altered tags to MG0 which meant StarCraft and MagicTG, for recruiting purposes.

Mid-December 1999, The First War
Our first war was against MDKxFoG in defense of our ally LoD. We used a simple message board to coordinate war targetting. In 4 days of newbie work, we killed MDK leader's country. But then SGN, Ragnarok, and DWA declared war on us. It was surprising and funny that they called 3 allies; however, we continued at MDK. Eventually we negotiated peace in defeat. We also altered tags again to NEMESIS suggested by Cinder. Soon Robert Brant, aspen, and some others joined. Visit our ancient site at http://www.homestead.com/mtghq/main.html

Feburary 2000, NEMESIS-Phoenix Merge
Later on Cinder discovered a clan called Phoenix. We talked for a few days, and they joined us. They brought Raven, Panzer KNight, Surge, and several others. This strengthened our member-base.

Late-Feburary 2000, NEMESIS Vs. Jihad War
We encountered problems with Jihad and eventually warred on them. We rocked them for our first victory.

March 2000, NEMESIS Vs. SGN War
As they declared war on us, this time we declared on SGN in defense of our ally WARxTF. We warred for 4 days and then ceasedfire after killing 3 countries, losing none. SGN claimed they started saving turns when we struck - who knows.

June 2000, NEMESIS Vs. TDC War
We got into some conflict with TDC and because of bad communication, a war occurred. We called our ally MoFoTUSK in since TDC was bigger and won the war. We ceasedfire after a week.

July 2000, Future Looking Bright
To about now, our membership consisted of 40 active-semi active members which was a huge improvement. Also I created the first division leaders and minister jobs.

Late-August 2000, NEMESIS Vs. ARROW War w/ Complications
In defense of our ally SElitez, we declared war on ARROW. (During this time many clans were at war. We were able to kill 4 countries and lost 8 by reset end.) On the night of our first strike, Arrow contacted our ministers. They got into a conversation and somehow Arrow convinced them that SElitez were the "bad" guys, and we should not have helped them. In so saying Pyremancer (Internal Min) turned on me and messaged everyone except Singularity and me something like this: "We can't win Arrow. Time is a lying scum and got us into this. Let's join Arrow as a division and fight Elitez." I discovered that message from Raven and Zapper and confronted Pyremancer on the member forum. He continually said I was a liar and that Elitez were "bad" even though there was no good-bad in the war. There was a lot of arguing and Singularity, Iccyh (not in NEMESIS), and I proved him wrong. This unfortunately created a "we're doomed" environment and about 9 members left including Masonite and RedMage who went to form waRMonger. But we survived which made us stronger as an alliance.

September 2000, NEMESIS (25) Joining PoW
During this time Singularity and I could not continue running the alliance fully because of school and work. We decided to merge into a bigger clan for a reset. We also thought it would help hone our netgaining skills. I talked with Iccyh of PoW and made it happen. The process was smooth. We gained some retal system, structure, and war knowledge. And as predicted Singularity and I were away a lot. After about a month, we got into internal conflicts with PoW and left unhappily.

October 2000, Our Bumpy Return
We formed the tag NEMESISR for the remainder of the reset. R stood for Revival. However, Singularity and I were still off/on. To my understanding Jeslek (Foreign Affairs Min) attempted to boss people around. He later sent a message to everyone except Singularity and me (coincidentally like Pyremancer) saying: "The leaders have abandoned us. We are falling apart. Join clan Clowns with Guns (CWG)." Of course that didn't work, and he left. From the PoW merger up to this point, we lost about 5 members. Fortunately the core members of NEMESIS remained and stood together. We weren't goners yet.

November 2000, Back in Action
A new reset began and I returned fully. I was unsure of our future, but I knew we could live through tough times. We started with a member base of 18. I automatically entered a mental recruiting stage and reached at least 100 people every 2 days. I got our membership up to 30 by the end of the month.

December 2000, Radical Growth & NEMESIS Vs. Hornet, AAC, Underdog War
Soon Ne0 obtained the Recruitment Min position and did a great job. By the end of the month he double our membership to about 65. We also got into war with 3 clans at once, Hornet, AAC, and Underdog. We suffered about even casualities, though outnumbered, before declaring a ceasefire.

January 2001, High Hopes
A new reset began, and we started with a member-base of about 60, our highested ever. There were also about 20 heads/ministers to maintain the alliance. We were set.

Feburary 2001, Super Growth
At this point we reached an all-time high of 92 members! We got into the top 25 for about 3 weeks until we moved to another NEMESIS tag to abandon the inactives. We continued to have about 70 until the end.

March 2001, NEMESIS (70) Vs. Unknown (25) + TKS (35) War
Cinder formed another merger, this time with Exodus. However, they were at war with Unknown and needed our help. Instead of diplomacy, our ministers pushed for war. At this point, much of our alliance had not received sufficient war training/experience, therefore, I didn't like the idea. Unfornately I OK'ed it, and we warred on Unknown with 10 days in the reset left. 2 days later a war-ready clan called TKS declared war on us. By the last day we lost about 18 countries from TKS+Unknown and killed 10 Unknown. During this period there was unrest because we weren't putting out sufficient amounts of attacks for our size - as I predicted. Soon several ministers left saying we were inactive with too many members. Taking advantage of our sudden situation darklord sent out recruitment messages to all our members except Singularity and I (he got the idea from reading our history) saying something like this: "Come with me to a new clan called Paradigm. We're going to be big with good netgainers." He needed at least 15 people to join Paradigm as a division leader. And in our weak state he took about 9 in which half were ministers. As people resigned, they created "we're falling apart" feeling which helped darklord recruit and caused some to leave for other clans. But through all this, we came on top again and didn't crumble.

Apparently, the internet does forget things. The wayback machine no longer has records of alliance history pages from earth2025.gamerwikis.net. I know for a fact those pages were there 2 years ago.

Also, google no longer has cached pages in its search results. Why is that?
