I've noticed there is an abundance of dumb techers in express.

Why are you guys placing tech 500-600 cheaper than what most of my tech has been selling for? You fools are crashing the market

yea, you can sell me your way to store more than three hundred and sixty turns. kinda forces you to play. the choice was slightly overpaying or run with even lower tech %'s. the latter not being so good for netgaining :(

$1002 is obviously deliberate, if you need money fast you could sell for $1000. Unless you don't know that, but then $1002 would be a coincidental amount to sell at. Didn't see how much went at that price though, could've been some clown selling like 5 tech for $1002 to mess with the prices.

dh: the "way" for me to do it, i guess, would have been playing my country two hours earlier- lower market prices (i assume, at least) and no threat of losing turns. nobody to blame but myself :P

It doesnt work that way. You're getting lower output efficiency when you do that. You grow faster, but it doesnt really give you an edge since you're actually behind the techers who price higher and still sell, albeit at a slower rate - which is why playing that way you will always finish below the techers which arent complete dumbasses.

Having said all that, this set, please DO price lower. I could use cheap tech.

Tech is always under 3k at the start lately, because so many non-techers aren't even playing turns there's very little demand

tech should be selling for 5K this early in the reset.

Tech would never sell at $5k in Express, why would anyone buy that when they can wait a day and not lose any turns, then buy at half the price? This is just Express specific, but people have learned to wait for tech prices to come down; as a result, there's not really an ultra-high opening period either. Prices are running too low right now but they still could go back up when people start playing turns.

it just seemed like prices were a bit low or way too low for the start of a reset. even with a tech start the cashers and farmers would be reselling at higher prices.

why would anyone do a tech phase with prices this low, it's a dream come true for Indies/Cashers and Farmers. Gives them an early headstart, should be seeing more countries with high networths this reset. Republics in the top 10?

is there an express market bot available either thru boxcar or the earthempires IRC?

a market bot... a feed of the prices on the market and what is being bought at what price. Boxcar hosting has this for the alliance servers. It would be a nice to have unless it already exists for the non-alliance servers.

eestats numbers are what's sold. But nobody really goes for 12 or 18 hour bonuses on Express so if you want to see what's available you can just check
