so i'm putzing around in the embassy page from the last time Mercs was around, and i notice that i've got a few clans listed that don't appear to be around, namely:
Ares
Braden (weedy?)
PoD
SAS

are they really gone or am i just blind :P

Pod no idea what that is.
Sas was around last set and averaged 77m nw

no memory of that so either they were gone before Elysium came to FFA or we didn't have issues with them.

well my embassy's what we had at the end of set .... 10, i believe. so it's definitely outdated. not sure when elysium showed up

PoD was just around maybe 2-3 sets I believe and never was terribly big. They've been gone a few sets. I guess Ares must still exist from what quicksnipe said, but they're basically gone, too.

SAS hasn't gone anywhere though.

SAS has been a solid presence since I came back 2 years ago more or less.

Wasn't PoD what in part became CC?

PoD/Paragon of Duality were the remainder of DeDLySMuRF's attempt at reforming SworDs here in EE, after warring SancTFFA/XTinct. I was there for that set as a means of paying tribute to MasterC. When things started to fall apart, I left before fluff really hit the fan, which oddly enough happened roughly 24 hours later when someone there decided to do a kill run on TKO's top countries. SworDs disbanded for the last time and PoD was one of two tags that came out of it. The other, Pimpin' The Net/Pimps lasted only the length of that set.

PoD lasted about three sets, but DeDLySMuRF's mouth seen to it that they wouldn't have lasted long.

RAGE, DWAR, WARINC, TAKERS, KRT, MPE, USIMP... there are more I can think of, but if these tags and at least half of the people who made up those tags respectively were playing now, it'd be a whole different ball game. :)

MPE aka Mad Skittles Empire has been gone since joltomac days.

MPE really became a lesser tag when Me and Outlawz0 created WARxINC/NETxINC way back in like 2001.

Which, by the way, was one of the worse projects I was ever part of. The idea was okay on paper, but not in practice.

MPE was still around though. I wanna say Sir Boss was running the tag then. That clan when we left it was a perfect example of unruly children wanting authority and positions to the point of being annoying. In fact, it's a big reason we don't have "levels" or "officers" in ESD.

Anyways, MPE was around until FFA was eliminated. Me and Outlawz0 and Crippy and several other people started up MPE in 1a though. Not long after that, I quit playing altogether, so I can't say how long MPE lasted in 1a.

MPE WAY outlasted Potomac. Hell, when I joined MPE in 1999, he was already out of the tag. MPE peaked not long after that though.

lol i can think of alot of tags that are gone/not here and if they were poltics here would be very different....but ifs dont really matter do they?

MPE1A lasted longer than MPE in FFA, lol

Ares is here. Most of our members ran into IRL issues, and have stepped away. We hope a few of them will return, but not looking good for a few of them.
As for our current status, we have 1 active player and myself. My time is tight with work, holding 3 jobs doesn't leave much time for anything else.

Yeah, would have been nice if WARxINC and/or NETxINC had merged with my alliance when it *did* have some decent players (Zebra, Tempest, Desert Eagle, CaSh, Rocker (unofficial), Adam 2000, and a few others), but Sir B0ss wanted to be the one in charge of WARxINC, and when you, Domacius, Houston, Outlawz0 and the few other heads left or retired he took that project and formed *his* version of what MPE should be with it, and before long it was in a sense the old MPE again... just without Sprad, Domacius, or any of the real leadership that alliance had.
