Man, I wish I could remember the guy's name, but anyways, one of my buddies in MPE back in the day used to get all gooned up and we'd start spamming and he'd do his level best to violate the posting policies as much as possible without getting a time out.

He was funny as fluff. You could fill a 100 post thread in 10 minutes back in those days.

What a weird connection. I got to be great friend with Pol cause NBK jumped DWAR one set after they had just finished a war. I dec'd on NBK and got killed in oh, maybe 15 minutes.

NBK only got maybe 3 of my countries cause that's all I had left. For some reason, DSoA declared war on ESD and one of their players jumped tags into PAN after an attack run. A bunch of my countries followed him right in and I killed his ass. PAN of course killed those countries, but I was just interested in making a point cause in those days, I HATED PAN. To this day, if Cham introduced himself to me, I'd prolly make him eat his teeth. He was an arrogant German dude that didn't like Americans.

Anyways, I had like 3 countries left and used them against NBK backing up DWAR. The next set, I got to be good friends with NBK. Them and DWAR were the best allies anyone could ever ask for.

I remember when FFA didn't exist, Alliance server was fluffing huge before Primary server was created and cheaters were rampant in Alliance server. I also remember that Free For All was created as a means of alleviating the amount of people in Alliance server who played multies and give them a place where it was legal. Another reason being to give people a place to test multiple strategies to find one that worked for them. This was in the late 1990s.

To a degree. For FFA, alot of the more powerful alliances of the time are long gone (thank God). USIMP, SworDs, BOD, TAKERS, RAGE, DWAR, NHDP (LOL), BLOOD, DUEL, etc...

I don't miss the era when there were tags of 4,000+ countries, but rather miss when the largest tags numbered ~1,500 and had the players to back up that many countries. Now... you'd have to have one helluva series of mergers to accomplish that and even then it would make things unbalanced as hell.

Utopia was annoying. I played it again last year. Still the same issues with the game. A few top KD's and the rest are all in the process of going inactive.

I miss the simple fact that in the past, starting your own clan was not only possible, but it took time/effort to just make the top 25. Now u just have to tag 16 and your there.

I did play the first FFA set and was pres of #1 TNW clan :p (thanks to war)

Actually, there was like 3 of us doing it.

Potomac and some other people had an E2025-related website that provided a news feed as well as "E2025 based Fiction" like you're talking about.

The guy you're talking about was King (I cant remember).. He was in KRT, FORT, and tried to bring KRT back when Liq went to prison.

Anyways, he and me and someone else has started "Earth Fiction" stories based on actual clans and players. Mine was "Earthstorm". It was pretty cool and entertaining stuff.
