Mercenaries.

Have a clan of however many people that will fight for the clan who gives the highest bid before the beginning of the reset. Members will be tagged in said clan so it's impossible to tell who's who. Netting can be done too.

Compensation can be made in the form of reps or other arrangements.

been there, done that :P
it's difficult to run mercenary-based stuff in this game since things so often don't transfer from reset to reset. it'd also be a bit of a nuisance with open profiles.

Mercs Inc was a cool alliance. I believe Cerb started it? Or one of those crazy guys.

Was pretty cool.

yeh, it was Cerberus. He came back to EE briefly, but dunno where he's gone now.

Kind of a hard of to follow up anyway, because if the Mercs decided to fight for ICN and FSed Rage, then Rage would probably just FS the Mercs the following set, thereby making the Mercs redundant for that set, as they'd be fighting for their own "survival" rather than working for someone else.

heh.

well the idea is the mercs would have no tag but would rather tag in the same tag as the clan that hired them.

I suppose if no one wanted to hire the mercs then it would be gg but I'm sure some clans would want the member boost/nw boost either way. Heck rage with its 10 members could use a few more;)

It would be better for the Mercs to run their own tag. Like Mercs Inc did. And only fight for whoever pays them the most money. If no one pays they don't fight.

Originally the idea behind MI was kind of a dirty deeds done dirt cheap, but it was pretty hard to hide who was paying them. Besides, FA is kind of pointless to an alliance like that.

A more interesting idea would be an alliance that would sign FDP/FOP for a price. That might be an interesting path for somebody like iMag to explore.

I remember when MI killed Fin, lol.

FA would work in terms of getting buff countries to do more kills, or in the case of netting sets, FAing stocks:P

Quite a few of the old mercs reformed in NA a year or two ago, but then Santa passed away and most have gone inactive again

Mercs Inc is still alive and well. We're undercover. Hiding from the man who is out to get us. If you want more info contact me. I am the only way to connect to Cerb.

WoG prettymuch played as mercenaries for a good part of their excistance, they spent a few sets in a tag as a division and made them a beastly warmachine then moved on to the next..
