To be quite honest, I don't blame Axl, even if it was the five of them going there, out of the four who were part of the original group, Slash is the only one he hasn't seen or talked to in going on sixteen years. While its disappointing, that even after this long those two couldn't put their differences aside for one night, it suggests that there are still some wounds that haven't healed even after this long.

What I would suggest, even if it were cliché by now, would be something like the 'Some Kind Of Monster' (whether it be a filmed documentary or not) style thing where the members of the original line-up attend some kind of group therapy session to get past all of the bullfluff from the previous sixteen years and hopefully either reconcile their differences and reunite, or stay broken up and move on.

I loved GnR when I was a kid, and I still pause the seek button on my radio for them now. They deserve to be in the Hall inasmuch as anybody deserves to be, but even among a long line of great bands with disgruntled front men (beach boys, the police, journey, CSNY, and on and on) Axl Rose craziness stands out. He's nuts.

Lol. I heard Slash say in an interview that Chinese Democracy actually sounded pretty good. I listened to it a few times, but there were only a few songs I liked much. Can't say I remember anything Slash ever did since GnR, besides the drama. Lots of drama.

Axl may be crazy, but without him, GnR would never have existed. Without Slash, GnR would've probably been marginally different.

Well Slash has Velvet Revolver and Alter Bridge and a new CD coming out next month.

Most overrated band ever? I'm sorry but sales figures would argue that quite easily. Best selling debut album of all time with 18 million copies sold in the US (28 million worldwide). First band to debut at #1 and #2 on the record charts with UYI 1&2. More than 100 million albums sold worldwide.

Chinese Democracy was over-hyped due to how long it took to come out. Nothing could live up to those expectations, as we've seen with Duke Nukem Forever.

Slash doesn't have Velvet Revolver, that band is on hiatus and will probably never return.

Matt has done more than any other member IMO - he co-owns/founded a record label that has signed many talents and has provided multiple outlets/opportunities for the new bands to learn and develop their skills.

Anyone can blow smoke/PR to make themselves look famous, but the ones that quietly give back to others...they deserve the awards.

the new band is the Axl Rose cover band basically. Axl also says in the interview that he wont go near Adler either.

Anyways, the others made it, well except for Izzy, and smashed it out with another guy behind the mike, and it worked, and made Axl look like the utter douche he is.
