Instead of prior flame topic, who has them, and what do you have?
I have a pair of Maingano with 2 catfish in their tank, both about 3-4 inches long, and I have an oscar in his own separate tank, who's 5 inches long and growing.

Two dojo loaches and a plecostomus, 38 gallons. The loaches are awesome fish.

Recently had some additional fish: 3 Rasboras and 3 Neon tetras. Unfortunately the tetras brought ich and they're dead along with the Rasboras who were doing great. Very small fish don't survive ich very well. Bummed. Damn pet stores.

The loaches have been solitary for a couple years since their best friends died, a 6 year old goldfish and a 7-inch pleco.

I've heard loaches are awesome, however Oscars like to eat them :/ The better half used to have an oscar and a pair of clown loaches in the same tank (on the advice of the pets store)... The pet store told her that the oscar would try a bite at one of the loaches, discover they had spikes and leave them alone. The pet store was wrong... he ate the pair of them lol.

I give them live feed occasionally, catch little guppies in the local lake, or the one at the better half's sisters, and give them those. Always amusing to watch.

I had beef, cheese, and sour cream tacos with a side of cheese/sausage dip and scoops corn chips last night.

Not quite fish, but it's much better conversation than this topic.
I am a troll. Everything I say must be assumed to be said solely to provoke an exaggerated reaction to the current topic. I fully intend to bring absolutely no substance to any discussion, ongoing or otherwise. Conversing with me is pointless.

Usually i go for halibut 2-3 kms off the west coast of canada near bamfield. Not too deep, i prefer the little 20 to 30 pounders, both tastewise and hasslewise. I've heard of guys heading farther out to fish deeper for the real big ones (they can get to be absolutely massive, largest ever caught was over 700 lbs), but that is alot more work with more inherent risk, and i can only eat so much in a year anyways.

I've considered getting fish. It would kind of be like TV for my cats...

Indeed, martian.

I just thought about BOB today... sad thoughts at that... after reading crazymatt`s sig where I saw my country making a hit on a RDjr tag by mistake...

Used to have indoor fish, but haven't since moving a couple years ago. Now just have a couple shunbunkin and 3 koi outside. Used to have a dozen but the raccoon got to them before I got to it.

Drow, you could definitely put a decent-sized pleco in with your oscar. The oscar wouldn't get very far with the pleco's spikes. He will try, though. A friend has an oscar and a pleco in the same tank, no problems.

I've tried occasionally to add some colorful fish to my tank with little success, as shown above. Every time, one of the fish brings some disease and ends up killing themselves and sometimes others. Very frustrating. We're going to try one last time. I really want some pictus catfish, neon tetras, rasboras, and maybe a silver-tipped shark.
