Anyone else playing? Loving it so far with the simplified character creation, amazing graphics. I'm curious as to how what seems like inevitable battles with dragons will turn out.

I never finished Oblivion. I keep going back to Morrowwind because I like the mods so much better. Thinking about skipping over Oblivion and getting Skyrim.

Or if I am not thrilled with Oblivion, will I not be thrilled with it?

What did you not like about Oblivion?

Two things. The overall look of the character and the lack of mods like Better Heads and stuff that I really enjoyed. Maybe I just did not look hard enough to find them or wait long enough for them to develop.

It was a definite improvement in graphics but I really enjoyed downloading the mods more.

This is the reason Link hasn't been around for 3 days or so, lol.

So much for a constructive thread.

In my opinion, a few of the annouying things about Oblvion have been fixed. Weapons/armor no longer degrade during combat (no repairing weapons/armor after every battle). IN addition, no more pointless running/hopping around to get athletics/acrobatics points. As for an addition, I really love the kill-shot film sequences, of which one is retreving your battle axe from the chest of the last undead you just killed.

PS. Killing Dragons is awesome.

I think I'll fire Oblivion back up this week and give it another shot. See what mods have come along. If it's not working for me I give Skyrim a whirl.
