Looks like it's going to be Texas vs. St. Louis so who do you have winning.

I have Texas in six.

I'm a fan of neither. I can't really choose which one I'd like to see win. I guess Rangers.

I feel bad for the Dallas area populous having the Cowboys play there, so I'll root for the Rangers to help them get through.

After looking at the pitching matchups, I agree.

I like Carpenter over Wilson in game 1 in St Louis
I like Garcia over Lewis in game 2 in St Louis
I like Holland over Jackson in game 3 in Texas
I like Harrison over Lohse in game 4 in Texas
I hope Carpenter can come back and win game 5 over Wilson in Texas.
I like Garcia over Lewis in game 6 in St Louis
If it goes to a game 7, I like Jackson over Holland in St Louis.

I dislike that Texas was smart enough to setup its rotation so that Lewis doesn't pitch at all in Texas, but at least its setup so that he's likely to start two games.

I was really hoping Texas would win. Only because they've never won a WS.

I watched most of Game 6 and it was obvious that if it went to a Game 7 that they would be on the short end of some ass-handery.

You Cardinals fans should really go together and buy Michael Young a nice Christmas gift or maybe a gift certificate for free lap dances or something. He gave the Cards Game 6 almost single-handedly.

If we're going to buy gifts for everyone who made it possible, Michael Young's on the list, but it's a long list. :P

Sadly, I've been deathly ill, so I was in bed for game 6 and slept through all the good parts. I kept waking up just enough to see scores and either:

a) be disheartened that the Rangers scored again to go ahead or
b) be shocked that the Cardinals actually came back again.

Last night though I stayed up the whole way. Go me!

I'm still amazed by the run this team made. It's very reminiscent to me of the 2006 team in that the Cardinals probably would've been thought to be either 7th or 8th most likely out of the 8 playoff teams to win it all, except this team just always felt like they were walking through most of the season like zombies, whereas that 2006 team was just so ravaged by injuries that sapped the production of most of the big-name players.
