forgive my ignorance. back in the day, i remember TTR was the dominant netting strategy, but nobody plays it anymore. is it because of the land issue? or was there some other nerf in the game that made it not worth playing?

theocracy has lost the purchase bonus from primary market, so with tech-labs and no military buildings reselling is difficult.

i think it's more due to lack of larger/midfeeding targets. maximizing gains per hit is more important esp if you're only getting a few targets that arent in dr =P used to be able a lot more "farmable" midsized alliances back in the day

im probably out of the loop but id imagine ttr would still do well in individual servers/team

yeh midfeeding was the key to TTR

which in alliance isnt a option very much.

single servers its an option but tech prices blow in express and primary i havent played tourney so dont know its a good strat tho one i had some of my best finishes with

I would also like to suggest, as turn counts went up, and resets got shorter, the amount of N/W one could gain from reselling alos dropped. So the reset long TMBR is also much less of a viable option.

TTR still does pretty well early on. Later on in the set, it's entirely dependent on the tech market.

I used to love it back in the days. Seems like military prices drop so low in EE mid set while everyone is stocking which makes for crappy "Theo" reselling. Also the lack of good mid feeder targets as stated too.

stocking as a TTR on alliance server could be legitimate if paired with the corruption bonus.

Obviously when grabbing you need to be a tyranny...

Lol.... Why would you grab as a tyr and then stock as a TTR?

as a TTR you grab as a Theo then stock as a Demo pretty obviously =_=

No huge war? Makes the military prices so low.
