I've always played Utopia but never really liked it that much... so I saw that interview and read it just to see if they got into Earth. No dice. :(

He did put a TON of time, effort, energy, etc. in to the games he made I'm sure, but he put virtually no effort in to managing them. He was completely unreliable and let things run wild.

Helmet - he essentially created a new gaming genre, or at the very least took an existing genre to a new level.

And I'm guessing only a handful of folks here can say they own a legitimately profitable business, as well.

I heard some rumors, but nothing that could be verified.

JOLT was buying it for the user base/name, so I'm guessing it wasn't top dollar....especially since he was well past fed up with running it by then, and probably just wanted to dump it on someone else.

Didn't Comwood offer him something like 200k for it at some point in time? I know this woulda been back when the game actually still had some cash value, but have no idea if this is true or not.
