Ron Paul is obviously the most electable Republican candidate.

I can't see any way to convince Perry, Bachmann, or Romney supporters to not vote for Ron Paul if its Paul v Obama. With all the crazy crap they put up with from their candidates, the only way they would choose not to vote for Ron Paul is if Fox News somehow decides to not support Ron Paul (okay, so I can think of a way, but it ain't gonna happen). And Ron Paul can get way way more of the moderate or disenchanted voters than any of the right-wingers can.

There's just no way that Ron Paul could alienate more right-wingers or alienate more moderates than Bachmann. Its just not possible.

When dealing with politicians in the US, almost anything is possible. Look at some of the clowns we've elevted in the past. That right there should tell you something about the state of politics in the US.
