i'm not a casher, but i think you should be getting yourself military tech... At least to 90% or so.
I hope you've got some def allies... I think you're a little light on your defence even with the high weapons tech
Have fun

Yep military tech is good for him later on, but right now its a bit early to be getting military tech, especially with his bus/res techs only at 153% each.

Fair enough. I guess his military expenses aren't actually that high at the moment so that makes sense.

Thanks guys! Do I want military tech or weapons tech to counter republic's poor military strength? Or maybe both?

Weapons tech counters their poor military strength

Military tech helps your economy and is necessary for proper late set destocking.

Making it into the top 100! How do I know when to begin stocking?

Looking good, get bus/res up to over 170 and try to maintain it around there while gaining land, then start stocking:). Once you reach a certain land you want to start using all your turns hitting the cash button though. You also don't want to have TOO much military, just enough to deter attacks.

Agree with Havoc... keep growing now though... its too early to stock. Esp. on primary as a republic if you fall behind trying to stock to early you will get punished with attacks!

When I go for a mass explore I end up with a lot of cash, a surplus of 300 million. Since I can't buy too much military, what am I supposed to spend it all on?

I switched tactics and began land-grabbing. Is that a bad idea?

Nope, you'll want to start hitting the cash button soon though.

And try to keep bus/res around 170.

When ur doing LGing and start hitting teh cash button. You should sell your jets off, since they would just be sitting there costing u money.
