Guy on the radio said, repeatedly, that they are the first team in any sport, at any level to win 5 games in 5 days to capture a postseason tournament. To do that in the insanely loaded Big East this year is nothing short of astonishing.

In the playoffs, baseball players play two games, travel, play two games, travel. In the CWS they don't play 5 games in a round and they always get a day off between rounds. Besides, Big East basketball is a contact sport, baseball is for pretty boys lol

Z, you missed the qualifier. BIG EAST basketball is a contact sport. There is a reason they once allowed 6 fouls in Big East games. Those guys body each other up a lot. Properly played, basketball should be a contact sport. Setting screens, boxing out, bodying up in the post, etc.

I agree with Forgotten. Real tournaments take the place over a weekend. Winning 8 baseball games to win the tourney etc. in a 2 day span is noteworthy. 5 games in 5 days isn't fluff. Especially since baseball players play 6/7 days a week.
