If #443 or #519 doesn't win #1 this reset and shatter my unaided NW record from last set, it will be a severe disappointment and complete fail.

The expectations have been set. Don't fail. =P

tech prices have actually made a massive comeback recently and you guys have reached 40k land whereas at this point i was still at 26k land and was still LGed/topfed twice more after this.

Yea I was quite surprised when you told me that...in the back of my mind I was thinking that you lost #1 the minute you converted to farmer.

tech was atrocious, and I wasn't confident it would rebound, at all...

Plus I didn't know that the PDM situation would go down like it did.. without the PDM land farmer/grabbing was a far better possible outcome than techer,

I thought it was pretty obvious that tech would rebound.

Lord Tarnava Game profile

I had a feeling it would. With all the allkiances doing tech phases, and restarts needing tech it will probably stay 2500-3k but I wasn't 100%. I decided to go the safe route, we know food won't drop below 39, and I had more faith in my ability to grab..

Also, again, things with PDM had yet to escalate.. so I thought techers would be stocking on 20k with sketchy tech prices and the possibility of no food spike, compared to a massive farmer..

Well LT normally makes wrong decisions so him switching to farmer made it obvious that tech would go back up!

FURTHERMORE, with my open and welcome invitation to laf (as a colour in rd, mind you, open door policy, it comes with the colour and access to the now defunct tie leadership board), would I be throwing away turns better stockpiling on killing pdm countries?

don't worry, lt, i'll give you my personal rdjr landfarm (mr reseda, if you want to check my internal landtrading in any reset ever) and you'll win next reset, no question.

food peak helps techer more than farmer Bobby you know that

Casher was the better option on paper, but staying tyranny and grabbing made farmer a more viable choice IMO

i'm pretty sure if tech prices stayed at or above 2000 for most of the set, a 30k techer (which is where you were headed) will beat a bottomfeeding farmer more than half the time.

if I predicted food would never peak, and probably never really deviate from 39/40 I would think casher would be the obvious option LT. Fasc oiler as I said earlier is a serious netting strat IMO this set and techer should fare well as well. Honestly farmer is by far the worst choice heh. Sorry to rub salt in yoru wound tho!

Tech prices start extremely low this set.

this means that a large number of people must be playing techer...

When war clans go to war, start stockpiling turns etc, they usually switch strats, or at the very least they stop teching pretty much all of their turns...

put 2 and 2 together:p remember this is relating to LT's mid-set decision about switching:p obviously before the reset started it would be very difficult for you to tell lol:p

Not really it tends to be cyclical on a reset to reset basis

It hasn't been that cyclical lately.

Tech prices have been persistently low ever since the war alliances realized that XP techers are easy to run, and are much better for their purposes than other strats.

I was worried that how cheap tech was at the early stages, and how many people were techers.. that the demand would be low even after the war alliances switched over, as cashers and farmers should have been able to amx their techs very early this set.

I went with a for sure route to 200+m net, instead of a gamble. Oh well.

tyranny techer has been a sol core strategy since 2001. o.O I imagine the same for Sof and most other war clans :X

I am just staying. Though bottomfeeding techer was way better.

Funny thing about #443. Fact is i was just thinking about making a random land grab on him. I even declared war so i could get his spy opp. He would be more than easy enough to break. I guess i am just waiting for my jets to get fueled up. Better get some deff 443. I is coming to get you. :)
