... is very illogical.

I play this game multiple times per day and currently I have a 10 bonus points. 2 expire in 7.3 hours. I can get another 6 in 1.5 hours. This means I "MUST" log in again to be able to collect my defense bonus.

By making it 16 points for 1% instead of 8 points for .5%, the bonus is limited to players who either play at the same time everyday (+5 minutes since the bonuses are 24 hours) or a player who is willing to log in multiple times, variating, throughout the day.

Please end the madness of obtaining this bonus and make it half the benefit for half the points. No bonus should be more than a days points.

makes logical sense as long as its not too hard to code

halfing the bonus for half the points wouldn't change anything on an aggregate level anyway

there is no bonus for capturing more
no bonus for more offense
no bonus for higher yielding spies
only bonuses are for the craven cowering cowards

wonder why that is

I agree it would make the bonus easier to use.

Bonus for spies would be cool :O though probably not needed.

Turns bonus is technically a bonus for offense if used properly :). Thats two extra attacks per day, maybe more :O

If you can normally make 24 attacks per day (low average), then 2 extra attacks is an 8% boost to offense.
Not posting on AT as much because Maki/Steeps gave back some of my forums on GHQ. RIP my decade long blog, my blog even had replies from people who are no longer with us :(.

I kinda agree - making players stack bonuses for 2 days to use a bonus that isn't incredibly beneficial to anyone but all X'ers and countries trying to defend retals just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I could see 8 turns required, but 16 seems a bit overboard.

Yes i looked at it; doing 8 for half sounds reasonable; but i'm not sure how we'd retrofit that

also, don't bonus points last 48 hours? it shoudl be fairly easy to get in that case

Bonus points can last up to almost 72 hours, but always more than 48. It is -really- easy to get 16 points for the defense bonus, unless you are making a habit of skipping bonuses.

You certainly can get the defense bonus as is. That is not my point. Why make the defense bonus different than all the other bonuses? There is really no reason. Halfing both the benefit and the points used is the logical solution to stream lining it into the format of the other bonuses.
