In the Cause/Non Profit arena?

I got an idea what to see how plausible it is,

Back in Scouts I did my fair share of fundrasing for trips and community projects. But it wasn't on a massive scale compared to legit non-profit orgs.

That was 6 years ago. I don't know the exact scope of what you are proposing though, so I could be of very little help if this is a massive scale type thing.

Collect pennies, setup a sorting machine with a magnet. The pre-1983 all copper pennies will be much more magnetic than the composite zinc ones. Take all the copper pennies across the border into Canada in your car and melt them. Sell the raw copper to any industrial plant. Repeat.
