This war was one that we thought we could avoid. We had thought that Pan had decided to eject the tag jumpers. As police for Swords, it was their job to kill tag jumpers when asked to by the alliance that they were policing for. Not only did they fail in that job but they accepted the tag jumper into their clan. Then they left Swords and BSS in limbo for a week, during which they had indicated they would eject the tag jumper, just to change their mind at the end, saying that the war that Swords was fighting was over and that they can’t kill the tag jumper. This is ridiculous. No one can or should accept such a preposterous stance. So when Swords and BSS went to deal with the tag jumper, Pan and KA attacked Swords without even the decency of a war declaration prior to the attack, an attack where the attackers at 9 times the networth and about 5 times the number of countries. Considering all that has happened in the last week, I am disappointed to announce the declaration of war by the Insane Multi Posse (IMP) against Pandora’s Last Vikings (Panlv).....

whether you wanna war or not you either jump tag before you get hit (if you know its coming) or you take your beating and move on.

its one thing for PAN as police to refuse to kill tag jumpers for whatever moral ground they believe but to take them in THIER tag and then protect them is just bullfluff IMO. all PAN had to do was detag them and they wouldnt have had ANOTHER netting set ruined.

Panlv has not declared war on anyone they where killing the countries that killed Sanct tag jumppers. BSS and IMP declared on Panlv.

Panlv has not declared war on anyone they where killing the countries that killed Sanct tag jumppers. BSS and IMP declared on Panlv.

Couple points of clarification....

- KA's war dec was posted as the 2nd kill of our FS was being made (See "So Swords...", which I chose to post instead of getting a kill or two before I had to leave for the Wolves game). We apologize for not giving more advance notice to Swords, but we like our kill targets NOT to wall in a FS, so decided against declaring 2 days ago. If you're that anal on when decs are posted, well....fluff off. It means nothing at all, so get over it.

- I was first told IMP was planning on FS'ing PAN about 10 or 11 days ago (will check MSN to see which), and asked to see if we couldn't help keep it from happening. The whole "wanted to avoid this" line strikes me as a load of BS.

- Calling the person who re-tagged to PAN after Sanct was FS'ed a tag jumper is about as technically correct as referring to McDonald's as food - you may be right on the most technical of levels, but if it sits well with you you probably aren't thinking about it hard enough, or don't fully understand the information in front of you.

on #1 - not ruffled, just clarifying. It's not exactly fair to say we didn't post a war dec when we did, now is it? That, and I'm rather sick of folks whining and crying around here (and even more in 1a, ::cough::) that a war is somehow unfair because a dec wasn't made instantly...

on #2 - your leaders said otherwise, but I'm not in IMP so obviously I can't speak to official plans. Either way, with all those Mono's, you're gonna have a hard time convincing anyone your plan wasn't to war this set...

Anything earlier would just be giving away a perfectly good tactical advantage, wouldn't it?

I mean, if you even post a war dec 10 min before you actually hit a clan, that's enough time for a leader to call just about every member and warn them to get online.

Point of reference - When RoCK "FS'ed" LaE, we had a few days warning it was coming, and about an hour of warning of the actual timing of the FS coming. We were able to get a lot of folks online to wall, and plenty more to CS RoCK WHILE they were FS'ing. This meant that RoCK not only lost their FS advantage, but that LaE was able to turn their strategy against them with our CS. We would have steamrolled them one way or the other, but knowing their FS time/date made it that much quicker and easier.

My apologies NOW3P. I must have misunderstood. If you like, I'll take that part out of the war dec.

As for our intent to war, we did have the intent to war a tag that was already at war. At no point did we desire to war win Pan. The reasons EVIL posted being the most important. Pan knew that if they took their stance on the tag jumpers and attacked Swords and BSS that we would join in. If they had done what they should have, either deleted or kicked the tag jumper, this war would have never happened.

It's all good - like I said originally, I just wanted to clarify. It takes a heckuva lot more than that to hurt my feelings :-)

The whole tag jumper thing seems a rather weak basis for war, imo....but then again, this is just as much a war game as it is a netting game, so as long as you didn't violate a pact it probably doesn't matter much what your reasons are. Same with KA and Swords - we really didn't have a reason to hit them other than that they were unpacted....which was good enough for us :-)

one of them is for sure - but even with those "handful or 2 of others", I only see what looks to be 3 members total in vacation...which yeah, is very possibly because it does happen to be almost new year's.

Not exactly an indication of PAN tucking tail and running if you ask me.
