Yesterday, I got one that was a word with Greek letters.

Just type anything in, and you'll get a new captcha that's probably readable

Well yeah, I suppose you could. That's what I meant to say. I knew there was a reload button. I was testing to see if anyone else knew about it.

The captchas have been getting harder and harder.. I know they stop bots but when they stop people? I got one yesterday that made no sense whatsoever.

You dont' have to be spot on with the captchas...just get close.

There were reports that reCAPTCHA (the captcha service we use) was cracked. This is just speculation, but I believe they changed the algorithm in response to that.

If you get one that isn't readable, just refresh and try the next one. I had to do that a few times already.

I've had to refresh a few times cause couldn't make it out. No biggie tho. Not like it takes heaps of time or anything.

The only time I really dislike it is when you're in the middle of playing a country and all of a sudden it pops up and you're back to the main page and have to log into the country again. Why do they do that??? Would that catch more bots or something?

captcha was broken with a 30% success rate last week, thats plenty when you can try a lot really quickly to make forum spam accounts selling viagra or whatever

perhaps it could put you back where you were, or there could be a countdown during the last 10 minutes so you could go do it early, or know when it was going to happen

should also never happen in the last 5 minutes of a set

I agree with MM - isn't there a way to delay having to captcha until AFTER you've gone back to the portal? That can be extremely obnoxious when you're in the middle of a kill run, or a complex set of turns.
