it was a long time ago. I was 15 and dumb. Went rock climbing, got arrogant. Didn't piton in the last 15 or 20 feet of my climb, when I should have every 5 to 8 feet. Thought I was billy badass and could make it. So when I fell, what should have been a 10 or so foot swing and fall turned out to be a 20-25 foot swing and fall.
When I swung back into the rock face I fractured my hip, and compound fractured my leg. Rescue squad had to repel down to me, basket me, lower me, and hike me to the nearest road.
