if rival didnt want an issue they wouldnt have l:l retaled

rival transfers land
if you believe your l:l is legit you can do what you like with the land
if rival wanted to be cautious they could have skipped this set and just retaled directly

sol does additional retal(s?)
if you believe l:l isnt legit then retals are valid
if sol didnt want an issue they could have let it go

2 above steps could be mixed up

rival kills sol country that over retald
obviously taking things up a notch

sol waits a week then kills 2 rival countries
obviously another escalation

rival kills 3 countries this time?
another escalation

sol fs's
another escalation

sof couterstrikes
escalation again, perhaps rivals not going 100% though

both sides obviously had many chances to back down and neither chose to

laf got fs'd by sol over l:l without the land transfer so perhaps it could have happened even without that

this is obviously an issues based war, if either one didnt want it it wouldnt have happened, of course rival may have wanted to fs sol or sol may have wanted to fight only rival
