This is more just a couple of passing ideas than actual insistent suggestions for the game. But I figured I'd share it with the community to get opinions on it. It's just a couple of spy-op ideas.

Waylay Trade Routes: After using Market Spy, if you discover your enemy has goods or tech en route to the public market, you can send your spies to ambush the goods, stealing and/or destroying some of the goods in the process. This does not work on goods that have already made it to the market.

Delay Brigade Recovery: After using Military Spy (Or knowing you were hit with a Planned Strike), if you discover the enemy has brigades in recovery, you can send your operatives to delay them from being ready again. The amount of time delayed would be contingent on the server being played.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions? Eggs? Tomatoes?

Pro tip observed and utilized.

This is usually the part where I go in and spy on the guy to see what he's up to. But I'm not packing a lot of spies this time around. And if he's that active on being a bum, I'd rather not draw that kind of attention to myself. >.>

It's not really about them, KOH, It's more about the fact that there's a way to change pretty much everything about your own country without having to get involved with any other country, except the production of missiles. Once you have them, if you don't use them, they just sit there.

Two passing thoughts were also:

1. Maybe make it so where if you have 0 Warfare tech, you have 0% chance of making missiles! That way, you don't get missiles unless you choose to do so by gaining warfare tech.

2. (Perhaps less likely, but cooler in my opinion) Make an option to turn missiles into SDI tech (Maybe 500). It would be as though you are designating the missiles to be used to intercept other missiles.

Everyone's safe, and I'm fully covered for the damages. Fortunately, the rain had stopped by the time the branch gave way, and the branch only made it to the attic; not into any of the living space of the home itself. Still sucks tremendously having to assess the damage to the attic and what was stored up there.

Trying to laugh it off and look at the bright side, but it's a little tough. Now I have to try to get to work with half of my routes there blocked by fallen trees. I already called them and told them I'd be late. They found it as no surprise.

So much for sleeping...The storm that passed through in the Northeast just decided to put a 300 pound tree branch through my roof. Huzzah! Looks like nature and my insurance company will be the ones "schooling" me today!

I ran into an issue where My teammates and I found ourselves under attack with one of the reasons being we "Had too many missiles, making us look like a huge threat" (Paraphrasing)

I got to thinking: Once you have those missiles, you can't get rid of them unless you fire them at somebody. And what's to prevent this from happening to somebody else? They look like they're stockpiling missiles, but really, the RNG is just being nice to them. I mean, even with 0 Warfare tech, a 0.200% chance is still a chance.

So my idea is to perhaps create a way for a country to get rid of missiles without having to fire them. Maybe have an option to sell them on public and/or private markets. And if not sell them, do SOMETHING that will allow a way for someone to drop missiles harmlessly.

This looks like bait.

I like this advice better. I don't need to prove anything to anyone at this point. I've said my piece about this whole "Declaration of War". Nothing will change, my country will still get the blow-up, and I will still play until I find my niche in here. A nice, fresh game of express just started, and I'm giving the farmer approach a try.

This cavalcade of swirling jabs has far lost its point and is far off its original topic. And I'm almost regretting even taking part of it. Who would have thought that asking "What did we do to you?" back on page one would spawn this conversation anyway?

P.S.: I diffused a bunch of missiles all throughout your team. Last night after you declared war, I managed to spy all five of you without failing. And since at the time I really didn't feel like fighting it out at all, I figured I'd somewhat tweak our chances of survival by pooping on all your missiles.

So I pooped on them.

Lots of them.

Now they are no good >.>

I'll find a way to make myself at home here without being a pest, and try to integrate myself into the nature of the beast that is the Team server.

For now, I guess I wait for my country to get all the blow-up, then just wait for next reset.

In all honesty, I'd hate to see that happen. Because ultimately, it looks like people DO have fun in here.

Me, being the new guy, would call it a pretty far stretch to come in here and pretend like I can ask for some ground rules in a server that notorious for having few as it is. So I won't do that. ^.^

What I CAN do is continue learning more about the game, the community, and how people operate around here. I'm a little apprehensive about that, though, because I'm sure I have not made a very good first impression on everyone here. And I'm beginning to feel unwelcome, despite my wanting to make up for the trouble I caused everyone.

So I'm not sure what to do at this point. I'll figure it out.

You're in Elders right? If so, then personally, I would have preferred that.

At least my attitude would have been, "My bad guys! My duplicitous actions got us all killed lol!"

If you guys were so scared of our big scary missiles, why didn't you just send spies in to diffuse them all?

I didn't say they weren't allowed to do it. I'm mostly feeling that their reasons for doing so are crap, and their execution of their "Declaration of War" was lopsided and unfair.

How would you feel if you signed in one day to find your country was wiped out while you weren't looking, and the attacks that killed your country were completely unprovoked?

I welcomed retaliatory strikes in response to my thievery. And because DrunkSEX was never a target of any of my ops, this is not a retaliatory strike.

I was hitting Milehigh (56) and Lovey Dovey Roly Poly (44), and then I tried on the on Elders country and got caught.

Therefore, unless you're in Elders, (#56), or (#44), it's not a retal.

This is my first reset in Team. How was I supposed to know of the "Wild West nature of the server. If I had know that from the beginning, I would have never made a country in it in the first place. Wild West isn't what I'm here for.

I barely played it because I don't like that mode. Too much stuff going on.

Maybe you didn't read my posts, so I'll post them again.

My country in Alliance isn't equipped for ops like this, I self-deleted all my FFA countries, Primary I'm just playing with no real strategy, and I didn't get in on the last game of Express.

I was doing it before I knew how badly it was frowned upon. I learned it was bad when I made that little oopsie with Elders. So I learned, and stopped doing it to tagged countries in Team, and I stopped doing it completely over in Tournament. I fessed up, and I welcomed retaliation. If anyone messed with me over in Tournament, or if Elders suddenly decided to get me back for the stolen tech, that would have been just fine because it's a deserved retaliation.

DrunkSEX, however, came in out of left field with a "Declaration of War" that was carried out with little or no time for all of us to see the message. And we did nothing to them. At all. Even when we had an opportunity to stop them, we didn't. This isn't about me, it's about my team.

There's a huge difference here.

Apparently, I'm some horrible, remorseless troll that wants nothing more than to grief other people.

I don't really want to cause people grief. So I'll just go.

Considering just deleting all my countries and vanishing into the aether...

I'm too busy to put up with being denied my right to learn a game.

I'm entertaining the fact that I'm probably over-reacting a bit. It's been a rough week for me IRL and I've been easily set off by stuff. I shouldn't let my real-life issues leak into my game behavior. It's part of why I described my playing this as a "Recreational Distraction".

I'm sure I'll give it another shot next set. Maybe next time I won't go SO hard-in on spies.

Also, I would like to add:

Targeting us because we "Had so many missiles" is like punishing us for a random number generator doing us favors.

So what am I supposed to do when the RNG gives me a missile? "Oh no! I have a missile I can't get rid of unless I fire it at someone! If I get too many more of these, I'll be come a target!"
