This is actuallyba very good argument FOR bots. I, too, have stopped playing Primary and Tournament for these very reasons.

This suggestion is what it says on the tin.

When you stake your claim on a piece of land and declare it a country, what kind of landscape are you building off of? Is it in the arctic? How about along the coast? Surely, wherever your country is located, the lay of the land itself could provide benefits and detriments to your empire's growth.

The purpose of this suggestion is to promote an added layer of strategy to country builds, as well as open the door for new strategies to flourish.

When creating your country, you will also be asked if your land is located on any dominant terrain. You can choose not to do this, and be provided with no additional benefits or drawbacks. However, once you have made your choice, it can not be changed, even if you die and restart.

The bonuses and drawbacks would stack with those provided by your chosen government type.

I've provided a few examples. Feedback would be appreciated.

As far as the core concept if the Fiesta Server is concerned, I pictured it as a server where each reset, random parameters are tweaked and applied to all countries. These parameter changes would be displayed on the country creation screen.

I'm throwing my hat in considering my desire for efforts to mitigate suiciding, even though I don't play Team.

With the various threads and discussions about suiciding and griefing, and being a victim to a few suicides myself, I was thinking about the one common factor that all suicides have: the Artillery Barrage.

Repeated, unprovoked Artilley Barrages have the potential to ruin days worth of work and truns of the countries who fall victim to them.

Many people have come up with good suggestions on how to curb or eliminate this heinous act, but I feel like a lot of them are either too clunky, or shift the overall gameplay experience for specific servers.

Therefore, I propose something that could invite a bright new world of strategy while curbing suiciding across all servers: Repurpose the Artillery Barrage.

In short:

AB's Now: Destroy Buildings
AB's after: Destroy a small amount of Turrets and lower readiness by 1%

The logic: Tanks are war machines, so it makes sense that they be used for wartime purposes. You wouldn't sent a barrage of tanks to an enemy country just to blow up buildings and go away. No, you send tanks to lower defenses and soften targets.

"But what about Bombing Runs?"
Reduce the number of buildings destroyed per strike and make Construction Sites immune to them.

"What about the 'Bomb Structures' Spy Op?"
Keep it as is. Enough of them get through before your Spy DR kicks in, and Spy ops are limited per day.

"What about the buildings destroyed via land grabs?"
Keep that as is also.

This is is just a proposal, and I'm definitely welcome to feedback. :D What do you guys think?

My absolute favorite part was about 48 hours before the end of the reset, I log in and see that my FFO had 84 BILLION in cash. Amd I was like, "Why my FFO have $84Billion dollars!?"

Turns out the oil I was hiding on the market at $599 all got bought up. All 100-some-odd-million barrels. And I just laughed it up as I realized that totally effed up my Oil Destock LMAO.

Every time I would try to play FFA in the past, I would wind up not having the time or attention to run 16 countries, and end up deleting them all and heading for the hills.

This time around, however, I decided to stick with it. I ran only 4 countries under the EDEN tag: A FFO, a bad Rep-casher, and even worse Demo-Techer, and a Dict Rainbow of whatever the hell I felt like doing. My top country, the FFO, wound up in 74th place, which I don't think was too bad considering my overall experience with the game. Best of all, I had fun. Especially when the reset was easing to its conclusion and I tested out some things killing bots.

I had some nice interaction with Rando in LoC after i failed a spy op while trying to just scout other countries for tips and ideas. Overall, it was cool. I really enjoyed the reset, but I probably don't have the time to carve out to dedicate to bigger things in FFA.

But I would rate this full experience with FFA a 10/10, would most definitely come back.

And other details I failed to mention:

She was here on a tourist visa, which is extremely difficult for Indonesians to obtain. This isn't because of the USA either. It's because the Indonesian government KNOWS that people who travel to the US wind up not coming back. So they probe pretty much their entire life to make sure they have a life holding them to the country.

Since we met AFTER she was already here, we actually circumvented the entire K-1 visa process. In our first interview, we straight-up told immigration we voluntarily had her overstay her tourist visa as we were feeling out where our relationship was going; basically admitting we did it in the wrong order.

Lastly, we managed the entire process without hiring a lawyer or even getting any attorney's counsel.

The current processes for legal immigration and path to US citizenship are a bit cumbersome and require your complete transparency with USCIS. But there really is nothing to fear unless you're either a wanted criminal or you knowingly are applying for the wring type of visa to shirk certain processes.

There were a few things about our situation that we FEARED would have resulted in her removal, but USCIS worked with us and pointed us in all the right directions.

Just easing in to share our (Me and my Wife's) experience with immigration throughout the Trump Administration's current term.

For some background: My wife got her visa to come to the US in July 2014. She entered the states in October 2014. We met in March of 2015. While we were dating, her visa expired. We decided to just let her overstay it. Later we were married in August 2016.

We spent the rest of 2016 periodically researching (ACTUALLY RESEARCHING) all existing immigration law.

We started her immigration proceedings in January 2017, right at the start of Trump's term. We had 5 forms to submit because of her overstayed visa and a missing I-94. Of course, with the media blasting "Drumpf is racist and orange" 24/7, my wife was underatandably concerned that it wouldn't pan out, and she would be sent back to Indonesia. (A Muslim-majority country, mind you)

We had her 2-year Green Card 3 months later, April 2017.

The next step was waiting until January 2019 to file the I-751 for her 10 year green card. Of course, again, with 2 more years of "Drumpf us Racist and Orange" fresh in our minds, concerns came to the front. Instead of worrying, though, we did ACTUAL research, read up on any new laws or statutes that may have been implememted that could affect our application process.

The only bad thing we found was the processinng time for the form: 10-14 months.

So we filled out the form, submitted all supporting evidence, and sent it away. About 12 months later, we got a request for additional information and evidence. So we did that.

She got her 10-year Green Card just last month. And she will apply for citizenship in April of next year.

No major holdups
No threats of deportation
Everything went smooth.

Green card through marriage throughban expired visa and your nation of origin is almost 90% Muslim, during the height of the Trump administration. If you go by the word of the biased media alone, this would have been certifiably impossible. But we did ACTUAL research, ACTUAL reading, ACTUAL footwork. And everything went perfectly.
