Can someone please explain the real benefit to weapons tech? Does it increDe the strength of your military increasing the offensive points for each unit?

Yes, weapons tech increases the strength of your military, both offensive & defensive. Say you had 100 troops & 130% weapons tech, your troops would have the fighting power of 130 troops with no tech.
Ignore the smiley.
I have 10 tabs open.
I may or may not be here.

yes, you need to have weapons if you want to get anywhere in this game. Your wepaons tech does not apply to your allies help if you have def/off allies.

readiness matters when defending or attacking but allies readiness doesn't matter on defending or attacking (unless its been changed w/o telling players).
Patience: Yep, I'm with ELK and Marshal.

ELKronos: Patty is more hairy.

Gallery: K at least I am to my expectations now.
