The problem with Republicans is that they've simply gone insane.

They believe in these fantastical things like the Rapture, that the president is a secret Kenyan Muslim, evolution is really only just a theory and the earth could just as likely be 6,000 years old, and they make up fake problems and come up with conservative solutions to solve them.

I'm genuinely a conservative guy. I actually can't stand blowhard smug liberals, but I'm not really sure Republicans have yet realized how insane the party has become.

I'm sure there are low information voters who just want to make a living and catches glimpses of the political process who happen find the Republican message appealing. To those people, I'm sorry for calling you crazy.

But to the rest, the party is insane.

Big news that's not being discussed is Puerto Rico has voted for statehood.

Congress has to approve.

Latino and conservative.

Should be a no brainer for Republicans. 2 extra seats in the Senate most assuredly. They control the house so they can force Obama, who won 70% of the Latino vote to sign it. But then I wonder about Who will win the debate in the GOP?

The shrinking base of rural white voters, or the reasonable moderate wing, or what is left of it.

If Obummer is smart, he'll take the lead and force the Republican's hands while they're still worried about a tea party insurgency since so many of their crazies went down in flames tonight and the remaining tea baggers are upset at Obama winning a second term and are already plotting to sabotage the American economy... again.

If a Dem spearheads this, it's like Lincoln freeing the slaves. Guaranteed brand loyalty for a few election cycles until the state grows less conservative/religious.

Kill PBS too!

I really don't understand how Republicans think it's going to solve anything other than score political points and kill probably the only bearable non-biased serious nightly news cast that isn't filled with bile hatred for one party of the other.

Actually that's probably a good reason for them to kill it. Keep Americans in the dark even more.

They can kill PBS a thousand times over and it won't make much of a difference.

Good news indeed.

What was holding back my great state of British Columbia from approving legalized Marijuana is the Americans would freak out.

Now that Both CO and WA has legalized hemp, and possibly Oregon as well, we can maybe consider legalizing it, and cut back on criminal elements growing pot.

The amount of people who have been killed here due to drug trade turf wars from selling BC pot to Americans is insane.

We lost the Presidency. But I have a plan to help the USA. We must embrace the fiscal cliff. Boehner must not waver. We must be willing to shut down the government for an indefinite period of time. That means no pension money for our Veterans who risked their lives for us. That means no money for anything. But it also means the deficit is gone as the government would be unable to add to the debt limit. It also means long-term we would be better off as people would realize they need to be self-sufficient and not sponge off...Fiscal Cliff

Romney is not going to win. Even before today, he had less than 10% chance on Nate Silver's statistical analysis of the state polls.

With PA and NH slipping away to Obama, Romney's chances just nosedived.

Florida is neck and neck without the big democratic counties on the coast fully reporting yet. So Florida might actually be a win for Obama as well.

Most prediction I saw was Obama winning with 290-300+ EV, he's definately on track.

During the final few days of polling, Repubs were arguing the polls, and by extension Nate Silver's analysis were wrong. So far tonight, the polls have been pretty accurate.

The red states went red and the blue ones went blue.

That video's been making the rounds.

Pollsters call a segment of the voting population low information voters. These are basically people who don't pay much attention and are easily swayed by emotion and ads.

This video goes a step further and shows lots of Romney voters are no information voters.

uninformed + bad economy + no healthcare + bootstrap mentality
makes people scared. They're on their own. It's Zombie apocalypse everyday. Everyone for themselves!

Screw the poor (even though they are one of them). No poor people ever gave them a job etc. etc.

Then you throw in the Fox News factor

The result is an awful electorate that will vote for some rich guy who won't release his tax returns outside of the two years he engineered to look 'better' because otherwise, it would be uncomfortable explaining to people working two jobs why they paid more Taxes as a % of their income than he did.

Republicans want Libya to be Obama's Iran Hostage crisis.

I've never seem supposedly patriotic people (Republicans owns the whole patriotism thing ya know) be so giddy Americans were killed.

One of the 4 killed is actually a young tech dude who is BIG EVE ONLINE player and a key architect of their current politics. I can totally see it being an Earther being in the same position.

Also chances of Romney actually winning is slipping as polls consistently show Obama ahead in key swing states such as Ohio, NH and IA. And he really only needs those 3 to clinch 270. But he will also likely get CO, NV, NM and VA.

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/

There's no Romentum, Obama has actually gained on the polls in the last 10 days, and all Fox news has left is to play up Benghazi.

Also don't throw away your vote to a third party.

If you want game to grow, telling people they are dumb for not going through the right channels is not the right way to do it.

That's just very narrow thinking. IMHO.

Someone not familiar with how this game works isn't going to know the right protocol.

I think a lot of us have just grown to assume, probably correctly, we've all been playing for years, so everyone knows the rules.

OP has a point. It's off putting to be told to quit the game!

Republicans are such a joke party right now. As a Canadian conservative they're like the caricature of a rightist party I would rather not exist.

The bible thumping knee jerk reactionism of hating on homosexuals, non-whites, anyone who spends too much time not drinking beer, watching sports or playing sports is the demographic of the Republicans.

With a shrinking electorate no wonder they had to lie their way into winning 'debates' and use voter ID laws to restrict voting of minorties.

Romney is completely spineless. He would have made a pretty good Republican during H.W. Bush's presidency (Bush #1) when Republicans still stood for free enterprise AND actually governing for the country, not just for the few elites, because that's what privileged white dudes who grow up in estbalished families and go to Harvard, Princeton or Yale or whatever do after they make their fortune. They go into public service to serve the country.

I have no doubt he said what he said in that video because he thought it was safe to do so and he was in a room of millionares and that is what they wanted to hear (lower taxes, fluff everyone else)

Romney's problem however is he already had a reputation for being a flip flopper, and worse, a slithering salesman who will say what you want to hear to get a sale.

Here's him infront of a latino crowd the day after the whole 47% thing blew up. Notice the tan, and tanlines around his eyes and neck. That's right folks, he browns himself for the ethnics.

Gameplay is what it is. Really 90% of this game is the clan dynamics and intra-clan issues.

You need a top tier of players in each clan doing the planning and setting the politics.

Then maybe 50-80% of the players in that clan will execute. What needs to happen is leaders need to understand some players can only check clan site once a day and have 30 minutes and not to have an elitist attitude about the minutiae of game mechanics.

Long post sort.

20% lead, 80% execute. Yes, this means a disproportionately small number of players will carry the load of the alliance, but that's how MMOs are.
