So it made like 250m in North America alone thursday to Sunday. Much higher than Disney's own predictions.

I booked a 3D dbox showing this weekend on saturday and the theatre I book on Is like 60% full. 7 days out.

I feel like this will have a 130m plus Xmas weekend. Insane

It's a really good movie actually.

I consider myself a pretty big fan, but some of the others have a whole comlplex about the films.

Does it echo a lot of the original trilogy ? YES
is there fan-service because we have returning characters from the OT? YES
is the plot going to blow your mind inception style? NO
is there a twist that hopefully wasn't spoiled for you? YES
is it a good movie? YES

That's all to it. One thing about The Force Awakens. Lately, with Disney's MARVEL universe movies and the cornucopia of super-hero slap fests, I was growing tired of the 'blockbuster' look. You know it. The hyper jagged up glowy , chrome CGI fluff and crisp HD explosions with fluff flying all over the screen.

The Force Awakens actually doesn't try to top any of that. There's certainly a lot of stuff exploding and CG as Star Wars practically invented what it means to be a blockbuster, but it follows Star Wars rules. This is why The Force Awakens looks like a natural progression from Return of the Jedi, rather than the 7th Star Wars movie after those 3 prequels that in retrospect, pionerred the modern soul-less CGI-heavy 'look'

Put an instantgram filter and the Web interface might be retro cool. In fact I'm betting Web based games might be due for a comeback albeit with slicker Web 3.0 ui.

I like this. Easy may even be a misnomer. I think a system where alliances compete for power through other means might be interesting.

An interesting thing to consider is if Alliance Server clans can migrate some of their players there and effectively encourage alliance server players to run 2 countries in two servers. Either through direct copies of clans there or rebranded as a farm team type structure.

So conflicts here can spill over there, adding another dimension, while the more casual playerbase there can participate in alliance politics but not necessarily have to be as intense as we alliance server.

Only danger I see here is for netters to simply quit alliance server leaving this server without an economic base for warring tags to war properly.

I think they have to be connected somehow to discourage the view that Easy server is for netters and therefore there should be no conflict, and alliance server is for warring tags only. It could fracture the game too.

Who cares? Sof/Laf pacts have the same value of Monopoli's money in real life.

They wanted a war, we are at war, i just hope for once they will be able to play on their toes only but i don't hold my breath on it.

If that were the case, the sof leadership must be masochists spending all that time and effort telling membership not to FA imag or derail your FS in anyway until pact was voided 24hrs later. Risking MD fsing us in the interim.

MD needs to get off its fluffy high horse. So annoying

Bring up the wrong that MD has done this set and we start to hear about "controversy" from a previous set. No defense for MD...just irrelevant attacks on SoF's past.

Or perhaps you believe MD's leaders are hypocrites? Or perhaps you believe that MD and SoF's war this set was a fair war? Pointing out SoF's "crimes" in the past does not defend MD's current actions.
I was pointing out that SoF only believes in "proper rules of engagement and Honorable conduct" when they're winning. In response to a SoF member complaining about MD. The irony being that MD's overall record is a lot better than SoF's. Even this set the one thing SoF keeps fluffing about MD doing (accepting FA) they've done themselves.

An eye for an eye makes the world goes blind.

As MauricXe pointed out, your argument is damning in its lack of any defence of MD, just deflecting to possibly things SoF has done.

As political entities, alliances play politics that's part of it. I'm not faulting MD for example for stalling on talks to get that FS in last set.

Is this like the point in an argument where the frustrated party starts to spam ad homenims and call the other side all the vile names they can think of?

I don't recall seeing an original from another alliance tag up and give me massive fa and 120 free turns to hit with. I suppose in your fantasy scenario it's what is happening. I would stop hitting the mind altering drugs for a set or two.

Maurice, it's fair to say that MD is merely projecting because they cannot comprehend SOF doing things differently.

When they started to fall in tnw, it was suggested that we were receiving secret FA, then a few days later we find out they' e been doing what they've accused SOF of.

I'm not even sure where respect falls into this when MD accepts a stocked tag jumper midset that wanted to join our side initially but was turned away. I mean, we can bury the whole mercenary issue cause without member lists it's just a giant passing match. Accepting the tag jumper shows a complete lack of respect for proper rules of engagement and Honorable conduct.

Yeah not sure what SoF has to do with you 'hating' the game.

If anyone should be annoyed it would be SoF members who had our reunion set ruined followed by MD using underhanded tricks to say that they can beat us in a supposed 1-1 war.

If you have a problem with the current political situation, change your leaders.

SoF didn't start this.

I don't think Bush ever did anything as offensive as confuse Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

He did worse and confused Afghanistan with Iraq

Also Fox News is not a legit news source. After lying to their base about Romney winning easily in the weeks leading up to the election , even Republicans are realizing how much of a right wing shill the whole network is.
