I do not trust you with the names of people who shared logs. My apologies if I was unclear on that. Plenty of people have asked you directly at this point, and I feel you'd only use them to go on another witch hunt. You have also been asked on these forums directly why Chevs was banned, and you have edited and/or deleted your own responses. You would have been better off if you were honest and said it's because you just don't like him.

But I do appreciate your post about trust. It was an eye-opening glimpse into your overall mindset, and it helped me (and a handful of others) make a hard choice much easier to make.

I hope you take some of my post to heart. The community deserves it.

I’ve thought about this post over the past couple of weeks, and whether I could ignore it or not. But the bottom line is that it's one of the most tone-deaf messages I’ve seen from a game admin in quite some time, and I play a lot of games.

Let’s review the game admins actions over the past 2 years:
1) Military Sanctions are introduced. It is poorly implemented, buggy, and rolled back. No one cares because nobody asked for it anyways.
2) Clan GDI is implemented. It is poorly implemented, buggy, and rolled back. One heavily disliked player cares and quits over it. No one else cares because nobody else asked for it anyways.
3) Chevs is banned… for reasons? There have been too many posts made and either edited or deleted to explain why, but it seems like it’s due to an overly sensitive game admin who had his feelings hurt a few years ago.

Why in the world would ANYONE of sound mind trust the game admins at this point based on their recent track record? They have shown time and time again that they are unreliable. Changes have often been pushed without proper testing, and the admins disappear after introducing game breaking bugs.

Instead of owning up to this and trying to be better, we’re told to suck it up because we should be so thrilled to play a game that’s on life support as it is? What a fascinating way to continue to alienate members of a dwindling community.

I’d be remiss if I also did not praise the best part of this game, which is all of the stubborn bastards hanging onto the community. I’ve played just about everywhere and killed just about everyone at this point, and it has been fun. A special shoutout to my man-bros in the Bomb. We never took the game too seriously and had a riot with our antics. It’s odd to me that the game admins look down so heavily on players trying to have fun in a 20+ year old game, but it is what it is.

What? I've seen logs from at least 3 different people posted in discord asking both you and other mods why Chevs was banned. Logs with you responding and dodging every attempt to give an answer. Are you saying those people don't count because they are "co-conspirators?" Am I co-conspirator? Because I've played with Chevs on and off since returning to the game and I have no idea why he was banned.

You talk about lying on AT in one breath while making lies of your own in the next. I guess you think since you've banned most of the others who have asked you in private already, no one was left to call you out on this? I guess I'll be banned next. What a joke.

If LaF members wanted to net, they should pick a tag to play in that has leadership that isn't so toxic. Diplomacy should matter in an alliance based game. It's an ingame tag, not North Korea.

LaF leadership has a history of poor politics and when they start to reap the consequences of their actions, they whine to mods or devs to bail them out. This has happened before with sanctions, and is happening again now with the war room debacle. Clueless game devs listening to toxic alliance leaders has already chased dozens of people out of a dead game and will likely be the final nail in the coffin.

...and to be clear, I love it. I've felt the community has deserved a better managed game for years now. I hope QZ continues to go full retard and breaks things for good.

Hey old friend, I'm not sure where you are getting your info, but "90% of Bomb" people quit the game when they were either sanctioned or banned. I'm the only one who came back this set, and that was mainly to say hi to some friends as I haven't played in over a year.

I'm surprised how worked up some people still get over this game. It's dead, there are more bots than players... anyone left is just wasting their time at this point lol.

You should all go find better games to play! They are everywhere!

...as a side note, why would anyone want to play a dated game when mods ban and place "war sanctions" on anyone who disagrees with them? Many here with a voice would rather compete against bots and never face any real competition, and some mods went out of their way to help systematically push players out of the game because of it. There were ~20 people who quit when the Bomb dissolved. Good luck getting any of them back, we're all playing better games now.

I made a country in SoF this set hoping there might be a decent war and some real PVP. I should have known that it would be lopsided and not much more than another reason for people to waste their time. Back to retirement for me.

You guys do realize this is a problem right? You have an influx of players who come back for a war and then skew numbers so much that they all leave midset? What's your endgame here?

Well, as I said - enjoy your bots. I've never seen a gaming community that struggles so much to recruit or retain members act so toxic to each other. This game deserves to die.

Maybe netting would be more interesting if the market wasn't always so predictable and boring?

But then again, I actually enjoy competition. Go back to farming your bots. Anyone worthwhile has moved on to real PVP games.

War is good for the game. It’s the last competitive aspect of the game. Look at how much the war has driven recruitment on both sides. It’s amazing what happens when you make the game something more than farming bots with no risk/reward element. There should be a big war every set.
