4) I have the alliance spyops in front of me, if the police thought it would be nice to give it time to find new pacts before killing it then fine, but surely 5 days is more than enough to find new pacts or at least drop your current ones?

6) on 11/6 #242 was already twice the size of SoL's breakers, so licking wounds, stocking up and making sure you're prepared to hit was a priority. Now from my experience of being in wars you need 72 hours to get turns stacked and countries patched before moving on, yes it was just one country but it was one that would need a lot of resources to take down if it was to come online. If you're going to do something, at least do it properly.

Now you're just sprouting more rubbish about NW, we're not netters. We've already said why it died. There's a lot of LaF already ahead of SoL if you look at the ANW's. We don't care.

At least you've admitted your post comes out of your lovehole.

5) true.
6) PDM FS'ed us, and we FS'ed imag as soon as we could be prepared after the PDM war. Adding in an untagged that would take half the breakers out was not the best strategy.
7) We're not CF'ed with Imag, so technically still at war, however our breakers had just over a day to restock to hit it.

sb - it died because it was caught, asked and refused. It would have happened sooner if PDM didn't FS us, and would have happened sooner if we didn't need to save resources for imag.

No, we've only just had the opportunity to kill it, if it was tagged LaF after the CF it wouldn't have been killed.

I'd rather not have political threads as a non-US citizen it would bore the poop out of me, and would probably discourage more non-US people from reading these forums if there were more RL politics rather than ingame politics.

It's not uncommon for solers to be better turn prepped for wars due to most strategies used involving block explores, along side a mandatory turn save due to some hits going a bit sour, not to mention FSing a clan who's FS time is usually at that time due to most players around at that time.

I know SoL was at least 2 days behind planned schedule and I'm proud of the effort our members have put in at such short notice.

Oh and pang, I'm loving the paranoia, we really hadn't planned for that at all but quite enjoying it.

I don't have irc/msn up at the moment but we need a chat, I can do IRC on either your server or ours (scourge.se #solfr) or through PM, or contact other SoL FR's

Thanks.

Those turns stored by those FSing are also turns gained by the opposition to strengthen their countries, for a well run techer this could be as much as $1bn, which can boost the defences of a country by 5m turrets, of course netters don't like running with 5m turrets as that's expensive and hampers growth.

With communication becoming even stronger, free SMS's, newsbots with contact details and mobile internet it's now easier than ever to be "online" to wall, or to get people online in a FS to defend.

Or if you're relly that worried about being FS'ed... FS first!

If there was no war, there would be no netting as war strats rely on selling food to netters to stock, to buy goods to kill with. No war, no buying goods, no one selling food as everyone wants it to stock with, food rockets in price but no one wants to sell it, people start playing at losing cash over 2bn because nothing is worth stocking anymore, otherwise everyone just runs a farmer with high millitary tech then sells private at the end... and again no one wins because there's nothing on the market to buy so it's the first person to destock and buy out their private market.

Netting is a game of risk, run the lowest costing country gaining land efficiently and pray to fluff someone else gets ruined by another country and not you. Take away the threat of wars and no one feels the need to defend and the game becomes stale.

I tried it once, really hated it, the atmosphere, the lack of action, knowing there was nothing more to come. Netting for me is like being in a managed retirement home where you sit around and do fluffall, maybe see if there's anything happening outside the window, hoping either you'll be put out of your misery or for family to visit so you can hear that they're doing well. Hoarding onto what wealth you have left, you can't do anything with it and at the end all you do is spend your gathered wealth on what could have been an awesome party when you were younger.

People have no need to speak to eachother apart from to try and compare grandkids and their jobs. It's a lonely dull boring life and I feel sorry for new blood coming to the game where it's all set out strats and tools and calculators and very little interaction with other players.

War gets people talking, war gets people working together, I'd rather spend my stock on a good killrun anyday than to try and be the top of some table at the end of the set. Enjoy the journey, not the end result.

2 years ago, yes, NA killed some SOL via a bug in 2025. If that were in EE, i would have 100% expected the moderators to fix it. 2025 had lazy ass crap admins. that is most certainly not disputable.

The admins did fix that bug in the end, but it still didn't stop your leaders running chats to get SoL's breakers killed. Trying to hack into games is not my thing, so of course I class that as bug abuse.

Nope, no one got banned/deleted/restored/compensated when the logins died and NA found a way around the cookie issue killing off SoL's top countries.

MrFord you're one to speak about abusing game bugs when it comes to war, trying to justify to me that in war you should do all that you can to win and take advantage of every opportunity. My country was one that was killed last time such a bug happened and I got nothing for it apart from being mocked by your side. No one in NA was punished and nothing could be done to restore those affected but now the shoe is on the other foot you want SoL deleted and restorations?

I'm not trying to justify the actions of a few individuals, but seeing NA countries die so sweetly did make me smile inside knowing that sometimes it takes 2 years for lessons to be learned, and like I promised you I did not take part.
