There is nothing to gain from a civil war.

Every Modern Country that has gone through one has had a devestating drop in per capita income, and a complete reduction on lifestyle as the electric grids, roads, and other systems of modern convience were destroyed.

It'd be worse here.

This whole rush to buy guns and ammo and call for a civil war, is simply based on fear.

The world is changing, and civil war won't bring back the past,
it will only destroy the future of everyone's kids and grandkids.

I think we will make it though this ok,
Social Media is amplfying it,
But there are too many people in power, who will lose power, if the above were to happen.

At some point in time, the Republican party will move back towards reclaiming the moderates, and when it does, it will align both parties into the prevention of what we are seeing publically said today. Right now the Republican Party is relying on all those who think this way for votes.

I also believe that Younger black males, and significant subsets of the hispanic population will eventually move more towards the Republican Party, and that we have already seen this begin.

As that happens it will give a second reason for the R's to move to the middle, and away from the groups pushing this apotlyptic agenda.

While I think all out civil war will be avoided, I do think we will see more OKC type event in the future, and for a while a continued increase in mass shootings, both in number and in scope.

We are in for a few bumpy decades. That is for sure. We've lanced a boil, its ugly, its going to take time to heal. But we'll be better on the other side.

Yes we do have anarchists on the left and supremacist's/fascists on the right. There are elements in both groups that want a civil war.
Yes, they have done a masterful job in the last 20 year, of promoting their messages via social media and other outlets in a way that cloaked their true intent.
Yes, a lot of people have bought into those messages, and slowly inched towards those radical views.



But if you ask someone, Do you want our country to be for your grandkids as it is, or a version of syria or Venezuela, most being to realize what they are saying will do to the kids and grandkids.

But being from Rural Oklahoma, I see this crazy fluff on my feeds, and its not good.

We are in a dangerous time. I think we'll come through it, but I'm not 100% certain we will.

I'm hoping that 25 years of experience in learning how to communicate online, through this game, will allow some of us on this community to help others learn how to communicate.

My 2nd favorite was in a mid-sized game.

Sigil of Omega had approached with a spreadsheet that showed a demo MB resller could do well.
No one had ever done this before.

This is the only instance where I could be accused of violating the rules. as I had to go work some church camps.

So I did commie wufbam! style race to 12k acres,
I converted to DMBR, (before theo existed.)
Sigil finished out the set, when I went to work at camp and we ended up top 5.

And the questions we got when people did ops on us were hilarious.

So mine was back in 2000/2001, there was a major introduction of new code/goverenments etc that led to a 6 week reset for the 1b game.

And yes, there were alliance members in there of the top players. Supporting them.

I hid out, I got fat, and stocked early, ending up midsized in land, but left alone. I stayed off the boards where everyone was trying to figure out who was whom. I outperformed my abilities.

and I jumped into 2nd place. (and would have finished 2nd or third). And No one knew who I was, and assumed I was someone I was not.
I got hammered with a ton of GS's all the way down to 20th.
Techno dropped land, and had his buddies nuke him dead. to win. and avoid that fate and keep the win.

It was brutal, but fun.

I won the small games, and midsized games, but that was the closest I came to winning the large game.

This is like a diary I'd read of a dead soldier in a video game.

If I ever build something like that, you're hired:)

But I will gladly say, anyone who attacks another person on this forum, for who they are, who they love, for their race, religion, politics etc....I have no respect for.

I didn't see what happened, but as a community, we need to show we've been dealing with these issues for 20+ years online and how to have a positive, community full of differences of thoughts and opinions. UNlike the world around us, that just discovered this world the last few years.

When it comes to war, LAF is no 1. Laf has been number 1 for years. I can't remember a time since Son Goku's Leadership that LAF hasn't been the top warring alliance in the game. Someone please prove me wrong.

LAF also happens to be the best netting alliance in the game.

And as much as it pains me to say it, they're the best alliance in the history of the game.

Yes, LAF started off as a bunch of pansy ass netters. But over time they grew teeth. And under Hanlong/Son Goku, they combined the arts of diplomacy, netting, and war to become the dominant alliance.

On Saturday, I spent 30$ to get premium credits.

I still haven't gotten credit for them and am not able to use them for bonuses.

I posted this on a more appropriate thread on Sunday, Got a response, an inbox message.
Nothing in 48 hrs since that, and still no credits.

What does it take to get what you pay for around here?

Step 3. Establishing the ideal time. We're moving into this phase, where you begin to dehumanize and make less than those that disagree with you.
Step 4. The End Justifies any means. This is where you will begin to see book burnings, arson, smaller acts of violence and terror. (Shooting aborition clinic doctors.)
step 5. Holy war (Domestic Terrorism.)

I truly do believe as the religious right loses power they elements of them (a smaller percentage at each step) will go down these 5 steps.

It happens in Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, at some level in different parts of the world. Either today or in History.

My concern, is this tendency + libetaraian anarchists (and progressive anarchists) form a large enough coalition to create a period of instability that threatens our country.

I don't think it has to happen, but I do think its a possibility we need to be aware of. But I don't think we're tehre yet, its going to take being out of power for 5-20 years for the religious right to move to stage 4 and 5. I think....
