I am an inactive player in none of the alliances involved but those post didn't look like you were just not going to pact LaF. It looked like your intent was to get as many people as possible on the server to drop them and hit them. They all made a point of saying you would go to war for anyone who did dropped LaF. They sounded like you were saying we are going to screw with LaF for at least 6 months join up for the fun. I am not saying that is wrong given the situation but i don't see how you can't see the posts were essentially hostile from the other perspective.

The SOL thread pretty much sealed the deal that there was going to be war when they said where they would not accept L:L. Something those alliances have gone to war about before.

It be like someone posting on PDM we are dropping your pact and we will be taking cross country L:L retals on you. Oh don't like that?? Well you will be taking it or didn't you notice those 4 other posts of people itching to hit you with an open invitation for anyone else interested.

That may not have been you intent but you can see how it could be seen that way. If you guys really want to move past this you need to stop posturing on AT and actually sit down both sides and come to an agreement as a whole.

I would say it is a ROR most people have either 24 hours or 48 hours listed for window where that country can't be hit. It is also 2 hits within 24 hr period which most people don't accept either.

It is impossible to have even wars. There are to many factors that go into it to really have a perfectly balanced war.

Assuming they are competent when selecting targets and active. A first strike is way to overpowered and grants the aggressor a major advantage.

Also country builds play a huge role in outcome of WAR. If one is war prepped the other is out there netting even if number are even at start the builds will have a huge impact over time.

You only ever get a real even war in prearranged wars with agreed upon start point. Even then people recruit like mad to try to get their numbers up and it normally doesn't end up all that even.

If the war isn't a prearranged or friendly war about bragging rights but about a disagreement over policy or genuine issue with he other alliance, then really why does it matter if it is even or not.

Whatever your goal is be it get ride of land trading, punish cheaters, get ride of L:L, Get L:L, ect... you care about the outcome not that both sides are even. You are fighting for the best interest of your alliance not trying to have as good a war as possible.

Seriously this thread is a giant circle jerk. Most of these alliances had issues prior to the cheating coming out. Your previous relationship obviously clouds how you see the events.

Group A: If you were constantly fighting LaF or had bad relations with them to begin with you are more likely to take it as their leaders are cheating making the alliance as a whole dirty and responsible for the cheating. All there accomplishments were not legitimate as they had an unfair advantage that had a large negative impact on your alliance. That the other people in the alliance had to know something was going on and were just turning a blind eye. The reason you never liked them all along is cause you knew they were cheaters.

Group B: If you were a LaF ally you are more likely to see it as two players cheated and the alliance/other leaders weren't aware it was happening. That the Mods dealt with the issue by removing those players from the game. Those player were heads and gave LaF an advantage but it ultimately didnt impact your alliance negatively in the grand scheme of things. Those leaders still with LaF you have a relationship with and that the alliance as a whole had no idea what was going on.

Then threads were posted amounting to we are not pacting you for 6 months and will backup anyone that doesn't pact LaF (making a point to state you would go to war). Demanding cheaters be banned and IP logs released.

Group A: Reads this we are going to isolate and punish LaF for their Cheating. This is about showing them we won't accept cheating in the game and teach them a lesson. The goal is not to destroy LaF or severely cripple them in the long run.

Group B: Reads this as they are going gangbang LaF. They are going to hit LaF for 6 months to grind them down until they are a shell of what they are now. They are against anyone who might stand by LaF and basically said screw LaF over and we will protect you. The goal is to destroy LaF or severely cripple them in the long run.

If you were neutral alliance you are doing one of two things. I am staying the hell out of that mess not changing relations or picking a side. Or it makes sense politically and belief wise for me to get involved with one side or another.

That is essentially how you got to where you are now. If the situation were two EVO heads the situation would be almost identical just the sides reversed. This is much more about stupid grudges you guys are carrying than anything that happened.

LaF - Those guys fluff the bed there is no way around that. They were your leaders so it impacts your alliance as a whole. No one has to give you the benefit of the doubt. Deal with the consequences best you can and move on.

Guys on LaF side – You are backing an ally and it is an unpopular move. Essentially it comes down to you trust Laf and think they are a valuable ally. Realize some will see you backing cheaters but ultimately your backing the alliance and people that are left not the two guys who cheated.

Anti-LaF – You have every right to want retribution but admit you wanted it before anyway. You have every reason not to give them the benefit of the doubt based on your history. Get off the high horse and just do what you set out to do which is cripple LaF.

This thread is funny. MD kills RD country without RD approval. That is pretty solid reason for War in most circumstances. You seem to be bickering about details of the explanation but seems like you both said the explanation was offered after the fact. From that moment RD was potentially going to hit you the following set. Hell they were probably going to possibly jump in anyway and you just ensured it essentially.
Laf was going to get gangbanged and was setting up its side. Given that and just the basics of who Laf was pacted to how do you not realize RD was going to jump in at some point? If anything this is just piss poor planning on MDs part. You gave RD a legitimate reason to jump on. You should have accounted for the possibility in your planning of the War this reset.
Everything else is just smart planning on RD’s part. Coordinating with the two other tags hitting you is expected as it is most efficient way to kill you and they are there allies. Jumping in when it was to their sides advantage.

You can have kids with out being their biological parents. Adoption or using a surrogate. Those are their kids whether the parents are straight or gay.

Being single does not deny you those rights. You have the option to get legally married if you decide to at any time. Doing so will give you and your spouse those rights. It is essentially your right to enter into marriage and by doing so entitle yourself to those items.

If your issue was with the availability of legal marriage at all I could see you make a case for that. But not when you only want to exclude a group based on sexual orientation.

Dibs your missing the point. Being legally married entitles you to a list of rights ranging from inheritance, immigration/residency rights, bereavement or sick leave to care for a partner, status as next-of-kin for hospital visits and medical decisions where one partner is too ill to be competent. That is just a few items that a legal marriage provides people. There is no reason for the state to deny those rights using religious justifications.

Stability and loving environment are not provided by marriage. It is provided by the individuals raising a child. It really has nothing to do with a legal marriage (aside from being legally married affords you rights in case of divorce with regards to children). Having children isn't a requirement for legal marriage. Saying two people can't biologically produce a child so they should be denied the benefits of a legal marriage makes no sense. You could use the same logic to deny a marriage when one person is sterile.

Alin you could substitute women rights or african american rights into those statements. And find poeple who felt the same but you would probably have different feelings about it.

It shouldn't have anything to do with religion. If marriage is a legal union being recognized by the state, then applying religious beliefs to define the constraints of that union is going against the separation of church and state.

They should have the same right to get married via the state as anyone else. It is not an infringement on the churches freedom of religion as there is no requirement that the church participate in the union. The state does not define marriage in a religious context.

They did release a newer version of Colonization that runs of civ engine.I actually like the original colonization a lot better than newer version. Not sure if it is nostalgia but the new one feels off to me.

I have played Civ 5 it is good. Never played 4 so can't compare. I think the main difference are graphics and the City State mechanics they have in 5. It is an easy way to burn off some hours when your bored. If you like the series id say picking it up isn't a bad idea but if you rarely played old ones probably not worth it.

We tried to honor the agreement without getting dragged into the conflict by talking to LCN before killing countries in their tag. We waited to long before trying to do something. In the end LCN and PDM came to an agreement on the countries. The whole thing took to much time.

PDM has a right to be pissed we agreed to police plain and simple. Resolving the situation took to long and it didn’t happen how I would have expected it to if I were in PDM.

LCN got stuck with this situation by those 3 not being clear on why they were allowed to leave Sanct. They worked with us and PDM towards resolving the situation. Really they didn't have to at all.
