Any fool can smash a shuttlefluff with poor technique, . What you want to look for are the kids that have the ability to use different angles on their shots. Pay attention to their net game, it will show off their control and technique more.

Don't focus on who won the point, focus on how the point was won. If the point is lost through the shuttle going out or hitting the net, was it because the kid tried a difficult shot/point winning shot.

Having played all 3 I can tell you that badminton is completely different. The main things I would look for are below:

Footwork (essential!) - This is not their movement around the court, it is their ability to place themselves in the correct position for optimum shot return.

Shot variety - Different use of angles and distances. If they have a drop shot, take them.

Winning mentality - Are they just returning the shuttlefluff or are they trying to win the point.

Court movement - Their placement on the court following their shots. Do they watch the shuttle or do they move back to centre court.

Serve - Same as winning mentality. Is their serve a token effort or are they trying to ace their opp.

Smash - Is it brute force (ignore their smash) or is it through technique (proper rotation of the arm and wrist).

Court awarenes - Do they realise where they are on the court and how it impacts on their shot selection? Ties in with variety.

Physical ability - Anticipation, reactions/reflexes, stamina and acceleration (in that order).

That's off the top of my head. You need any help/info then drop me a pm, I'm happy to help.

Christ the immaturity in this place is unbelieveable. None of you are children so stop acting like it.

i am with you on this one, though- retal messages are a must if you expect to not be ror. especially for a dh a day earlier.
haha why do people need a message to know who they hit? in fact, if i dont recognize it as someone i hit the first thing i do every time is go to eestats and check.

also leetz probably shouldnt brag about turning a guy into a parking lot like this and is acting a little dumb but actually i kind of agree with him. dansteve is the one who chose to make it a war so i dont know why he's complaining so much. he had a choice: accept the fact he got RoR'd (but still ended up +600), or go to war, and he chose war. but i guess i just don't believe in the sanctity of retals as much as many others (especially 1k+ retal for a DH).

also no way dansteve got 24m with an all-x his second round ever?

Does sound slightly odd. Maybe he is just awesome...

So to sum up this thread, tduong randomly threw out an accusation with no relevant evidence to back it up. His evidence about his "netting sets" being ruined was of him double tapping a noob and gettin GSed which destroyed his set. He then has poorly defended land and loses it when he moves out of DR. He deices the only retal he will take is from the country that didn't take any land and over retal by 4 retals.

Have I missed anything?

So CI has won 52% of the last 5 rounds. It would be interesting to see the rest of the top 10s for those rounds as well.

Something needs to be balanced.

That's why you wasn't deleted. You admitted to it but you never said you were asked to/discussed it. If they do not have evidence from the other player stating otherwise, it can not be proven.

There has to be clear evidence that leaves no doubt, for you to be deleted.

It can be seen as cooperation and is against the rules. Depends entirely on whether it has been purpously done and has both countries consent.

Tbh I do understand where blid is coming from. In the spirit of sportmanship and fair play, it would prob be right to not retal a bounced attack. Since FA can not be offered to cover the costs, a retal has to be taken. Another thing is that retalling hits often makes people have second thoughts about hitting you.

You may very well dispute that you did not play your contry to its full capacity. Because of this I decided to work out the total networth scored as the rank is based on the level of playing field during that game. Below are the totals:

Oldman - 218.8m nw
JJ23 - 160.8m nw

To make this fair in case some of the countries weren't played to their full capacity, I took the top 3 countries from the previous 10 sets and worked out the average. This is as follows:

Oldman average 29m nw
JJ23 average 24.3m nw

Now I know Oldman doesn't really like to be called one of the best but he really is. As the figures show, he averages better than JJ23 for the previous 10 sets. Going any further back would probably show that JJ23 had a lead over Oldman, however, that has now been reversed and Oldman continually averages better.

you are an idiot. you cannot take resets of mine where i did not play 1800 turns.

first off. you couldnt beat me anyways, but say if i allowed you to only take 1200 turns while i took 1800, the results wouldnt even be close.

and you must have to be a tard to get 24.3M avg nw for my best 3 countries... with a 33M and a 32M, all i would need for 24M avg is 7M for the 3rd. pfft. shows how much of a rocket scientist you are.

If you actually care to read the post instead of internet raging, you would see that I took the top 3 finishes from the previous 10 sets that did not include purples.

I've never claimed to be good at this game, just distinctly average. Also, If i played 1200 turns and you played 1800 turns, ofcourse they wouldn't be close.

Re-read the post, I said you had the edge over Oldman. earlier on in Express. Going by recent rounds, he has been the more consistant player. The numbers don't need an explanation, they are what they are.

I have not bashed you nor said you are a bad player so p[ease reframe from the needless insults. If you have a problem with anything I have said then PM me and we will sort it out.

If JJ calls out a load of people and they kill him then its not coordinated. Thats JJ being killed for running his mouth. If JJ attacks someone and lots of countries attack him then that is coordinated.

As this is a solo server, I expect it to remain so.

I suppose in a way the mods are just being consistent. They ahve said they will not reveal the reason to the board so that people do not think of ways to get around how they was found out (awfully written but I can't be bothered re-writting).

Since they do not want the reasons released, they will probably actively delete all threads/posts regarding it.

I would still like to know the reasons though. Just my curious nature :)

It does seem rather odd that you can receive a ban for pointing out a cheater yet they don't seem to reserve much of a punishment.

I never feel like a suspension really affects people. You can take a month off from a game and come back and do it again. In game punishments would cause them to use up their time and not finish as well. Below is what I would do.

You cheat once = Alliances and bonuses are disabled for 3 sets.
You cheat twice = As above but you receive -10% PCI for 5 sets.
You cheat 3 times = As above and the market is disabled for you.

This is sets where they have to play, not just opt out.

This way the cheaters might learn from their punishments or leave the game entirely.
