ultimately given the restrictions placed on safe listed players it would be almost impossible to run multies to any kind of benefit to the player. We have deleted people for abusing the safelist in the past.

I emailed the admins but haven't heard back. My brother and I play Earth and are allies. We live together so are we not allowed to attack together or work together to better our countries? I want to make sure I play by the rules.
That is correct, you may not be allied to each other if you play from the same computer/home network.
Your best bet is to msg one of the admins here on the forums or chat with them live on IRC at #earthempires,hope this helps.
It does sound weird that you and your brother won't be able to help each other, but please understand that, it's for the betterment of the game.
In the previous versions of this game hosted by another company and different admins, it was filled with people running multies, some extreme cases of people using internet cafes and running over 100 countries.
The admins definitely wants to keep that in the history section and not ever have that happen in this game, yet, they are very understanding and have created this safe list for family members to play together, but with stricter rules to prevent people from cheating.
I understand if one person does the spy op and the other does the grab that that would be wrong, but during times of war is it okay that both people on a safe list attack the same country at the same time as the rest of the clan? I do mean like from 2 computers with 2 countries that are safe listed both running turns at the same time, not one right after the other.
