The truly good takeaway i have is that speaking openly about mental illness has helped me understand myself better, and people have generally been more helpful than you'd think. I used to think all people are innately greedy, but now i think the vast majority care about their neighbor.

We've come a long way to the point that i can say I'm bisexual and mentally ill on these forums and people are pretty nice to me still, although sometimes in RL I fear it's predominantly because I'm an articulate nonviolent white man.
