No, because when the republicans boast about loving freedom, they are only referring to economic freedom (freedom for business to be unregulated).
They aren't interested in social/personal freedom. They are interested in imposing christian ideals of proper behavior onto everyone, regardless of whether others adhere to christian beliefs.
