i saw this play out from a very unique perspective. my fiance went to SC, both her parents met at SC, all 4 grandparents met at SC, and all the way back 6 generations to the founding of the school.

they live and die SC football and my first game was @ syracuse last fall. i was able to hang out with all the old alumni and you would not have believed how high up they were on Kiffin at the time. Lane this. Monty that.

the game started and Barkley got completely pressured by 'cuse and freaked out like the pansy he is and Kiffin made some completely arrogant play calls.
in addition to this, i thought kiffin walked around the place like he was some superstar. the guy just seemed like a douche.

a few games later came the loss to UCLA, which was just unfathomable to true SC fans. that's when the calls for fire lane kiffen came, and since then, the entire community has been routing against SC, in the hopes that another embarrassing season would solidify Lame Kiffin's exit.

and looks like it finally has.
