I think it's funny that in his public apology to his rape accuser, he said (I'm paraphrasing) I'm sorry you didn't view the encounter as consensual, but I did.

Hey idiots, you can have your opinions, but show some decorum, a person just died.

Rest in peace Kobe.

Would it be more acceptable to say bad things about him if he died while raping someone? Or where is the line?

If you're talking about something he did almost 20 years ago you really need to examine yourself.

His life has been in the public spotlight since 18 (when he joined the NBA). How many of you can honestly say you've done nothing wrong since age 18? If you raise your hand,. then you're boring as fluff.

Can't believe it. I always think it's silly when celebrities die and people go on social media to say how sad they are, but this had me shaken today. I hated him as a player beating all my favorite teams, but always respected him. After he retired, he did some of the best, most in depth basketball analysis in existence. I paid for ESPN+ just to watch his show. I'd have to rewind over and over to understand what he was pointing out.

It's not hyperbole to say we just lost one of the most intelligent and insightful basketball minds alive. I was really hoping that one day he would become a commentator during the games, he would have been amazing at it.

RIP Kobe

I was told one person died. I was not told children died. I blame lack of investigation on my end.

Likely controlled flight into terrain. It is crazy because the pilot should be instrument rated. All S-76 pilots are. He even requested SVFR clearance, so he was 100% IFR. Disorentation is a real thing in low visibility. FAA should re-think helicopter SVFR mins. Current ones are way too low for a 200 MPH helicopter imo.

Hitting a hill at 185mph is atleast a merciful way to be taken out. If not cruel in its randomness.
