Nostalgia overload! I won a tournament game back in 2000 and just now learned that Earth: 2025 is still alive. I was addicted back in the day - I remember going on a work trip and having someone play my countries for me so I wouldn't fall behind while I was away. Even the format of this forum is bringing me back. My tag was "Saddam" back then (times change).

If I haven't played in 12 years, how recognizable would the game be to me? Is it the same game with some balance changes?

same game with tweaks, basics are same although game has changed alot since 2000.

wiki (link at top) has changes from earth2025 and recent changes, reading wiki gets you back on your feet but it might be better to play at Alliance (lilke ICN, http://www.icngary.com) or at FFA (Elysium, http://www.boxcarhosting.com/...ation.php?clanID=Elysium) testing strats with upto 16 countries and get help from alliancemates.

I have played and sweated this game all the way thru college and beyond..when Earth was considered just a side game...and now that so called BIG game is gone but the Earth game is still here.
