They didn't admit the BP rig was leaking oil for something like a week either qz... and we all know how that turned out.

The bp rig started leaking because it was a drilling platform and it sank, destroying the pipe that went from the floating platform to the seabed.

It is unclear wether this is a drilling or production platform nor wether it's a floating or anchored platform.

Too many variables to know for sure till we gat more information.
